The pictures lie! Do not stay here! This place needs to be torn down. 1st we were trying to check in, I went to get the luggage cart (there was only one for the 700+ rooms) the security guard said I could take it but would need to leave an ID, didn’t have my ID my wife was using it to check in. So I couldn’t use the cart. 2nd they don’t have the elevators labeled. There is 1 elevator for the parking garage and then 4 elevators for the rest of the hotel. You can’t access the hotel from the parking garage unless you go down to the lobby from the parking garage and then go up the hotel elevators. 3rd we finally get up to our Room and are sorely disappointed the fridge is a super mini fridge not room for much at all. Half the outlets in the room didn’t work. There is glass or plastic window in the wall between the bedroom and the bathroom, so no privacy at all. The locks on the door to the room don’t work except for the chain lock. The bathroom door is supposed to slide shut, it doesn’t even move. It’s stuck open, So no privacy at all. There were cockroaches everywhere! During our stay we had to clean our room ourselves. They didn’t have any cleaning staff except on Saturdays. Our stay was from a Tuesday through the next Wednesday so our room only was cleaned once, the rest of the time we had to clean it. On our last day there only one elevator for the hotel was working and one elevator for the parking garage was working. We were trying to check out, it took us 45 minutes to an hour just to get an elevator to get down to the lobby. The restaurant in the lobby was the only good thing in that hotel. They had delicious food.

I should’ve read the reviews before booking this hotel. I booked a same day flight to Hawaii and needed a hotel fast, so I went on hopper and this place showed up on the search. From the photos it looked very nice and classy and very affordable. So I booked it! When I got to the hotel I started noticing how run down the place is, but I already paid so I decided to check in. Check in process was a breeze, had to pay a $25 resort fee per day plus $50 deposit. Got my key card and went upstairs to my room. When I got out of the elevator, I noticed the hallway was really, slummy for a lack of a better word. The bright white fluorescent light made everything look cheap and uninviting. The hallway reeked of fried fish for some reason. When I got to my room I noticed it barely even looked like the photos they had online. The room was in pretty bad condition. The lights were also a bright fluorescent white, which I can’t stand, a warmer temperature light would make the room feel more homey. I went into the bathroom to use the toilet and of course there is a cockroach crawling around in the bathtub, I took a video so that I could show front desk. When I went out to the bedroom I found another cockroach crawling around ON THE BED, at this point I had it. I recorded it on video, grabbed my bags and went downstairs to talk to the staff member. I can deal with cockroaches in the tub, but not crawling all over me while I’m sleeping. I showed the video to the front desk person, Larry and he was very accommodating. In fact, Larry is the only reason why this place is getting 2 stars, he saved the day. He apologized profusely, offered to put me in another room but I declined and asked for a refund. since I prepaid for the room on hopper, I had to text their support team to get my money back. Larry went out of his way to talk to them so that I could get my money back so I could book another hotel. I know cockroaches are very common in Hawaii, but I’ve been coming here multiple times a year for the past 10 years and I had never encountered a cockroach in my room.

MY 1 year old BABY WAS ABOUT TO DIE BECAUSE OF THIS HOTEL STAFF. We got locked out in the balcony and baby was inside the room. They dont have a master key to open the door. We kept calling and shouting for help for about 40 mins. Nobody was picking up call at the front desk. Even 911 didn’t help. My husband somehow managed to break the glass and WE RESCUED our baby. THE HOTEL STAFF AGREED THAT THEIR MASTER KEY DOESNT WORK!! If you have babies please dont stay at this hotel. They will let your baby die.

We booked this hotel for a little staycation, and booked an ocean view room- upon checking in and getting to our room it most definitely was not ocean view but just city view, We called the front desk and they were nice and quick about fixing the issue and moving us into a different room. The rooms do not look like the pictures, and they smell musty, and sour because of the trash chutes. The curtains had rips and holes all through out it, and the floor was sticky. I don't think it’s worth the price of $250 per night we paid. We could’ve booked a better hotel for that amount they charged. The jacuzzi was closed, you have to pay extra for the gym access, and parking was $40 per night for hotel guest. The only good thing about this hotel was the staff, their pool and the location.

Keep in mind, these are condos. Some are very well maintained, some not so much. I absolutely loved the view, the location is perfect. I can't speak for any other units aside from the two I saw. The difference between the 2 was night and day. Choose wisely. We had to be moved to another location due to a cockroach infestation.

Stayed here during our 10 day quarantine. Staff was very nice and helpful! Room was spacious. We had a 1 bedroom king suite with the full kitchen. Enjoyed our stay. If I had to put a con I'd say the room could be cleaned better. I found a lot of dust in certain parts of the room, and quite a few leftover hair strings, but this is why I do my own cleaning when staying in hotel rooms, especially with covid-19 going around. Other than the cleanliness, we enjoyed our stay!

Avoid this hotel at all costs : - Cockroaches in the room, crawling on your belongings, - No phonic isolation at all, and the Ala Wai boulevard is quite noisy. If you are a light sleeper the cars and the sirens will wake you up during the night. You cannot really close the weird old windows. - Curtains are completely useless, they do not block the light. Be prepared to be woken up at 6am with the daylight shattering through the room, - The hallway smells like rotten fish or garbage depending on the day, - Rooms are not clean, - Last but not least, the housekeeping entered the room without authorization and stole some of our stuff. The front desk employees couldn’t care less when we reported the theft. Please book a room elsewhere. This hotel will make you feel unsafe, disgusted, and tired. There are plenty of other hotels closer to Waikiki beach in which you can actually enjoy your stay.

The stay for us was terrible and we do not recommend due to the roaches! Do not ignore the bad reviews and photos. AESTHETICS: The pictures do not match the images online. The view from the deck is the only great thing I can say. PARKING: $30 a night and it appeared safe. I rented a car because I had to travel to the other side of the island otherwise no rental car is needed since you are so close to everything, food, and shopping. The airport is apx. 20-25 minutes away and barely any traffic. Try the Honolulu Bus or Uber/Lyft. STAFF: Kind, respectful, and accommodating. CHECK-IN: Located outside operating on a small desk. ROOM: Absolutely horrible. The room is nothing like the images online (great photographer). I don’t know how they received so many good reviews unless you have low standards. I booked this room because it was a 4 star hotel on other websites when indeed it is a 1 star hotel. Went to the bathroom and saw a roach. They gave me another room on the 11th floor and there were roaches on the kitchenette counter. They gave me another room on the 25 floor and when I got off the elevator it smelled like piss. I immediately went to the front desk and checked out, didn’t even stay one night, there was no way I was going to sleep in that bed or put my belongings on the floor. I asked for their best room and still not good enough. I was informed that the hotel has private residents and Airbnb owners at the hotel, therefore, they are not responsible for how the private residents live which is probably where the roaches are coming from. They had roaches back in 2019 and they still do in 2023. By the way I ended up at the Alohilani Resort nearby which is truly a 5 star hotel and worth every dime for peace of mind. AMENITIES: Don’t know I left. MANAGER: I dealt with 2 managers on duty who attempted to accommodate me by putting me in different rooms. EXIT: I have to admit they eventually refunded me my money due to the inconvenience. RECOMMENDATION TO HOTEL: Pest control your hotel and upgrade your rooms/bathrooms.

I’m not very picky on where I stay but I do have some positive things to say about this hotel. It’s very close to the beach, they have a liquor store inside the building but they have no refunds and I think you have to spend $5+ they have a cafe in the hotel and they have good breakfast if you’re not use to eating spam get use to it. It’s everywhere. They have a nice pool and incredible seating area. My hotel room was pretty nice it was hard to keep the sand from coming in but they had a broom in the room so it was very convenient. I didn’t have a beach view but I also didn’t get a hotel to sit on the balcony and stare at the beach. I’m getting my 🍑 down there and enjoying it. I came here to find my relatives back in march and I’m coming back in October for a family visit and I booked this hotel again. I’m happy to come back to this specific hotel.

Gets charge for amenities when you check in at the hotel. $25 plus tax totaling up to $30. Hotel wise - Floors are sticky, has kitchenette with no sink or dish soap. Only thing good about this place is the view.

Rooms just adequate space wise however we killed an average of 3 cockroaches per day in the bathroom..the curtains were thin and allowed for a lot of light to shine through during sleep hours and only a couple of working elevators for a large hotel population. Staff all very nice.

"UNDER CONSTRUCTION" means lots of noise. Nothing was actually clean but there were no roaches and no mosquitoes. Please factor that into your choice.

Amazing view of Diamond Head and so close too everything! If you do not mind walking, this is a walking distance to everything up to Ala Moana Center! The location was great; however, the building could use some upgrading. Halfway through my 7 night trip, I had to request for a room change due to pest issues. The customer service was amazing and diligently assisted me in moving to a new room.

We stayed in an Airbnb here and it was pretty nice. Great location the one downside is the pool was shut which was a bit frustrating.

Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Very clean area. Within walking distance to a lot of restaurants, Waikiki beach and shopping. Would most definitely recommend staying here.

We booked a room for 4 people and ended up by getting a room with ONE kingsize bed! The rest of us had to sleep in uncomfortable roller beds. To get a new room took one day and we had to check out for that in the morning, while we got our new room in the afternoon! Bad service! Old bathroom! Do not recommend!

It is very noisy - lots of cars, motorbikes with loud engines passing by everyday, even in midnight! I wake up every-time when they pass by, not a single good sleep after a month of staying here!

We’re currently staying here for our honeymoon. The front desk staff has been very friendly, but pool staff should communicate better with the front desk because we asked the front desk if we could use a daybed by the pool and they said yes!! We get down to the pool and use a daybed, then get yelled at by pool staff saying we can’t use them. Meanwhile there are signs by the daybeds showing the hours of operation, nothing about them being closed. So it’s not clear at all. We were embarrassed and forced to move while everyone was staring. At night when we came to the hot tub, there was a rowdy crowd in the hot tub drinking beer out of glass Corona bottles out in the open. We understood that was prohibited but pool staff walking by said nothing to them. Fast forward to today as I’m writing this in the hot tub I was just approached by pool staff yelling from the other side of the hot tub that I cannot have my water by the hot tub. It was in plastic. Which the rules say it’s okay. But he said I couldn’t have it here. He also had to yell for everyone in the hot tub to hear so yet again we were embarrassed. I’m not sure why it was okay for the glass beer bottles to be here and not my plastic water. Another note is that they close the pool every two hours for “deep cleaning” yet we saw NO STAFF at the pool area during those times. Trust me, we waited outside the pool area enjoying the view while waiting for it to open back up. Also. The room wasn’t the cleanest when we got there which is surprising in the new world of COVID that we live in. Could also use some updating. The amenity fee was high for not being able to use the gym without paying an additional fee so that’s confusing. It was also high for the pool being closed several times a day. We have a couple more nights here and I’m wishing we could cancel without losing money so that we could stay elsewhere. Definitely has been a disappointment. The pool staff cares more about me and my plastic water bottle than anything else. Pro tip: maybe you should approach kindly and quietly and not just yell across the pool and embarrass your guests.

The hotel was ok, we were there for 1 week. Unfortunately the room was cleaned just once. The other days we have done the rubbish by our own and had always go to the reception to get new towels for showering. The Whirlpool was great, never had one, which was so warm like this one. Thr location of the hotel was great. In my oppionion is the hotel to expensive for what we got.

Not sure if we got lucky or they fumigated the place but there were no roaches when I stayed here in May 2022. As others have said, the room is a bit dated/shabby but the location can’t be beat. Right in the heart of Waikiki. Pool/jacuzzi is nice, you have to pay extra to “register” to use the fitness center. Beach towels/chairs can be borrowed at the front desk.

This hotel was not the cleanest and on top of that due to Covid they don't clean your room during your stay. Most of the power outlets in the room did not work, I had to pull the bed out to get to one of the only outlets that worked. The shower head was really low and I had to crouch down to actually get under it. There is a window into the shower that is fogged, but you can still totally see through it enough to see someone in the shower. The air conditioner was really loud and would scare you awake every time it turned on. There are separate elevators for the hotel and the parking garage which would be fine if it didn't take 20 minutes to get onto the elevator because they are always full. On our last day only one elevator was working so it took us 45 minutes to be able to get one person on to hijack the elevator long enough to get our family down to the lobby to check out. The only positive about this hotel is the pool area is very nice. That's the only reason it's not getting one star.

I would recommend this hotel for sure. The staff is great, very friendly and helpful. The place was very clean. The pool, jacuzzi and the cabana areas were cleaned and sanitized everyday! It is within walking distance of most shops.

Good location, great front desk staff, and great views from the balcony. The parking is a little pricy and a little wonky with the payment, but is nice to have so close. The beach chairs and towels were nice. The chairs are not very comfortable though. The pictures are very misleading though. The building is very outdated and and the room is kind of shabby. The tops to the coffee table and entertainment center wasn't fully attached. The mattress and linens were very cheap. The carpet did not seem very clean, particularly with the limited housekeeping. The caulking in the bathroom was poorly done, the lining of the shower was peeling, and the plumbing was cheap and exposed. You just didn't feel clean in your own space which isn't what you want on vacation. I would say it is a nice 2 star hotel, but by no means meets 3 star cleanliness or quality. The best part of this hotel is the convenient location and friendly front desk.

Check in was easy. Check out was easier. We felt like it was a great budget hotel. Not fancy, not run down. On site parking was great for the rental. Gym has no free weights so you have to get creative but well kept up. Sauna is awesome but usually crowded. All the dudes at the front desk were awesome. They definitely earned their paychecks!

Done delivery for dominos, this place is very nice. Atleast the staff allow delivery guys to bring the food up.

It’s very ghetto. The lobby is underwhelming, but the rooms are very run-down. The A/C is just window units placed in each room & the interior design is questionable. On the bright side, the internet is good & you get a PlayStation 3 in your room.

  • 3/5 David V. 2 years ago on Google
It's a decent location which is about the only saving grace. The nice lobby threw me for a loop, as the rooms all have old finishings. The bathroom is tiny, shower is nothing fancy, might not even be tiled, it depends on which room you get. I became instantly disappointed. Hallways have an odd odor and are dark and creepy. It's a mixture of permanent residents and rentals which is odd to me, don't think that impacted our stay at all, just odd. We did have police outside the hotel a few days in a row with lights on, not sure what was happening but assuming it was something with a permanent resident? The front staff are all very professional and nice. I'd rather pay a bit more next time for a more ideal location and a better hotel.

It was a pleasant stay until after staying for 6 nights, we extended for two more night. I asked for housekeeping since we are staying for more than 7 days. I was assured I’ll get housekeeping after 2pm. We then left and did our activities for the day, I called the front desk around 4:30 to check if the room was already cleaned. The front desk reassured to me that the room is finished and cleaned. We came back around 11 pm at night to a messy room because housekeeping actually never came. Not sure what was the intention here, don’t lie to the guests about the room was cleaned because we are coming back to that room to sleep in.
