Extremely close to airport, free airport shuttle that arrived immediately, wonderfully friendly staff. The sunrise view from my room was amazing! I also happen to love looking out over the airport. There was surprisingly little noise as well. Very convenient for business or military travelers and the prices here are reasonable. If you wanted to save dollars for excursions and don’t mind driving to the beach, this hotel could be a great place to call home during your trip to Hawaii. They have an outdoor pool, breakfast and EV charging in the garage. The hotel is not a new property but my room was clean and well appointed, and very spacious. I was also really impressed by the solar panel array. This is a great value for the price!

This is an older, well cared for location. The beds are only full sized, so very small for a couple, but comfortable. The dining area is clean and well laid out. They have a new and separate barista type coffee shop in the hotel that says it is about to have its grand opening. This location has several restaurants within walking distance, which is really helpful. The rooms have small refrigerators. There is quite a bit of road noise, so bring your ear plugs. It us outrageously expensive for what you get, in my opinion, after 27 countries worth of travel. Go to Thailand or Vietnam for affordable and amazing water vacations and skip Hawaii.

I will start off by saying that the location is convenient and the facilities were very clean. However, the hotel staff at the front desk seemed to be very i knowledgeable about most inquiries we had, and were rude on a few occasions. One one occasion I had housekeeping trying to clean the room at midnight while I was sleeping. On another occasion we had a phone call on the provided room phone at 11:30 PM asking if room service could enter the room to complete a cleaning they had not completed earlier that day, again while sleeping. On both occasions, my dog was startled in her sleep and began protectively barking at the door, startling my pregnant wife. The location is excessively loud from outside noise, being located directly adjacent to H1 and Nimitz highway underpass. I was woken up most nights by loud vehicle exhaust noises. I would strongly not recommend this hotel to those looking for a quiet and friendly hotel.

I would not choose to stay in this hotel again. The one nice thing was it was convenient to the airport. When we checked in we were told it was $40 for parking. Which I still can't find that info on their website. I don't mind paying for parking but that is ridiculous. The location of our room was awful. Right on the freeway and it was so loud all night. The doors must not have any soundproofing in them. I think I would have slept just as well on the airport chairs. If you want any sleep make sure to ask for a room not by the road.

Great team of people who will make your stay comfortable. From check-in to check-out it was a wonderful experience. Special mention, Raymart at the front desk was very helpful and really went the extra for us.

This is a good deal with the expectation from a 2-star hotel in Honolulu, HI, and is comparable with a 3-star hotel. I'm okay with staying here again in the future: breakfast is good (complimentary), housekeeping is good and very friendly/courteous, has parking for a vehicle. Wifi was strong in room, lobby, and restaurant area and a respectable speed for free service. Hotel is next to Nimitz Highway and the H1, so there may be traffic noise depending on the room assigned. Downtown is only a few minutes/miles away (traffic dependent), as is Pearl Harbor. If you're looking for beach front, this isn't the place.

Friendly and helpful staff. Limited parking for check-in, but lenient use for the 15-minute parking for check-in. Free parking, breakfast, and shuttle to/from the airport for hotel guests. I booked two rooms with double beds, and both rooms were comfortable and quiet. Bathrooms are acceptable with a hair dryer. Roll in handicap showers also available upon request based on availability. Walking distance to food areas but no restaurant on site. Great location for an airport overnight. It's a little bit on the pricey side, but it's worth it if you want a quiet, nice, restful place. This place is far from the beaches. There may be cheaper lodgings closer to the beach if that's your travel purpose.

This hotel is great if you want to stay near the airport. It's close to car rentals, an Aloha Mart, a McDonald's and is walking distance from the airport. The lobby and rooms are nice, and they give you a nice little breakfast with coffee in the morning. The room we were in was on the 12th floor and had a nice view in the direction of Waikiki. We all had an awesome time on our vacation! Hawaii is so beautiful!

Staffs are super nice ! Nice location and after returning a car , I can walk to the hotel by 15 minutes. Breakfast was not too bad . Free shuttle from airport!! There was a short story happening when I check in. At the beginning, they arranged a room to us which was same with the picture what I saw in the website, but was not in the main building . Old equipment, smell so terrible, close the freeway…. I tried to talk to the front desk , what happened and I need to switch a room . Rose was so nice to help me to resolve it and she talked to me it was chosen by myself. Actually, I do not have any idea…. Finally, I paid extra $15 each night to change a room ( same I saw in the website but in the main building) It was my third time to book hotel from Best Western!

Had initial reservations after reading earlier reviews about the din from the highway. But ended up staying in a high rise complex which was totally insulated from the traffic. Stay was peaceful and comfortable throughout. Facilities were new, and everything worked. Buffet service available and there was a variety to choose from. Location was absolutely convenient. Very close to the airport, but navigating on the freeways takes awhile if you're not from the United States. Equally near (or far) to all attractions. Not much food options around here though.

Like many this holiday season, my family of seven got stranded in Honolulu due to a cancelled flight along with hundreds of other people trying to get back to the Pacific Northwest. We quickly booked a hotel because many of them were full already and we were traveling with my very elderly grandparents so sleeping in the airport wasn’t an option. The front desk staff were amazing. Very friendly and cooperative and helpful at the end of our 7+ hour day at the airport (waiting in lines with customer service to get a flight four days later). The rooms were clean and nice, and housekeeping was very good. The hotel itself is very safe, even tho the location is not the greatest, but it was convenient due to its proximity to the airport. The shuttle service itself was great. The only reason I removed one star is because when we called the shuttle service there was a miscommunication on where to meet for the shuttle over the phone. No one in our party of seven had ever been to the Honolulu airport and it can be quite confusing. Two phone calls later and the person on the other end begins yelling at my younger sister on the phone, sending her into tears. I pick up the phone and begin by nicely explaining where we are and asking her if she could re-explain where we are supposed to go, the instructions were incredibly confusing and after being on the phone with the service person for less then thirty seconds she begins raising her voice again at me, and ultimately hanging up. Other than that miscommunication, our stay was great. The complimentary breakfast is good, and the rest of the staff are very friendly.

The property is decent. It's clean and reasonably well maintained. Where this Best Western shines is the people. The staff is amazing. I was impressed with their professionalism in dealing with Hawaii's shifting COVID requirements and managing guest meltdowns over providing vaccination cards and ID at breakfast. I was at this hotel for about 6 weeks, and had lots of opportunity to interact with front desk, housekeeping and others. They were consistently excellent, professional, polite and not infrequently went out of their way to do little extras for guests. The hotel isn't going to be where you dream of staying for your vacation getaway to paradise, but it's a good, reasonable option for people coming to visit family, on business and for those who only use a hotel for sleep and showers.

Great location if you need to stay close to the airport. Bus stops right out side and it is only a 25 min ride to china town. A bit dated but comfortable. Street noise was a bit much on the 7th level due to raised up freeway at the same height.

If you have a choice, stay somewhere else. Upon entering my room, I was greeted with pee on the toilet seat. This was a good indication of how my overall experience at this hotel would be. The hotel rooms haven't been updated since probably the 80s. The bed is hard and uncomfortable with flat pillows. The windows are very thin so you can hear just about every car on the multiple roads outside making sleep elusive. The shower had two options: hot or cold. While showering, it would alternate between the two making it a fun shower experience. The included breakfast was minimal and not appetizing. They offered pre-microwaved Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches that were cold and inedible. More than half the guests were military so it appears the hotel just takes advantage of their lack of options and could care less about the experience of their guests. The front desk staff was friendly and I never had a bad experience with the employees of the hotel.

Good spot to stay and super convenient to the airport. Our room had a decent view of downtown Honolulu as well, including kind of a funny mural depicting diamond head on the side of a building that was blocking it. The cafe was also great. We showed up right as they were about to close, but the guy behind the counter graciously allowed us to get a desperately needed coffee. Only issues are just with the location. While it’s super convenient to the airport, the nearby highway is loud and can interfere with sleep. That’s all I have an issue with though. The WiFi is fast, the staff is kind. We left too early to avail ourselves of the free breakfast. The airport shuttle was super convenient. I’d stay here again next time I need something close to the airport.

For any military family or someone familiar with Oahu, the location is close to the airport, navy exchange for groceries, gas station, Pearl Harbor, Aloha stadium, Trippler hospital, & easy access to roads. It has a nice outdoor pool, security parking, & breakfast daily. Our housekeeper was excellent & friendly. Second time we stayed with Best Western & a preferred longer stay after a few days at Waikiki or resort where traffic is crazy and over crowded with tourists. They have a airport shuttle every hour & just a relaxed experience. Highly recommend spot.

This is a perfect place if you’re catching an early flight or perhaps a cruise. So conveniently located near the airport and has a free airport shuttle. Front desk staff were so helpful and accommodating. Rooms are clean, and the tv has chromecast.

Old hotel! But the rooms are clean and beds are hard. Bathrooms are ok. We have stayed here a few times when we transit Hawaii. It is located adjacent to the elevated freeway. The resturant has limited hours. No convenient market, only a coffee shop with also, limited hours. If you expect something great, it is not there! If you need a place to crash, then it works out as a hotel that you can sleep before you move on.

Staff were great. Our plane was canceled so we booked last minute and they were wonderful. Hot breakfast in the morning was limited but good. Rooms were extremely clean and well maintained. I would definitely stay again.

Wonderful place for the price. Breakfast was full and fresh every morning staff was helpful and professional. I would only say they could clean a bit more. It was dusty and there was hair in the bathroom and floors that weren't mine! Hair grosses me out! Otherwise 5star for the price !

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the airport, for a stopover between Melbourne and New York and were very happy with it! We were greeted warmly, advised on where to eat (IHOP down the road was excellent too!), slept well in comfortable beds with blackout curtains and were refreshed for the next part of the journey. Shuttle bus worked seamlessly as well. Thank you all for a wonderful, albeit brief, stay. We swill see you the next time we do that long trip!

Great location for busses, Peal Harbour and airport. Rooms very dated and poor layout,( we were in a room next to the pool). Mcdonalds and gas station are next door. Local restaurants within a short walking distance. The parking rate of $US 40.00 per night however is just gouging the guests imho. Breakfast buffet from 0700-0900 can be very noisy indeed, with guests competing to be the loudest and least in control of their kids. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially the room attendants. My wife is a hotel housekeeping supervisor and she was impressed with their positivity. Overall a positive stay but the parking fees do leave a bad taste. I've stayed at a lot at Best Western hotels, a modernisation of the rooms would be most beneficial to future guests. Ps, there is a microwave, mini fridge and single cup kettle in the room.

Hotel is very close to the airport which is a huge plus. They also have shuttle service and provide a great breakfast each morning, another huge plus. The building however is very dated, bathrooms extremely small and very worn. Also, if you are driving, be prepared to pay 40.00 a day for parking. All in all it was a decent stay for the short period I was there but for a longer stay I would choose a more updated hotel.

Rooms were clean and place was very conveniently located to the airport. Breakfast was better than expected with a parfait machine I've never seen before and more than one waffle maker. I liked how they offered different foods daily and posted the weekly menu. Only disappointment was that the shuttle only goes every hour on the hour so I had to pay $15 for a 3 min taxi ride.

Very convenient for the airport, 5 minutes away, maximum. On-site parking, fee payable but fairly secure. Rooms large comfortable and clean. Self use laundry available. Microwave in room that could be useful if arriving late.

I liked this hotel and choose it only because its close to the airport, they provided shuttle service to the airport, its close to the cruise port and they have breakfast which is already included in the hotel stay. Did not cost extra!!! Which is a plus in my book. It wasn't fancy but it was comfortable and we were only needing a one night stay before heading towards our cruise ship. The breakfast by the way was AWESOME!!! Didn't expect eggs and sausage but WOW! This was the best part! Also they have a computer in the lobby to check emails or whatever you need which was nice to have.

The room was clean and had no smell. We slept well because it was quiet. Location is near restaurants and convenience stores. Housekeeping did a good job and when we needed something they were courteous and attentive. All the staff, especially the receptionists, were very polite, patient and helpful. We enjoyed our 2 week stay.

Great location in-between the airport and the freeway for an overnight stay or the entire vacation. Great price, especially for Oahu and for everything you get. Free breakfast buffet, airport shuttle every hour, large rooms with a fridge, micro wave, TV with chrome cast, gym, parking, and pool. Especially want to thank Les and the entire team for everything they do for the military. When every other hotel we called was full or out of government per diem rooms, they had a liason dedicated to it and went above and beyond. It's also a great location right near Ft Shafter and JBPHH.

Very convenient location in terms of getting to the airport. Called the hotel when I retrieved my luggage and the shuttle came right over. However, the shuttle to the airport is only offered on top of the hour, every hour. I ended up taking a $7 Uber half past 0600. Which was inexpensive & convenient. However, the Shuttle driver was very nice, kind and helpful. Even helped me take my bag upstairs. I was is room 201 in the back of the hotel, no elevator, the carpet had a huge stain, was clean enough for one night, but strange that some trash was left behind.  Odd configuration, large room, dated. For the price of $270 a night with taxes, I expected better. Trash pickup outside around 3am woke me up. Try to avoid the back of the hotel. However, all staff I interacted with was super nice. Inconveniently, free breakfast starts at 7am, I think they could do earlier for an airport hotel. However, a Cafe opens at 6am, has muffins & coffee at cost. There's a gas station walking distance. I didn't go to explore, as I brought my dinner & breakfast with me for convenience. As I was only there from 830pm- 630am. Pool closes at dusk. Room had no USB ports. Wall A/C unit. Bring a wall plug. Overall a basic hotel.

This hotel had decent reviews on Expedia and was close to the airport so we booked it for the night before our early morning flight home from Honolulu. We were EXTREMELY disappointed with this hotel. We called in advance to inquire about bell services as we were traveling with a small child and had multiple bags. We were told they had them but when we arrived, the staff acted as though they didn't understand and when we explained we needed help with our bags they finally told us the shuttle driver would be back in 15 minutes. We were checking IN not out/ going to airport. As it was 11pm and we had a small child, we couldn't wait. The shuttle driver DID arrive while we were unloading and we were asked to move our vehicle because APPARENTLY the Circle drive in front of their door (where most places have unloading of luggage) is reserved for their shuttle. This was EXTREMELY inconvenient as there is not other place to unload as you are in a city area. We also had to park about a block away as our normal height rental SUV was too tall for their parking garage. The staff were rude and seemed apathetic. The room situation was even worse. The bathroom was gross with stains in the bottom of the tub. The walls were thin and you hear everything but inside and outside the hotel. I expect a hotel near the air to be noisier but this was extreme. The whole place gave the vibe that it was seedy. Not at ALL what I would expect for $200/night. We only stayed because it was super late and we had an early flight the next morning so we were there for like 4-5 hours. I would NOT recommend this hotel.

After staying here a month, the Breakfast and Coffee bar was the best offering. It's frustrating the wait staff for the hotel use the same elevator you do. (No service) elevator. Hotel works in a pinch, if you need cost effective...and NOT on the beach.

I was charged 688$ to my card when it was only to be used for incidentals and I was there for one day. I still have not received a return on my card... Check your card a day after because the charge wasn't made with my consent. I was in another country when I was notified of what they did... Several other crew members where charged the 50$ and nothing was left wrong with the rooms..

Beds are terrible and pillows are worse. Single pane windows so you hear all the road noise all night. Only thing decent was the complimentary breakfast. One of the most rundown Best Westerns I've ever stayed at. Would not recommend.

You get what you pay for at this location. The overall was okay. Good location, but beds, shower heads and phones could use replacing. One thing to keep in mind is there are only two elevators that is shared with guest in the main building and staff. There are no service elevators. So, you could be waiting for some time.

It's ok. I used points so no loss, but pics definitely make place look better then it is. Right next to airport and nothing much to do around property. Plus, you get beep, beep, beeping all night and early morning. If you need a place to stay, I guess, but many other better options

Perfect for our move. Very nice and room was clean. Maid service was excellent. Laundry was a little expensive and the restaurant still isn't open so there is ungodly amounts of fast food trash in the hallways since no in hotel dining. Never have I seen that many door dash deliveries or that much trash outside each door.

Stayed July 15-19, Can walk from the airport to hotel, that’s how close it is to hotel. Room was nice and comfortable. Not in a busy area at all, pretty much 20 to 30 minutes away from downtown or other areas of interest, Pearl Harbor, botanical gardens etc, depending on traffic. A nice 5 minute walk to a near by restaurant called Christine’s diner, ihop is also around the corner or McDonald’s. I recommend staying here, no issues at all.

  • 2/5 Morgan L. 2 years ago on Google
We could barely hear the receptionist at the front desk. When we got to the room the road noise was very loud and we decided not to stay. The bed was completely worn out and I would not want to sleep on it. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful.

My work booked this hotel and I had no clue what I was getting into. I have no idea why people are saying "quiet". This hotel is 50 ft away from a highway and it's jet engine loud. The pool closes at 7pm. I have never used it because I get back from work at 7 and they have one picnic bench for the whole hotel. We weren't even allowed to sit at a table in the dining room to eat our own food. The hallways have water soaked carpet and smelled like mildew. The front desk was very disrespectful even though their operation is falling apart. My tub was clogged up with hair and my fire alarm had a dead battery.

Great place to stay. The location is very good. Just off the main motorway, close to Honolulu, the airport is next door. Easy access to anywhere. Plenty of parking. Check in was quick and the staff is friendly. The room is good size, plenty of storage place. Usual amenities of tea and coffee, ironing board, TV, minifridge and microwave. The shower is great with good pressure. Breakfast is OK. Would stay again any time.

I stayed at this hotel for three weeks. Honestly, I am impressed with the condition and maintenance of this hotel. The gym is excellent, and there is an inclusive breakfast every morning. I usually stay at Hilton affiliates to collect my points during business travel, but this hotel was well below my authorized rate and in a convenient location. I always associated the Best Western with declining/low-budget franchises like Red Roof Inn, Motel 8, Budget Inn, etc., but this was an exception.

We stayed here for 6 nights during our visit to Honolulu. The hotel is very close to Honolulu airport. The hotel is also right next to Highway H1, which is helpful while travelling, but the area does not have heavy traffic and is very quiet. There is a McDonalds, Starbucks, and Shell gas station right behind the hotel. The front desk staff was very friendly. Our room was of decent size and looked freshly cleaned and tidy. The bathroom was a little cramped. The biggest issue in our room was plumbing issues in the bathroom. The flush would stop working. The lid inside the tank would not close after use. So, we had to either wiggle the flush handle to get the lid to drop or open the tank and close the lid. One time, it took some time for bathwater to warm up. Hotel policy states that room cleaning is done every 3 days…which we didn’t know while checking in. But we could request extra towels at no charge whenever we needed them. Breakfast is included in the room rate. You get options like cereal, waffles, yogurt, coffee, and juice, along with pre-packed breakfast sandwiches. If you don't like sugar-y breakfast, then this might be a problem. I wish they had sliced bread/ bagels/ toast options as well. The coffee and juice are pretty good. The hotel also does a good job of checking vaccination cards every day when entering their breakfast café. Overall, great location but bathrooms could use some maintenance.

The hotel is ok if you need to stay next to the airport. It's somewhat dated, but the rooms were decent size and at least in our case had a view to the airport. The windows were very dirty though. Also got a surprise charge of $3.66 per room. Not a big deal, but no explanation or receipt were given.

We stayed for new years eve night to avoid the fireworks at our house. Our 2 dogs were much calmer in the pet friendly room than they would have been. There was some road noise, and the distant fireworks were still audible at midnight, but overall a great alternative to drugs! We will book again for next year!

Have used thus hotel on several occasions when we have flown in late. Stay there overnight after 24hrs from London, and drive fresh in the morning. It's a great hotel. Although it's fairly basic it's clean, has lots of car parking, pool, sun deck area, free Breakfast?? And the McDonald’s next door is 24/7. Staff are great and it's a fic Ve min bus ride or 10 min walk from airport.

Hotel staff was friendly and the rooms were nice and well kept. Bathroom was a little small which was annoying but manageable. Free breakfasts were decent, sometimes not so great tasting. However they did their best to provide a variety each day.

Housekeeping is nonexistent. Been here four days and they haven't removed trash, haven't replaced towels, haven't replenished toilet paper, haven't made beds, etc... Cutting back on housekeeping was industry wide and started because of Covid. At the time it seemed appropriate but at this point there is no reason not to provide good service beyond padding the pockets of the owner. This location is not in a very good location unless you want to be close to the airport. Literally in the industrial area next to the airport as well as being on the highway. If you are visiting as a tourist I'd stay closer to Waikiki. I've stayed here several times for work and generally the rooms are clean upon arrival and the facility including the pool is well maintained. The staff are always friendly.

If you are looking to stay near the airport it's a decent place. This place was booked for me by my company so I really don't know the general affordability in comparison to other hotels. This is a pet friendly hotel ( didn't know) decent pool. Rooms were in condition old school air conditioning more loud than cooling. My only gripe is despite requesting my room to be cleaned l, no one ever came to do it. Eating out daily trash can pile up rather quickly. In the end it's a room near the airport food for transition

Came into Honolulu very late and were accommodated immediately as we had a reservation. The room was spotless and had the best bathroom facilities I've seen in years of travel. Shower, drying racks, closet space, and a great morning view even though adjacent the the Nimitz highway.

My stay was excellent at the Best Western Plaza because of a particular staff person named Mena. She mentioned having worked there for over 30 years and that she enjoyed it quite a bit. She was kind, helpful, efficient and welcoming. An issue arose and she resolved it perfectly and immediately. The quality of customer service she demonstrated is rare these days. She made it a perfect stay!

The noisiest hotel I have ever stayed at. I know when you book a hotel neat the airport and right next to a freeway you should expect some noise, however, other hotels I have stayed in near airports have double glazed windows. This hotel is so old it still has those old sliding glass windows with thin glass. No one in our part got any sleep. And the "free" airport transport is misleading as the bus only goes to the airport every hour? And forget about the "free" breakfast, that does not start until 7am, and we had to catch the 6 am bus. I expect much more from a brand like Best Western. Do yourself a favour and catch an Uber into Honolulu if you value sleep

My flight to Honolulu was delayed by 14hrs so when I landed the airport was essentially closed and I missed my connection. Hawaiian put those of us connecting up in this Best Western Plaza Hotel. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating. The room was clean and worked for the 4 hours that I needed it until my early morning flight. Thank You! To the staff and the Shuttle driver who came in early and did a quick run to the airport for those of us who had the very early flight.

It is always a gamble to choose a hotel near the airport. As we were only staying a couple of days we felt this was the best location for us. We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the rooms. Service was above expectations. Parking was a reasonable rate. The breakfast and the pool area were great. We loved being able to walk to restaurants and coffee shops.

Could use a coat of paint and better lighting! We checked into the hotel late at night, and due to the dim yellow lighting and aged paint color, I was left wondering what kind of dive I dragged my family into. Luckily that all turned around in the light of day with the curtains open. The free airport shuttle was very handy, and the included breakfast was quite plentiful with a nice variety of options. The bathroom was very tight, barely having room for the door to swing open.
