TL,DR Even if you simply need a quick place to park, the employees enjoy harassing you either to spend money or to shake you up. They're not affiliated with the hotel, only way to get this place to improve is to not support their business until a new business can take over. 📒 Parking can be accessed via the 3rd and 4th floor if you're staying at Hawaiian Monarch. You need to keep the ticket to redeem for exit. Cash only bc they want to evade tax. 😮‍💨 🎩💁 If you're renting the smart cars from next door, you can totally fit your car FREE by parking along the Ala Wai until 8:30am. You're welcome. 🤙

This is a terrible location to park $37 per day with rude 2nd shift younger lady who works there. The problem is if you are staying at 444 Niu (a large condo complex) there is no street parking so you are forced to pay cash for this sketchy small parking garage spot. I would recommend you stay away from staying at 444 Niu and stay away from this parking lot. It should be ZERO STARS. Also there are only a few levels to park on and most of the parking is designated for business parking.

The parking for this place is suspicious and seems they doing this under table to skip taxation. They accept only cash, and if you request for receipt they going to provide you with piece of paper with hand written receipt, which doesn’t say anything and don’t show any address. The guy who sits at the parking gate starts arguing with you if you insist for the receipt also, said they have a old system and do everything on hand. It sounds funny because the street parking meters are able to print receipt and these people cannot. I have ended up paying out cash from my pocket even though my company can reimburse my parking expenses. I suggest you to look for a legitimate place instead of this shady lot.

Parking in this garage is a literal night mare. Parking attendants have attitudes with you for no reason at all; they are simply upset that you decided to exist in the same vicinity as them. If you are staying at the hotel or the Air B&B next to it don't park here, rent your car out daily or just book a hotel with parking. It would cost you more but it will save you from headaches as well as being given unwarranted attitude that could possibly ruin your whole trip.

I had the displeasure of dealing with a very cranky lady who's very jaded by her job. I just need a quick place to park to meet someone at the Hawaiian Monarch (surprisingly not affiliated with the parking business). Lady tried to upsell me on the $30+ rate for the whole day when I really only needed an hour ... I kindly asked her to "just give me my change please;" to which she just snapped at me yelling that I had an attitude problem and that she would '86 me and do some other explicitly awful things to me... 😱😰And it continued until I drove past the gate😑. I brushed off the rudeness because the island does this to people...low pay, high rent, dead-end jobs🤔. The parking service sucks, rates are crazy... At the end of the day I feel bad for the workers. But still, I wished my time and I was treated with more respect and hospitality😟😔.

The parking attendant( Caucasian) was SUPER rude. I said I will do self parking as same as last time I did. He started shouting to me. I asked “I don’t understand why you are so aggressive?” But he said “ What did you say!? Ha!?? You said I am aggressive!? Ha!? “ Front Desk officer recommended me to call the police. I asked the security guy to escort me when I got out from the parking because the parking attendant was there. I don’t know he is discrimination person or chauvinism. I will never use the parking.

Do NOT park at this lot: - Cash only is questionable business. - Did not honor the rate we were told on the first night. - When we asked for contact information to complain, was told by the owner's daughter "No, it stops with me." At the end, we were refused service to park at the lot.

My God - avoid avoid avoid!!!!! These people are terrible. We couldn’t even park here. It’s cash only upon entry . . . So have you have watched Ozarks? Highly possible that this is a mob scheme to launder cash. The guy at the booth with a toy at the badge and BB gun from Target gave us such a hard time to park there. The garage is unaffiliated with the hotel yet he wanted our names, room, number and asked what college I went to. He was outrageously rude and worked even harder to trigger me. We opted to park elsewhere than deal with them. Hotel staff are nice. But need to find a way to rid themselves of this cancer. Also, my wife is a therapist and had offered to start a support group for all the mistreated customers. We only take cash 😂😥

The most miserable parking experience of my life. Street parking in this area is almost impossible so it's awesome our hotel has a parking garage! Too bad it cost $35 (for 24h) as of May 2021. Might aswell stay at a different hotel/air BNB that cost a little more but has parking included. Parking 'staff' is surprisingly worse than I anticipated. If I knew it was going to be this bad I would have stayed somewhere else.

I stayed at the hotel and thought it would be convenient to park my car there. When I drove up the older lady that worked there was rude and disgusting. I just reverse out and parked at a different lot 3 blocks away for half the price they were charging. I would never spend a cent there.

This place is the worse parking Garage I have ever been too. Avoid at all cost. I rented a car in the lobby which was a smart car and I was suppose to be charge 20 dollars per day but I was overcharged double which was 40 per day. I informed the lady at the booth that I was told it was 20 but she insisted it was 40. I paid anyway. On the last day of my term while exiting I was told by the same attended that my ticket has expire, and I had to pay another 40$ if I wanted to parked for one more day. I informed her that I didn’t have any cash on me and if I can park my car to the side she refused and began to be disrespectful. Fast forward. I left the car at the booth and proceeded to the atm. When I returned the nasty attended told me that I am being ban for trespassing. The next day I was told my my car rental company that I was overcharged so I immediately went back to the booth and asked to speak to a maneger which was the worst. Her name is Britney I explained to her that her staff was disrespectful and I was overcharged. She refuse to answer my phone call but only text. She was more upset about how I got her number than trying to solve the problem which was pathetic. Fast forward she told me I was also ban due to how I spoke to her attended which was a reaction from her attended being disrespectful to me and my wife. Fast forward she agreed that I was overcharged by $40 and I should get back and get a refund. Hours later when I returned from an outing, I went to the booth and she authorized them to give me $25 instead of 40 that she previously agreed to. so I text her and called her no response. My last respond to her was that I will be filing a report with the better business bureau because they are thiefs and they overcharged there customers. She immediately replied and stated that I should go back and get my remaining money. These people are criminals from the staff to the management they all need to go. You can’t run a business like that. Base on the other reviews they bad. They don’t even deserve 1 star.

The girl working the booth started yelling at me because of the cones I know direct sign, saying that I couldn’t go from downstairs. Using the driveway, she then tells me that they are not associated with the hotel, but then tells me how I am allowed to drive through the driveway of the hotel. She raise her voice at me twice before I said a single word she wouldn’t let me explain why I did that. Normally she wouldn’t let me park here. She threatened to “86” me. She’s yelling at me like she owns the parking lot. I didn’t say a single word to her and I patiently waiting my turn for all the cars to go before I went. I had gone out the little driveway and up the driveway. I would’ve caused a large obstruction in the street because some dummies were parked in a bad place, but she didn’t yell at them. She only yelled at me. Maybe since she’s running everything, she should tell the hotel that they need to make better signs for her and her parking. And make sure that everybody knows how they are allowed to drive on the driveway and which driveway they are allowed to enter. There is no signage visible when driving up from the lower lobby. I have always been really nice to her. There is no excuse for the way she spoke to me. I didn’t deserve it. This is the last time I’m giving this parking garage $45

Worst god forsaken business I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. If the husky lady doesn’t eat you alive, the old ogre will try her best even with missing teeth. I was extorted into paying for more nights than I actually parked my car. Avoid at all costs, if you value integrity.

Price gouging parking lot Horrible service, extremely greedy / unfair prices. Old lady missing her front teeth was so excited to price gouge an additional $35 for my 12 hour stay ($75 total) Would rather have my car towed from street parking than park here again

Worst experience on the whole island. The woman at the drive in booth with the pink headphones was the most horrible person ive met on hawaii. At first she was nice but on the 2nd day when we drove into the parking i didnt saw the “no right turn” sign after which she started getting rude. I instantly said sorry multiple times once i realized that i wasnt allowed to do that turn. She insisted that apparently she gave me a hand sign to wait which i didnt realize because she was sitting in her booth with dark windows. I kept saying sorry but she started screaming and threatening me with an “86”. She wouldn’t even let me talk so i could never explain to her why i did that right turn. I dont know who that woman thinks she is but she’s definitely on a high horse and her live must be really sad if you treat tourists that way. All the reviews speak the truth, i would suggest you rather look for another parking theres plenty around with similar prices.

Horrible experience. We used the service a couple days ago, used free parking 15 minutes away yesterday, and when we came back today (only option available), they insisted that we pay for the time in between! I showed photo proof that we parked nearly a mile away in between, the man apologized and let us up, saying that someone up there would give us a sticker so we wouldn't get towed. No one was up there. We came back down for one, and then he started to again say that we needed to pay $35 a night for times that we did not use the garage! You literally already let us up and said that we would get a sticker up there. He seemed drunk. He called his supervisor and loudly complained that we were trying to get a free night. I literally had pictures of where we parked! We eventually got the pass, but he was horrible. This place is a complete rip off. Do not use unless you absolutely have to. They will try to take advantage of you.

Cash only, as many already said probably to evade taxes. Feels like a robbery to pay 45 dollars to park. We even had the wait for the staff to arrive to rob us. Classic experience with all the business in this building…

The rates are too high. I told the attendant that I was leaving later that night and one said they wouldn't charge me, for staying a few hours over (5hrs). Another attendant said that they would. They flip very easily. The Hawaiian woman (the attendant at the booth) looks like to have attitude all the time. Personally I would just park on Date Street.

The lady working here charged some people less than others. With the exact same circumstances. She was absolutely horrible to us and super unfriendly. Will not be back. Paid 60$ Canadian for one night.

Honestly its a pretty good parking garage, the lady in the front is super nice and the garage itself always has spots available. its a bit pricy at 45 dollars a day or 6 dollars an hour but its pretty consistent with all of the parking garages around the area, unless you get the 2 hour max parking offered on the streets around the hotel for 6 dollars. Theres a long area of parking for free by the river however its always full unless its super early in the morning (3-4am). If you lose your ticket itll cost alot of money so just keep it taped on the window. The bathrooms in the hotel also need a keycard to be used. Its a great parking place for the day but if youre looking for more than 2-3 days its gonna get pretty pricey

Avoid at all costs! Find alternative parking. Had been parking for a week and needed one more day at the end and they wouldn’t let me pay the multiple day rate had to pay the more expensive 24 hour rate. On top of this the staff are all incredibly rude except one young guy who I feel sorry for having to work here.

Unimpressed, very unprofessional service, only takes cash (shady way to evade taxes) and they don’t even have enough change to break a 100$ bill😂 frankly pathetic and overpriced. Save your money and drive around the city. You’ll need patience but it’ll honestly save you lots of money and a bad experience with these folks. Pay attention to the signalling on each streets since some allow you to park there from 8pm to 6am-6:30am. Beware of tow trucks, they’re always ready 😉
