The entrance to this place really sets up the interior with the stunning staircase and high ceiling. The outside view is great and it perfect at sunset. The food is delicious, with a great seafood selection that comes out perfect. They also have a great drink and wine selection. The service here is very good, they are eager to help. Would recommend eating here before the sun goes down. The sunset view is great for pictures.

Such a classy place! The service was spot on and the food was delicious. It is on the expensive side, but totally worth it. I got the NY strip and the honey lemon tart. Both had great flavor. We also got the scallops appetizer and they were so yummy. The view of the ocean is beautiful and the building itself is pretty. We went for a birthday and they gave us a cute plate with a message in chocolate. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for great seafood and drinks!!

Superb. The food was excellent and the views are amazing. Absolutely beautiful interior which provides guests with a feeling of nobility. Staff was excellent and the food equal to their skill. Wonderful evening all around. So far the best dining experience I've had in Waikiki. Outstanding.

Perfect special occasion restaurant. I was over the moon during my time here. The tables on the patio are overlooking the ocean and it’s beautiful for the sunset. Our servers were attentive and they all seem to work in pairs. The next table was offered the special while we weren’t but it didn’t sound good anyway. The bathrooms were clean. If it’s your anniversary or birthday they will provide a slice of cake on the house. The prices are that of a fine dining restaurant. I didn’t enjoy the fresh catch but the Granchio Pasta is a dish that I would want to find at every restaurant I went to. It was delicious and the scallops it contained are bigger and better than the scallops appetizer. I am forever thankful to Anjela and Karen who were our servers for the night.

We want here for our wedding dinner and absolutely stunning. We love the service. They pulled my chair out for me and put my napkin in my lap. Definitely top tier. They gave me a free drink because we had just gotten married 30 minutes before and they definitely informed us about the location and origination of all of our alcohol. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding night. I did the crab stuffed lobster and my partner did the tasting menu with the premium wine pairing. We ordered some castelli's to go and I have never been so happy in my entire life.

It lives up to the hype! Get in there! You may feel under-dressed if you don't show up clad to the 9s, but the food here is absolutely divine and not at all over-priced for the quality presented. I've never seen a place dripping with elegant presentation that actually lives up to its "hype level" as much as this place DID. Everyone from friends to Uber drivers recommends you get here and try the food, especially brunch. Well whether it's dinner or brunch, service is attentive and the food is absolutely delicious. Their butter is I would say a step below Michelin star, but it's so famous they let you specifically order JUST the butter as a take-away item with your food? Bizarre. Anyway, the pastries are probably top 10 I've had in the past few years and were made with absolute precision, quality, and care. The ingredients for everything are fresh and succulent and seafood certainly delights here, as it's literally on the water. The view is splendid, and it's relatively quiet both indoors and out. I would say overall the surrounding area is not that interesting and it's quite industrial; you won't be taking a casual walk around, but it doesn't matter - focus on the restaurant and really enjoy. Parking situation isn't difficult, and the service from door to table back to door is just splendid. Both locals and tourists know this place is the real deal. :) High marks from us. The service and food were very good! My favorite thing about 53 by The Sea is their dessert. We always order a bunch of dessert to share so we can taste a bit of everything. The fries and salmon were so good. But I would not order the poke again. You can easily get way better poke for cheaper on island.

Perched at water's edge with a million-dollar view of Diamond Head and Waikiki’s skyline, 53 by the Sea has the perfecting setting to a one of the best fine dining experiences in Oahu. As you enter, you’re swept away by a grand staircase and marble floors that lead you to sweeping views of the Pacific’s crystal waters until you get swept by the amazing food as well. Although your wallet might try to stop you, every item on their menu is worth trying. We started with the Lobster Bisque and French Onion Soup, both of which were some of the best of their kind we have had. Their texture was perfect and the ingredients mixed quite tastefully. I then moved into the Pan Roasted New Zealand King Salmon. This salmon was exquisite as well with a great combination of flavors to accompany the high-quality salmon. Last but not least for the savory foods was the Pan Roasted Filet Mignon. This very tasty cut of steak was done quite well too, cooked to perfection and given some extra taste by the appropriate accompanying plate offerings. Last but not least, three wonderful desserts that were all wonderful in their own right and ended a night of great food quite well. The last highlight of the evening (but not the least important one) was the service. It was wonderful from start to finish, from the hostess to the water service. Every single member of 53’s team made the experience unforgettable. If you are in Honolulu and are looking for a place (almost a palace in this case) to celebrate a special night, 53 by the Sea is the right place to be.

If you’re in the market for a fine dining experience with a beautiful view, look no further! 53 by the sea is by far the best dining experience me and my significant other have ever had. Not only is the food delicious, but the service is by far top notch! Not to mention the view that goes with it; it is breathtakingly beautiful! We have been here 3 times already (brunch twice, dinner once) and we will definitely be back. You don’t want to miss this spot on your Hawaii vacation.

ROMANTIC.... CLASSY... RELAXING... LOVE THE STAFF, FOOD, AND VIEW. Only thing is I wish they had more security around vehicles. ....and I wish Democrats would stop allowing so many Homeless people to camp and pollute that area!

Wonderful service and impeccable food. Random note: the area the restaurant is located at has a lot of cats around the area. But the views are lovely, especially at night and everyone was friendly. The drinks are good. I honestly zoned out eating everything because it was so delicious. Thank you for the wonderful engagement dinner!

Dined here for our 1 year wedding anniversary and could not have been more pleased. A romantic atmosphere (we dined on the patio but dining room equaled in ambience) The service was so hospitable and respectful of our conversation when approaching the table (huge plus in my book!) They also don't rush you through service. We considered the food to be better described as art. Absolutely delicious. It's on the high end for price but considering the freshness of ingredients and thought put into each dish, I considered the cost to be a bargain... Wish I had more hands so I could give this 4 thumbs up! We will definitely be back and tell anyone visiting this is a must for romantic dinners.

I went here for my husband’s birthday and our honeymoon. It was a fantastic experience from the start. The people really made the difference, but the food and the view were also fantastic. They surprised us with a birthday cake at the end. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely gorgeous brunch spot. The food was elevated (but not pretentious) and filling (but didn't make you bloated). I thoroughly enjoyed the ube cocktail and breakfast sandwich. The spicy ketchup (which we were told is made in-house) was incredible. Top it off with gorgeous views and great service - this place is a hit when you're on your Hawaiian vacation or just having a special moment.

Hands down the best meal I've ever had. Me and my husband spent our 10 yr anniversary here tonight and the food and service was beyond our expectations. The staff was so nice! The hostess even offered to take our photo before we sat down to eat and suggested where to take the picture etc. I must've thanked the staff a million times tonight. They also gave us a free adorable dessert for our anniversary. The prices reflect the quality of the food and service. I can't get over how amazing it was, I'll be daydreaming about this experience probably for forever 😂 absolutely amazing. They really made our anniversary special!

We had our eye on this place for quite some time. It was our one year wedding anniversary so we thought this was the best time to pamper ourselves. They had a preselect menu but my partner has an affinity for paring items on the menu with the available wines. The four course meal was more than enough. Every pairing we had was simply divine. The service was great, our waiter had amazing suggestion while we were building our experience. We chose sunset time for our dinner experience and the color changes did not disappoint. It's one of those experiences I wish I could have weekly.

The view is gorgeous! We were there for sunset. The service was impeccable. The real disappointment was the food. We got two seafood starters, two seafood entrees, the whole lobster and filet mignon. The only dishes we really enjoyed were the oysters and the scallops appetizer. The entrees were either flavorless or just kind of gross. Out of the two seafood entrees, one of them had a good sauce but that’s about all they had going for them. The filet mignon was cooked fine but just… no flavor. The whole lobster was flavorless and the stuffed crabbed in it was spongey and yucky! We left having really enjoyed the view and service but severely disappointed by the lack of food quality. For one thousand times better food quality at a similar price point, we recommend La Vie. It is a different type of city view but you will leave having loved your experience instead of feeling let down by the yuck food.

Love this venue for brunch. The menu is not overwhelming and has a good selection. The view of the water is refreshing. The service is also superb. I’ve been here twice for brunch and both times we received consistently awesome service. I heard this resto is also amazing for dinner especially during sunset and dusk. I can’t wait to eat here for dinner.

Phenomenal dining experience. We needed a break from the typical island vibe and were hoping for an upscale night out with a different menu and we got just what we hoped for. Highly recommend the poached pear salad to start and dessert sampler and Earl grey tea to end. Great parking and superb service. Definitely worth the drive and every penny.

We received a gift card for 53 by the sea at our wedding and are glad we had a chance to enjoy a meal here on our honeymoon. The location is beautiful, the views are spectacular and the food tastes good. My husband and I had macadamia crusted shrimp for an app, which had good flavors and came with a sweet sauce. For entree, my husband had a Cioppino which was delicious and I had pan seared Ahi steak. The fish itself was delicious but the sauce again was sweet like the appetizer. I would have preferred a more savory tasting entree. The service was good and our dessert was excellent. They even brought us a complimentary happy honeymoon cake, which was really sweet of them. I would definitely recommend 53 by the sea for your next meal.

Me and my wife went for my birthday. The place had a great view and great service! The food was amazing as well and they had a decent selection of wine. They even brought out a piece of cake for my birthday, would much rather go here than mortons, it's the same but they do EVERYTHING better! Will definitely be coming back!

53 By The Sea is one of our favorite restaurants in Honolulu. We've dined there several times (4 times to be exact! ;)). Atmosphere, grand staircase by the entrance, service, professional/attentive/accommodating staff, sofa seating for dining, views, food and drinks - everything is impeccable! We always have a great dining experience whenever we visit this restaurant. Highly recommended.

Just an amazing ambiance, a class in its own. We started off with oysters, by far the best seasoned oysters I've had before. Next was the entree we all order the shrimp and grits, it was great but the grits was on the thicker grain, but still delicious . The butter they have is strawberry flavored and is simply amazing. For dessert was their cheesecake I believe I can't call it but it was good. Can't complain, friends and wife loved it there and you will too. If you want to test someone special out this is the place for it. They have great seating options indoor and outdoor, the outdoor option is right next to the water.

Wow!!! We visited last night for a special honeymoon dinner and were blown away by the service and food!!! This is hands down the best dinner we've ever had! Definitely eat outside and get one of the tasting menu options with the wine pairing. Thank you for a phenomenal experience that we will never forget!!!
