Food was really good. Particularly liked the avocado toast. I added burnt pork belly ends. Fantastic! Drinks were also good. Loved the service, where staff didn’t serve items that tasted strange (and were great about saying it up front!). I’d happily eat here again, as should you!

What a gem! Our service was outstanding! They really seem to enjoy their job. That vibe alone made me want to give 5 stars. So attentive even though they got slammed! The food was delicious, we had the Loco moco and Spam and eggs. Perfect portions, tasty gravy. We also got a pastry to share that melted in our mouths. Thank you for a wonderful last meal in Honolulu!

During my 4 days stay in Honolulu I went Sunny’s three times. If not for the sake of “I have to try somewhere else before I leave” I’d go back again the 4th day (and that somewhere else was a total fail). Everything is good. Coffee is good, food is delicious and generous portion, everyone in the shop is so lovely. There is a reason they got 4.9 star out of 5.

Found this place around my hotel. The coffee is great, the prices good, and the good is excellent. The owner bakes some puffed pastries every morning, and the vegetarian and meat options are my favorite. Also tried the apple strudel and that was excellent as well. I was there almost every morning I was in Waikiki, and one day went twice. I'm so glad I found that spot.

We stumbled across Sunny’s walking around Waikiki after our original breakfast plans fell through. The friendly staff and delicious food made our morning! We ordered the loco moco, kimchi fried rice, and avocado toast. Everything tasted wonderful, with a rich, delicious flavor. It might have been the best loco moco I’ve ever had (so good I didn’t get a chance to snap a photo before it was gone)! We enjoyed sitting in the outdoor seating area to the right of the building. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Go check out Sunny's Local Grind! Located at 464 Ena Rd. West Waikiki. The food and pastries are so good! My triple espresso and heavy cream was delicious (both of them 😆 1st one on ice and 2nd one hot! Trash Can (omelet with everything delicious), Mahi Mahi tacos 🌮, brekkii sandwich (biscuit, cheese, egg and choice of meat w/taters) and build your own burger (the Fries and Taters are so damn crunchy 😋 I LOVE CRISPY CRUNCHY WELL COOKED POTATO 🥔 PRODUCTS!!!!!!). Lots of cute hats, clothes, hydros, artwork 🖼 galore! I need to go back and try the burnt ends Loco Moco which i believe is a pork belly Loco Moco and definitely need the Kimchi fried rice in my life because duh..Blahahaha hope to see everyone there!

This is such a fun and local spot. The local pup came in and got her morning treat and the owner for their coffee :) we got the spam and eggs and loco moco. Coffee was a cold brew with a little holiday cheer added and a regular with a touch of cream. Service was great and quick and we got the food to go back to our local hotel. The walk here was quite easy from the area hotels. Can also order ahead but I wanted to know what they recommended.

Hole-in-the-wall place with an interesting vibe. People of various backgrounds coming in including locals. Hip-hop filtering in from kitchen. Great freshly baked pastries. Prices are decent. Sit indoors or out (on street or on the side in shade). Not touristy and not formal. Pleasant employees.
