    Due to COVID - I had to cancel my trip to Hawaii. I had reached out thru email, phone and text and the company stopped responding to me after the first of two attempts. In total I spent over a year reaching out to company 10+ times. I had begun to lose hope in receiving a refund or even rescheduling but I had found the Department of Commerce and Consumers affairs (DCCA) of Hawaii. I reached out to the DCCA and they were able to help me and contact the company on my behalf. I was able to finally able to receive a refund. It is a shame when a customer has to rely on government intervention for assistance. Please avoid and beware when booking with this company. This whole process took my months to resolve. In response to the company's message - there was no attempts made to contact me in regards to getting my mailing address. In fact, I had sent multiple texts, phone calls and emails and never received a response. The only reason I received a refund was due to the intervention of the DCCA. I have receipts of all my correspondence and can prove that no one from your company ever reached out. Please do no lead other customers astray with your false allegations. I am simply trying to assist others who are having difficulty reaching your company just as I did.

    This company is a scam I purchased 3 Jurassic Jungle Expeditions for Kualoa Ranch when I arrived at the Ranch they told me there is No Jurassic Jungle Expedition so I called Best of Hawaii Tours and spoke with Aiden and he said it's not completely wrong as my tour will pass by the set I told him that's not what I paid for and he said there's nothing he can do because Kualoa is sold out when I asked for the manager he said it was a person named Mor who doesn't take calls. Do not book or buy from Best of Hawaii they are scammers!!

    Scam . the refused to refund my 1800 after my trip was cancelled due to covid last fall. I called repeatedly for approx 10 weeks and finally they stopped talking to me. I got my money back when I filled a frad complain with my card holder (visa) use there own policy against them .

    Before my current experience, I would have given 5 stars. Best of Hawaii has a full refund policy. Because of coronavirus travel restrictions, my groups vacation has been canceled. I have literally called Best of Hawaii over 100 times, left voice messages and sent emails to cancel my reservations of nearly $5000. They have not replied to my emails or returned my calls.

    It sounds like we all are getting the run. After a month of no response I called my credit card company and told them that Best of Hawaii is bankrupt. Interesting that only a couple hours later I received a call from B of H saying that I will receive my refund within 25 business days. It is now 3 months later and nothing. I’m going to call the credit card company again.

    We booked a Luau with this company back in April and the show was canceled due to weather. I contacted them multiple times about the refund telling us that they are "working on it." We are in August and still waiting for the refund. I understand that things happen and we was trying to be understanding, but this is way to long for a refund. We will not be using this company again for our future trips to Hawaii or recommend them to anyone. I gave them one start because they answer the phone every time we called.

    We originally decided to go with a company (Best of Hawaii-BOW) to lessen the stress and have expert local advice. I was really impressed with the initial suggestions and how I presumed the agent was on top of making any necessary preparations. However, I was really concerned with both initial tours that we selected were cancelled and we were then forced to choose whatever available as we neared our departure date (still paid for the original more expensive tours without any discount or refund). That said, what we ended up doing was really fun and the first day was planned out beautifully. Sadly our second excursion was not even booked by BOW leaving me to scramble and pay for the tour again. BTW-Roberts Hawai’i telephone agents were extremely rude and not familiarized with pick up locations of their own tours. The tour guide David was spectacular from Kona, I would solely recommend them only for David. I did call BOW but couldn’t reach them at the time until after having to sort it out myself with Roberts Hawaii...BOW also booked the flights back to Oahu too early resulting in another $100 flight change All in all I found the agent in particular from BOW pleasant to deal with although I am left feeling completely taken advantage of. Having asked several times for a clear statement of charges (still not received) and also left with 4 flight change charges and a tearful morning of stress that all could have been avoided should BOW have been more thorough with the necessary preparations. It was also misleading having directly asked how BOW they make revenue - It was clearly stated on the phone that “they only make money through their preferred vendors (not patrons)”; having to have to pay for a tour last minute myself I noticed everything is substantially marked up through them. Anyone travelling to Hawaii for the first time I would recommend: 1. Limiting your time in Waikiki for a more authentic experience. 2. Book your tours yourself - it’s an amazing place, rent a car and have data on your phone...that’s all you need. Doing so, you’ll have a blast and rest assured everything will be taken care of and you’ll be paying a reasonable amount for the right tour.

    I was lied to about skydiving availability. I booked skydiving and then I received a phone call. I was told that skydiving is not available at that location. I asked if skydiving is available in different locations in Maui. The person who was calling me said that skydiving in whole Maui is not available at all and I can't book it anywhere. I booked it through different website and everything was ok. Why lie?

    We had a great experience with Best of Hawaii Tours. Booking was quick and easy. Carlos helped 2 indecisive girls find other tours and activities that were in our price range. We will definately book another tour with them in the future. The best experience we had was the North Shore shark cage diving, our driver Gabriel was super cool and explained everything to us before we got to our destination! Thanks for great service!

    Ordered lei greetings for my entire family. They were no where to be found upon arrival. I contacted them multiple times while we were on Kauai and they said that they would refund our money. It has been 6 months since our vacation and still have not received a refund. They have stopped responding. What a waste of $263. Will not ever use this company again, and I would not recommend them to anyone. I would give them zero stars, but it will not let me. Order# R120NH7

    Best of Hawaii made my family's first vacation to Hawaii a breeze to plan! They helped me pick all the activities we wanted and the best times to schedule them, and even checked on us when we arrived to make sure everything was ok! I'm definitely recommending everyone to book with these guys, they get an A+

    I have been to Hawaii many times and few companies showed as much care about my experience on the islands as Best of Hawaii. They helped me plan my activities that fit my diverse family and were very helpful when we had to reschedule our booking. I would recommend them to anyone going to Hawaii!

    Back in April 2020 we booked a 3 persons for the Kualoa Ranch - Two-Hour Raptor Tour. Due to the pandemic outbreak, we had to cancel our trip and had the booking cancelled and confirmation email was sent that they "refunded" the booking cost that was over $400 US. However, no money was refunded. Numerous attempts were made by email and phone calls to the company to get my money back, but they never replied or answered their phone calls. Still to this day I have yet to receive my money back! Don't trust this company and take your business elsewhere! If management is reading this, please respond to my email.

    4 stars for the reservation process (had to call hotline to get more detailed package info vs. having complete updates online); and thus had to also e-sign the credit card transaction doc because credit card info was given over phone as opposed to directly entered through an online transaction. Eva though was very helpful in emailing details and promptly finalizing transactions once my family decided on the 2.5-hour Guided Popoi'a Island Kayak Tour. Waivers are conveniently signed in advance online, and the day prior confirmation call was appreciated. About the actual day, 5 stars for the day-of tour guide Jarrod and the ease the package provided! Lunch, snack, water, kayak gear including life vests and dry bags as well as snorkel gear all included. Just arrive in swimsuit and water shoes! Shower also onsite for rinse after getting back from beach. Upon arrival, welcoming staff guided us to the waiting area where Jarrod introduced himself, fitted us to the different gear, and walked us through the day's plan while also gauging our interests and experience. He loaded the truck with equipment, drove us out to the beach park, and we followed his instructions to get out to the waters. Poor brother had to eventually kayak-tow us out past the beach currents because of the challenging weather, then gave us a walking tour of the small island. We enjoyed lunch, tidepools, and a bit of snorkeling, then kayaked back with the help of the waves this time. Jarrod, thanks for your patience and flexibility, and looking out for us! My aunt loved her first time kayaking!

    Booking for our upcoming honeymoon, we were in great hands with Carlos. He was absolutely sensational. Beyond helpful. Very friendly. Very knowledgeable. Stress free. Good pricing. Had our best interests in mind. Cannot fault him or his high level of customer service. We're looking forward to it :)

    Definitely will be using Best Of Hawaii again. Abraham was my go to guy throughout my entire trip in Hawaii. He would go out of his way to make sure all my needs were met. I had two of my buddies that decided to show up last minute and he was able to add them into my activities without a problem and with a positive attitude, which made my entire experience much smoother and enjoyable.

    Abraham was amazing - he went above and beyond in helping me book my activity. Initially, he had contacted me when there were no availabilities for a package ATV and zip line. We booked the zip line and to my surprise he contacted me a couple of weeks later to try to coordinate the package! I was super excited and appreciated Abraham’s tenacity and desire to ensure that I had the best time on the island. I will update this review once I do the zip line/ATV tomorrow 🤗

    We booked a 7am Kayak tour with best of Hawaii about 2 months before our trip to Maui. We got up at 5am to drive an hour across the island only to find out that Best of Hawaii never booked our tour. This was a highlight of the trip that we were looking forward to and were extremely disappointed to find out we didn’t have a reservation and wasted our time. We got no communication from them after we booked the reservation that said they were unable to complete the booking and when I called to follow up they said they no longer are working with that vendor even though they are still listed on the website. I’m frustrated with the lack of communication from Best of Maui and that their response to me was that they haven’t updated their website to include companies they are still working with. DO NOT use Best of Maui for any booking any tours.
