My husband and I are visiting Oahu for our 10 year anniversary. While staying at The Royal Hawaiian, we decided to take a stroll to Duke’s Marketplace. We were appalled when the operators of stall #52 (BMJ Collection) refused to serve us. We are “black” Americans and the owner refused to look at us. When we asked to see items on the shelf, he told us to go away and said he was busy, but then helped someone directly behind us. When we asked what the problem was, he then asked us how much money we had to spend; obviously assuming that we didn’t have any money (which is definitely inaccurate). It was obvious at this point that he wanted nothing to do with black people. This owner does not deserve to have this stall if he is going to treat people this way.

GREAT Place to just enjoy the local flavor. A small stall visitors market with local fresh food and a lot of cool items for sale. Tucked between the "Gold Coast" shops so you can actually find something affordable.

This is big place .. it has very nice restaurant, fast food shop , coffee shop and ABC store all in one inside . You will get everything you need here . Pizza at the fast food restaurant was very good. Freshly made and yummy..there are lot of food items you can eat here .. Service is fast . There is not seating place for fast food restaurant , so it's mostly just pick up and eat somewhere else . Restaurant has many seating arrangement. There is a BARGAINING market just behind or I can say other end of the complex. So don't buy any gift or souvenirs from any where , you will get all from this market and you can ask for your price ..:)

A hidden secret in Waikiki! Right across the street from Royal Hawaiian Centre! Much better deals on souvenirs than anywhere else and you can negotiate the prices with the vendors. You can buy everything for half the price than on those ABC stores you can find on any street corner. Highly recommend it!

LOOK FOR STALLS #3, 51, & 60! Very nice people! Stalls that sell trinkets, clothing, souvenirs, and other miscellaneous items that you can barter for cheaper. However, be warned that you could get those exact items at an actual store for much cheaper! A nice place to walk through though.

The market was Monday and Wednesday 4-9 many vendors inside but not local families who hand make items. There was also another alley that had even more vendors set up with one wood worker who did all his own carving, so it was not something made in a wearhouse and shipped over. If you're looking for true locals handmade by the actual person, I was told the big island. Otherwise, the street markets are the next best thing. They had lots of fresh fruits and food!

It is great for tourists in the vacation mindset, and don't mind wasting money. It's just another ABC store in disguise. They are convenient stores, so I understand paying for convenience. I just don't understand why ABC is so convenient that they need 3 stores on one block.

The last remnants of the old International Marketplace and it’s not the great parts. Stop by all the local souvenir shops before you go here because they will charge you quite a bit more on most items. You’ll get better deals if you pay cash but you have to enjoy haggling and actually walk away. A similar statue to one I’d been wanting was at a stall for around $300 when I could buy it at the Polynesian Cultural Center for under $100.

This alley has many stall that sell dress, carving, and jewelery but you have to make a bargain. Some items you could get cheaper at other places.

Duke's Marketplace may or may not be also referred to as Duke's Lane Marketplace so I'm not sure which I'm actually reviewing. I've already done a review of Duke's Lane so please see that if you're interested in a market with a few food vendors inside. This review is of the outside market lined with kiosks. I remember the first time I saw it. It reminded me of Thai & Mexican street vendors who sell souvenirs. For souvenirs this is a great little place. There are lots of cute stands and the prices are negotiable. My daughter bought a dress at one of them and she loves it. I'll post a video the next time I walk through there so follow me if you'd like to see that.

Go here all the time. So much to choose from. You can eat at Spitfire with local dishes and American dishes. You can order Coffee and Tea drinks from the Coffee Bar. They also have Gelatos and Smoothies. Basalt is the fancy sit down dinner spot in Duke's Marketplace and Eatery. You can pick up to go grocery items in the Marketplace area. A lot to choose from and great people who work here.

If you like local flea market tourist booth shopping you will like Duke's Marketplace. You stroll past booth after booth of typical tourist products. If you are looking for up scale designer shopping you should go to other stores in Wakikik. Me, I enjoy talking to the locals and bartering a good price.

Awesome spot for souvenirs and some really good snacks. The shaved ice spot at the end is really good. Don't forget to bring some cash!

Went to OAHU ISLAND WEAR #60 in the alley and got good souvenirs shirts and dresses for people back in Dallas. The owner was super helpful and very sweet. If you buy a lot he will give you a good rate! We ended up buying 12 shirts and dresses from him because it was such a bargain (BETTER DEAL HERE THAN YOUR ABC STORE)! The material of the Hawaiian shirts are soft and nice too. Definitely recommend people going to him.

Juice place at the end charges $10 for pineapple juice. All ice and would not reduce ice. Mostly air. Probably had six sips. There are other places to go that have no air and don't haggle you to death over ice.

Great value place to buy clothing and knick knacks off all kinds. Kinda of like a flea market. Might be the best place to shop in what is otherwise a high rent district.
