While they will be closed from March to December 2022 it still looks like a great place to compare ordinance from the Pacific campaign. Just looking at the outside exhibit is worth a quick stop.

I was really impressed with this museum and it’s free too! It showcased the US army’s history in Hawaii. The items were laid out well and it ran smoothly. It told a really nice story. I like the nice air conditioning inside it which was unexpected with it being an old bunker.

This is a very nice museum presentation. Just the right size to spend an hour or so. Provides a history of Hawaiian history and involvement in the US. Military. It's also free! Upstairs is a presentation of the Army Corp of Engineers in their involvement in the infrastructure of Hawaii.

had a late flight, leaving me with a few hours to spare before heading to the airport. Given that it's just a 10-minute walk from my hotel and offers free admission, we decided to pay it a visit. To our surprise, there was far more to see than we had anticipated. We delved into the rich military history of Hawaii and came away with a newfound appreciation for it. If you're a fan of military history, you won't leave disappointed.

This is a surprising gem that is bigger than it looks. The museum is in a former gun battery that provides a great backdrop for military history displays from Hawaiian history to the Vietnam war.

Wow!! Cannot believe this is free. Ww we're amazed. It speaks to the Army Corps and all they do...I had no idea. First floor has a ton of exhibits and so much I cannot describe it. Second floor has more exhibits, a movie and helicopter and naval canons. Outside the front are more weapons and tanks. There is a museum and bathrooms. So we'll done! Y'all gotta go explore it.

Interesting museum goes into the history of pre colonial Hawaii , Hawaii after annexation by the USA, and the Army's involvement in Hawaii s history and defense and the evolution of the Army up to WW2 and Korean War times.Lot of gun exhibit s different weapons for different era's, don't forget there's a second floor with a memorial to Hawaii s fallen heroes.

An absolutely great museum, and it is FREE!. There are several donation boxes and if you go please donate. There are not too many places like this. Clean and nice, well presented historical artifacts & items throughout. Great for the history fan or military enthusiasts. Weapons from mainly WW2, Korea and Vietnam. They even have a cobra on the 2nd floor/roof. Multiple a more vehicles and cannons out front. Set right next to the ocean this place is a real gem. I beleive most people walk by and don't even know it is there. I would highly recommend you stop in and check it out. Lots of fun, and don't forget to donate!

For free, you can't really beat this if you are into military museums. I enjoyed it more than Pearl Harbor this year. With all the Covid restrictions, this was just a much more enjoyable experience this year and I would come back for a third or fourth time.

Pretty cool museum with lots of historical artifacts and replica. The museum is actually the old battery Randolph. It's definitely a fun and free way to entertain yourself and anyone who might have an interest in history. There is no need to schedule appointments or buy tickets. They do have a donation box as you walk in, and I would recommend giving a little something to help the museum.

It's basically free entry with a good will donation. It's not a big museum but it's got quite a lot to see.

A must for us, having a son in the Army. Free admission, but please donate something during your visit. Many historic displays. The museum is actually in a concrete bunker used to house huge battery guns. Two floors, and a nice gift shop.Ft Derussy next door with a beach . The hotel is a military R&R.

An interesting museum that provides a lot of historical context about the US Army and their role in past conflicts around the world. Admission is free, so it's definitely worth a visit if you are looking to kill some time while in Honolulu.

Visitors should definitely take some time to look through this free museum. It is air conditioned inside. You can go through quickly to admire the visuals or take your time to read and learn from each display.

Free admission. Open: Tuesday - Saturday, 10am to 5pm. At the exterior of the museum, one can see tanks, canon and a howitzer on display..The history of the museum building is explained in detail at Battery Randolph Gallery. The exhibits on the ground floor depict early Hawaiian warfare through the Vietnam war. On the 2nd floor, army heroes are given recognition at the Gallery of Heroes. One can also see the Cobra helicopter. Restrooms are also located on the 2nd floor.

This is a free museum that is packed with a lot of amazing information, including a lot on Pearl Harbor which is great as it's oft booked up. I learned a lot and the exhibits are fantastic. I would have loved to see more medical stuff. The aeronautics that were included were amazing, from a helicopter to avionics equipment. Staff was friendly and great to chat to. Great gift shop. Learned a lot about Hawaii's history. There is a beautiful memorial on the top floor with explanations of various war medals. I also enjoyed the very early war weapons, which included shark tooth weapon replicas.

Nice museum. Takes about two hours to go though. A lot more inside than you would think. Lots of display cases showing the history of the building and the area. The air conditioning works very well inside so it's a great place to cool off after a hot afternoon.

This museum was really informative. There was so much to see and read. Lots of artifacts, weapons and displays. The Cobra helicopter was especially cool to see up close. There is a very good area dedicated to the former Army Chief of Staff General Shinseki from Hawaii. It is free to the public. There is a nice little gift shop at the end.

It's closed now for renovations but there's this other little informational office upstairs with a few exhibits. And on the outside second floor there's a AH 1S cobra gunship on display. Awe yeah, at the entrance there's a Japanese ww2 tank and a ww2 US tank on display. Aloha

The museum is closed on Sunday and Mondays but they have some cool displays out front. I've been in there before but I'm sure it's changed a bit over the years. Can't wait to go in on Wednesday.

Great museum, free entry. We just walked in and spent an hour looking at history. Museum is literally in an old base, and is nicely air conditioned. This place is a great place to learn about the history of this island. This place was actually supposed to be destroyed but was too strong for the wrecker. I wonder if the city will destroy the base in the future to build another resort, as it is in a perfect location for one.

They have a good standard of machinary, guns, maps, history charts, only in english, no coffee or deli inside, no other language options for visitors.
