Great location, right across Waikiki beach. Good food, great customer service. Very friendly and respectful staff. We went during peak hours in the evening. The food was served on time, and there was no push to move out quickly for the next guest. Food portion was also good. Have to reluctantly reduce a point to give a 4 star because of the AC leaking drops of water where we were sitting. It bothered slightly, but was obvious enough to be taken care by the restaurant owners.

Excellent sushi! It’s so fresh that it melts in your mouths! Very small place so be ready to wait ( we didn’t have to wait aroubd 4:30pm) service is good and staff are friendly. Highly recommended

Great Fresh Sushi. We had a bridge combination. Everything was prepared wonderfully and super fresh. You need to write the name on the waiting list on the table outside. The wait can be up to one hour during the busiest time for dinner.

Cozy little restaurant with good food. The actual food looks better in real life than on the menu. We just had a Waikiki Boat to share for two, but the size was pretty good and we didn't even finish it all. The Asahi draft beer was served in a cool glass and rounded up a nice dinner. Would come back here.

Right after checking into our hotel, my husband and I were on the hunt for sushi and we were pleased with our food here. Big portions. Very fresh.

Great little sushi spot. Inside is small so there's a wait list if you want to dine in but takeout is quick. Everything was super fresh and tasted amazing.

On a Friday night we waited 30-40 minutes to get a table. It's a small dining area, but very clean with smaller tables and cushioned bench seats. There was only one server taking care of all the tables, but service remained fairly quick. Sushi was fresh with good flavor, but did not blow us away. Very expensive - expect to pay at least $15-$25 per roll.

My husband and I went here for dinner on our last night in Waikiki for my husbands birthday. We both ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Don and my husband also ordered a salad too. Due to food issues, I have to have my meal prepared differently and they were able to do it the way I’m able to eat it. The food was good and we both enjoyed our meals. The staff is also pleasant. It’s not a big place so if you get there after 5 it can get crowded and you have to wait for a table.

If I could give Furusato more than 5 stars I would. This restaurant was absolutely amazing. Be prepared to wait. We waited 40 minutes on a Wednesday night at the end of September. The wait was certainly worth it. The restaurant is small, with an intimate feeling and the service is excellent. The sushi is incredibly fresh and all made perfectly and promptly. If you're in the Waikiki area and love sushi you must go to Furusato.

It came across this since it was close by our hotel. They have small menu and simple menu. The food was fresh and delicious. We like their sushi and udon here. The only thing we tried and didn't like was the octopus salad. Try to come when they first open and avoid busy lunch or dinner so you don't have to wait.

Furusato Sushi is awesome! The ingredients are very fresh, you feel the professionalism of sushi chefs and the high quality of service. We ordered Waikiki Bridge, and it was enough for two people. We liked all items in the sushi set, the dinner was very enjoyable! Plum wine was so sweet and tasty, and for sake lovers there is a small sake set with three different drinks. I definitely recommend to visit this adorable sushi restaurant!

Our first stop when we got to Hawai’i. It’s a small restaurant but has great food and flavors. They follow strict COVID guidelines. Location wise is perfect just across the beach. Service was a lil slow and the price was OK.

Sushi was fresh BUT the slices were VERY THIN. ( this store is in the center of Waikiki on the ground floor .. rental must be high….hence …) Unagi is very very good quality BUT please note that the rice they used is NOT Japanese rice. See photos. We ordered 2 dons and a sushi row. Rice came to us Cold as well… which should not be. These are the reasons they are getting 3 stars because rice is a very important component in a good sushi experience.

This restaurant is definitely one of the best places in Honolulu to get some authentic and tasty Japanese food. Based on my experience, most americanized Japanese restaurants don't serve Hiyayakko, the cold tofu with kezuribushi. However, this restaurant has it and cooks it well. The mini tempura soba is *astonishing*. The soba is al dente, and the flavor is very delicate and deep. Needless to say the shrimp tempura is delicious. The dragon roll is also excellent. No wonder why there are always people line up at the front door.

We tried this sushi restaurant due to the many positive reviews on Google maps. The place was packed at 5 pm and we had to wait 10 minutes for a table. We only had a light dinner: tuna poke don, Aloha don, and a glass of plum wine. The poke rice was a bit salty (slightly too much sauce), and the inexpensive plum wine was quaffable but lacked complexity. Overall, everything was pretty good. Total before tip was $57.07.

We went here without even checking the reviews and man we chose right! Sushi rolls were veeery good, served super fast, and spicy garlic edamame was the best edamame we've ever had. I am really struggling with the review here because it's not a "classy, elegant 5 star restaurant", but I honestly cannot give it less than 5 stars - the food speaks for itself.

Very fresh fish. Portions are generous too for the price. Waitress was efficient and friendly. Not a tourist trap. Definitely a nice sushi spot near the beach with affordable menu.

Great sushi place in a highly touristy area. Everything tasted delicious. Great sake options to along with the meal. The Waikiki bridge is a great option and definitely plenty for two people. Great option for a nice dinner. It’s a small place so reservations are probably a better option, although we put our name down on the list and waited for about 45 min on a busy Tuesday.

I wish I had found this place earlier in my trip. The sushi tastes absolutely fresh and it is delicious. The customer service is great!! It is a very busy place, so wait times can be longer than expected. Even sitting at the bar, the wait time for your food seems a little long, but the food quality compensates for that. Affordable and in a great spot, right in front of the beach. COME GET SOME GOOD SUSHI!!

My husband and I came here Tuesday evening for dinner. It was pretty busy, but we were seated roughly 30 min after we placed our name down. The sushi was delicious/fresh and the whole staff was so welcoming and kind. The location is great; it is just across the beach which was a bonus. Definitely recommended!

A small and straight forward menu but I would have to argue that this is the best sushi in Waikiki Beach. We ordered the sushi bridge and it was plentiful and each sushi was so delicious and fresh. Waited approximately 20-25 min as the restaurant itself was small but definitely worth the wait with such friendly staff!

Even-though it took me 30 min to get my order of Sashimi and one roll. The fish and the taste of the roll was incredible. It was really worth the wait.

Walked past this place too many times during our stay in Waikiki, went there on our last night of our honeymoon. Had to wait approx 15-20 mins to be seated, which was expected as it’s a popular place but limited seating and tables. Suggest to book a time if you don’t like waiting. Service was friendly and food came out in good time. It was all very well made and presented, and tasted great. Would suggest to offer other wine options on the menu as the Chardonnay I ordered was disgusting. I love my wine and would never leave a glass of wine unfinished but I could only drink a few sips which was disappointing. Cost of food is pricey but it’s on par for what you expect to pay in Waikiki. Nice atmosphere in which you can watch the chefs prepare your food if you were sitting at the sushi bar. Overall nice place if you’re looking for a pricey but good sushi dinner.

There’s usually a wait list. Get in line and fill out your name and party size on the clipboard. They’ll call you when your table is ready. We were seated at the sushi bar which is always fun. Nice cold glass of Asahi on tap and a Seafood Salad to start, which was a mixed green salad topped with slices of salmon, tuna, avocado with a sesame dressing. Fantastic! The salad was generous, enough for two people to split as an appetizer or for 1 person to have as an entree. We ordered The Diamond Head and Shrimp Tempura rolls, along with an assortment of nigiri. Proper nigiri has a little swipe of wasabi in it but they do ask you if you want the chefs to omit it for anyone who doesn’t like it. Service was prompt and friendly.

8pm on a Tuesday night. Very busy, but they have a great system to seat and serve people without rushing you. The sushi was great. We had the Waikiki bridge and the diamond head roll. It was very good. The wait staff was very courteous and attentive and the prices were exactly what I’d expect for 2 people. I’ll definitely go back, thanks for a great sushi experience.

A very good sushi spot along Waikiki's main road. This place is small with a wait to get in, but it is worth it. Fish is very fresh. More traditional sushi and this allows the fish to stand out. Definitely worth the visit!
