How sad! Went to Lancome counter. Three ladies just talking story and not paying attention to customers. What happened to customer service? Maybe I don't look rich enough? Or Is COVID really affecting their sales skills? That's the reason why I don't shop at Macy's. I'm not looking for sales prices just a good friendly customer service! I'll go somewhere else that's willing to assist me! Guess Macy's are doing so well after all!

I like Macy's until I have to go to the cash register to checkout. "Do you have a Macy's Card? No? Would you like to sign up for one? You can save 10%...." blah blah blah. Me: For the 20th time, I'm not interested. Macy's: "Are you sure?" On and on and on. Finally, we get to the purchasing, and it's all "Enter your Phone Number for Rewards!" Me: Cancel. Macy's: "Would you like to donate money to a charity of our choice?" Me: For eff sake, can I just simply buy this item? Can I simply give you money and you give me the item and we both go our ways? Why do I need to be pestered for a stupid Macy's card? Why do I need to be pestered to donate to charity? Why do I need to be pressured for my phone number? The management needs to get a grip. You guys turn a 20 second transaction into a 3 minute fiasco which ends up making me frustrated and vowing to just shop online. You know what? I once had a Macy's Card and received a whole pile of "rewards" points, and then one day I showed up to buy my kid a pile of school clothes, and it was over $350, and guess what? Your useless "rewards" points didn't apply to one item I purchased. I bought Nike, Reebok, etc...."Oh, sorry sir, our points only apply to the worthless "store brand" items that no one wants, not name brand items. Hence, I cancelled my Macy's Card and used your rewards coupons in my bathroom, if you get what I'm saying, where they actually had some value.

Great selection. Wait for a good sale and you can get some awesome deals. Just a little run down in some areas, but clean overall. I miss gazebo. Update 11.2022. There's s toysrus on top floor now which is awesome for families. Mom (or dad) can shop while the kids keep busy. Just leaving without extra purchases is more difficult.

Never been in a Macy's. This one being my first one kinda ruins the rest of them for me. It's huge and very clean. We did alot of shopping here during our vacation.

Tried to buy a dress at Macy's: Asian sales clerk: "Do you have a Macy's account?" me: "No" Sales clerk: "Do you want to open one?" me: "No" Sales clerk: "Are you visiting?" me: "No." Sales clerk: "Do you live here?" me: "Yes" Sales clerk: "Do you want to open an account?" me: "I just want to pay, get a bag and a receipt." Is there something wrong with your AI, Macy's? Please train your sales clerks to not waste customers time.

Nice place to check out clearance prices. I found the exact hat I wanted. Large store. Seemed empty when I had a question.

My brother purchased a blazer for an upcoming Asia and east coast trip. Promised the employee watching us in the mirror that I would not stick a $500 dollar blazer in my CPK pizza box. He has probably seen everything. I ended up finding a better fitting blazer in a more neutral color for $300 and no tailoring needed. Win win. Had a descent sale going on. I found an outfit for a European trip next year that I believe will end up under the tree for my birthday if my brother was paying attention. The gentleman who assisted us was very attentive and walked us through different fits and designers, and checked us out quickly. He was unsure of where to pick up online orders but got us to the correct floor. Easy peasy in and out. The only type of shopping I like.

What a great experience today there at Macy’s This lovely lady Rena who works there was super friendly and helpful. She was very warm and welcoming made our experience 10 times better. Thank you for a great customer service.

I have been shopping here for a very long time. Actually, ever since this location became Macy's. I principally shop for shoes, belts and clothes here. I also buy pots, pans, kitchen gadgets and kitchen electronics (such as Cuisinart products). The prices for all these things is quite competitive and with sales better than anywhere else, to my knowledge. During the holidays I always come here to add to my collection of Christmas decorations. With the closures of Sears and Penny's, Macy's has become the place to go for quality products at reasonable prices at Ala Moana Center. I also come here to shop for presents for almost every occasion. In the past I have purchased jewelry, colognes (of which they still have the largest selection in Honolulu), luggage, gift cards, stationary, etc. etc. Following are some photos. I will share more as I continue to shop here.

You can buy anything here and branded perfumes, clothes and bathroom essentials. Their store in arrange properly and neatly

The thing I like about Macy's, your getting the same quality with very competitive prices I like designer clothing because I know it's going to fit.

Beautiful store with warm, friendly, and helpful sales staff. Clean and bright with tons of space between the clothing racks. Seriously, I wish my Macy's at home was half as nice as this one.

Good sale I was not aware of. Bought two pairs of shorts I really like for 40% off. Good deal! It was very busy and crowded but typical for a Saturday.

Sadly with 2 items to purchase in bedding and men's accessories I left empty handed. Ridiculously overpriced items and awful or non-existent customer service. On my way out I encountered Jason and his asst. at watch and jewelry repair. What a pleasure they addressed my issue courteously and promptly. The charge for the service was very reasonable. I would have clearly paid more simple because of their consummate professionalism. Thank you Jason for saving an otherwise miserable day. There was this girl in the men's fragrances section of Macy's she was very helpful and informative. This is the kind of sales associate that makes my experience a happy one. I also let the manager know about the great service.

Was in Hawaii all of September 2023 went into Mary's to buy shorts the staff were outstanding, very helpful, friendly, polite, great customer service I'll definitely go there again next time

Good department store in the Ala Moana Shopping Center. It carried most of the same fashions, and items, which is available on the mainland stores and it carried some local fashion items. I enjoyed seeing a Liliha Bakery Restaurant within this Macy’s and look forward to returning again soon. I do miss the old Liberty House store but Macy is a good store taking its place at the mall.

I had a phenomenal experience at this Macy's. Two humans, Karin and Sue on the 3rd floor, took it upon themselves to help my wedding day dreams come true. They define excellent customer service and the Hawaiian aloha spirit. Their grace and helpfulness created the best experience I've ever had in any department store.

These 5 stars are specifically for customer sales rep Cora in the Men's Clothing department, who rang up my husband's clothing purchase on the afternoon of 10/9/22. Cora was very pleasant and helpful, going the extra mile to make sure we received the coupon / Star Money discounts we were entitled to -- not always the most straightforward process (likely by corporate design). She saved us almost $40, which in these inflationary times is especially appreciated.

Their jewelry repair is supposed to be open until 7PM but it was closed for someone’s dinner. Not only was it a 45 minute break but they close 1 hour before the rest of Macy’s. This is not against the person working there(kind) but Macy’s management who didn’t find a replacement for him. *Not very nice for people who are wheelchair dependent as well who need to make transportation arrangements to get there.

Love Macys - you always pay less than what it’s marked and you think Like many stores the demand for large sizes is big and stores including macys keep concentrating on smaller size customers . Why not go with the demand and make also us big guys happy .

Awesome customer service on the surface however an obvious security flaw; a three-year-old child just went missing inside of the store for a brief amount of time before his mother found him.. Security had no way of pinging every single employee inside this Macy's No announcement was made over the loudspeaker, not a single employee received a radio notification despite every single employee having an earpiece and a microphone

This store in Ala Moana offers higher end designer clothing. Really like it alot. Other Macy's in other states aren't like this one. Love the higher end designer offerings here.

I already have a Macy's credit card, so why did the sales agent pressure me into getting another one? Now I have two Macy's cards. It doesn't make sense and I didn't appreciate the "pressure". I'm guessing she gets a commission from every new card she issues? I was back on that floor yesterday and when I saw her at the end of the aisle I ran to the nearest exit. Good grief! Update (May 2022): I received notification by mail that my account was approved but that, since I already had a Macy's card, I would not be eligible for this one. I went to the Macy's Customer Service desk (Ala Moana Center, Honolulu) and they (Eva) was polite and helpful. She phoned the credit card company for me and they had me verify that I wanted to cancel this new card (which I may or may not have actually had). Lesson learned: do not let any Macy's Sales Associate pressure you into getting another credit card! And yes, we were told that the person most likely received a commission in the process.

It saves my trip! Was looking for a TSA luggage strap, after shop around at a very limited time, only found these in Macy. The store is big and clean, staffs are friendly.

I love this Macy's store in Ala Moana! I think there's 3 or 4 floors compared to the one I'm used to on Maui. There's so much more selection of everything! There's even a restaurant and bakery on the 3rd floor....awesome!

A real live example of what I was referring to in another comment earlier happen today I said if you shop around you might just run into a good deal, and sure enough I found a pair of pants I like with a retail price of $85.00 but my cost was $ 19.95
