👍👍 Amazing in every aspect! Definitely a great place to bring a foodie for special occasions. Food is expertly prepared using the best quality ingredients and presentation is on point. I'd recommend getting a cold + hot appetizer + pasta + main and save room for dessert! We tried the cold cauliflowe... People often mention truffle, experience, recommend,

We visited Margotto during our trip to Hawaii. The restaurant has seasonal menus that change throughout the year. It was our first truffle experience and we had the 10-11 course meal. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Everyone took their time to greet and speak to us. The food was wonderful and this is a place I would definitely recommend for any special occasion. The winter black truffle from Tasmania was amazing, this is a must try experience!

Amazing in every aspect! Definitely a great place to bring a foodie for special occasions. Food is expertly prepared using the best quality ingredients and presentation is on point. I'd recommend getting a cold + hot appetizer + pasta + main and save room for dessert! We tried the cold cauliflower potage which was like a whipped creamy cauliflower soup purée and got uni on the side bc hubs does not eat that. 10/10! The TK egg on toast with sauce is so simple yet it has a definite wow factor so I'd recommend ordering it if you haven't tried it. We tried 2 pastas bc we couldn't decide which one to get and it was a lot of food but worth it. The burrata melted on top of tomato sauce was perfection. The carbonara was creamy and dreamy with thick smoky chunks of pancetta. YUM! For mains we ordered the wagyu and it was small but oh so flavorful! The lamb chops were also delicious just a tad undercooked IMO. Both were served with local veggies that were perfectly cooked. You can order truffles and I recommend adding this touch of decadence! Especially in the winter, the white truffles were way better than the black ones. They weigh it out in front of you then shave or grate it onto the food. We were going to order a bottle of wine but instead opted to do custom wine pairings for the dishes we ordered and that was the right choice bc we got to try a variety of flavors and the same wine wouldn't have been such a diverse gastronomic journey. Their sommelier definitely knows his stuff! The service is the best out of anywhere else I've been on island/ the world for that matter! We did the 8pm seating on a Friday night and had the intimate front dining room so it was cozy and romantic. We had 3 servers (I'm so bad with names but they know who they are!). They really made our meal into a 5 star overall experience! We were celebrating our 23rd anniversary so my hubby wanted to do something special and they delivered! We even got a free champagne to toast with and a free dessert! Their famous chocolate truffles! I attended the Yelp elite event a while back and thought this would be a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion and my hubby must be able to hear my thoughts bc he took me here as a "surprise" because after 23 years we can read each others minds! Cheers to love, truffles, champagne and Yelp!

I was invited to a four-course with rosé and red wines. Truffles centric French Japanese cuisine. Really enjoyed everything, especially the pasta! I chatted with owner Robert Hori and the award winning chef from Tokyo… so down to earth! Boujee… of course, but I’ll return in a heartbeat! Note: cuisine is fine dining, but atmosphere is welcoming and unpretentious.

I booked this spot for our babymoon since we like to enjoy at least one fine dining experience on our trips. We came here without any expectations and was quickly amazed. Parking is a bit hard here so we circled a few times before finding something. Upon arrival we got seated immediately and really appreciated the cute napkin layout of their bow tie pasta on the napkin like the upper part of suit. Our waiters were friendly and accommodating which always makes the experience more enjoyable. I didn’t opt in for the tasting menu because of the raw dishes due to my pregnancy so we did a la carte. I lived vicariously through our neighboring tables 😅🥲 we started with the tripe tomato stew and was definitely pleased with the flavors and softness of the tripe (not too chewy at all). My favorite were the pastas: cacio de Pepe and the carbonara with white truffle slices. I liked the cacio de Pepe more even though it was just noodles — super buttery; firm noodles, and just amazing taste (highly recommend). Definitely came here for the truffle they’re known for and reasonably priced at $15/gram for the white truffle. I like the white because of its stronger smell and taste over the summer black ones. Our main dishes were the duck and the pork. I was pleasantly surprised with the pork (reminded me of pork katsu) but the meat was a great amount (very minimal fat in it) and the crispy exterior was flavored so well. We had to add truffle on top of these main dishes too, of course and came out to be 10 grams overall on our white truffle indulgement. Ended dessert with the hazelnut semifredd, which had truffle infused flavor in the hazelnut too! The ice cream was a great way to end it all. Overall spent around $470 including tips for two. Recommend if you’re into truffles :)

Then there are nice things like… dinner at Margotto. Service, atmosphere, art on the walls, all an elegant delight. Absolutely loved the TKG Tamago Kake Gohan with farm-fresh egg & its stellar 10-shouyu-and sauce, eventually topped with fresh Tartufo Bianco d’Alba truffle. Also standing out was the Caviar Monaka Luxe. Because it’s caviar. And 10x cheers to our sommelier — we loved the parallel tasting of the Château de Pez St-Estèphe & Ch Lassègue GC Bordeaux wines. And the Domaine de Durban Muscat de Baumes-de-Venise. The atmosphere, serene and discrete, yet alive and exploratory, encourages true enjoyment of the meal.

Truly world class dining experience located close to Ala Moana. It may not look like much from the outside but step inside and be ovwhelmed with cuisine that rivals the best of Paris and Tokyo. The service is 5 Star. The wine and champagne list incredible. What a experience this place is!!

We visited Margotto’s for the sushi hand roll experience. What a fabulous dinner! The food was delicious and beautiful. The service was top notch, without being stuffy. I highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back to try the house menu!

Had a wonderful dinner and bottle of champagne at this hidden gem. It's worth the visit. I'll definitely come back again when in Waikiki again. The Wagyu and the first dish with the three small starters were my favorite.
