Cafe

👍👍 The Vietnamese owners are friendly and wonderful. I love the iced Vietnamese coffee and they always remember how I like it, not too sweet. This little cafe is great for a quick pastry or drink or a casual meeting or meal. Nice inside and outside seating by the street. I go here almost every morning... The couple that runs this Cafe are incredibly hospitable. Atmosphere is good and ac feels comfortable. Coffee is next level and jet fuel as far as I'm concerned. Strongest coffee for the money on the island hands down. The banh mi is pretty good and we had the lemon grass chicken. The lemon grass chicken was flavorful and had a bit of heat. Overall lovely experience and would recommend to any coffee lover looking for different food offerings.

Amazing little coffee shop with a very sweet couple. They make you feel like family when you dine there. The sandwich in French bread had amazing flavor.

Probably the best Chicken pho on the island. Light, hearty and filling. Way worth the price. The coffee is super saiyan strong. Had to dilute it a couple of times. Gave me brain jolts from drinking 1/8 of the cup. The cafe lives up to it's name.

The best Vietnamese coffee in the area. By far. Hands down. The staff was extremely friendly - seriously maybe one of the most energetic, excited, passionate servers I have ever met - and the coffee was just so delicious. A must try for anyone who wants this type of drink, or is looking to be more adventurous with coffee. Be be warned, it is extremely strong and will have you wired for the day!

Perfect.... that is all I have for you. The owners are beyond positive and polite, the food was fresh and bursting with flavors and aroma. The atmosphere was relaxing and delightful. The bathroom was clean and organized. I'll be sure to visit this location again. It's a short walk from the cruise terminal, if that's how you came. A+ and beyond...

Strong Vietnamese coffee that will rev your engine and keep you up. Delicious lemon grass chicken bahn mi sandwich nicely seasoned, crisp toasted bread and with crunchy pickled vegetables.

I love this place, it's relaxing and they give the best service. It's also a little hidden gem to just get a meal or coffee and enjoy, especially in this not so hidden trendy Kakaako area. On top of that, this is a mom & pops establishment, which means they appreciate your business.

Not loving my iced latte and they seem to do a brisk lunch takeout business so even an iced latte can take some time midday. The iced latte may be powdered and it’s definitely bitter—probably nice in Vietnamese coffee, but not my favorite coffee flavor in a regular latte. I’ll definitely come back for the food, that looked good and reasonably priced for the area. The owners who work the counter are very friendly. Update July 2023: Good beef pho, made quickly and custom to requests, with a generous serving and nicely flavored broth. Friendly proprietors, as always. They have smoothies and various flavors of tea with boba on the menu, so that’s probably the next thing I’ll try there.

The owners are incredibly friendly. The food is so so good. The lemon grass sandwich is great. My favorite is the pork chops. We’ve come back several times.

Legit Vietnamese coffee and the lemongrass Banh Mi is pretty good too. The owners are AWESOME!! Best Saturday morning welcome I’ve experienced in Hawaii!

This is a really cute place with both indoor and outdoor seating to grab a cup of coffee or a light bite to eat. It is located in the back corner of Salt, so you need to hunt for it. I got their Vietnamese iced coffee as it was midday and getting a bit hot. I really appreciated it when they asked me how sweet to make it because normally it isn't an option. Their Vietnamese ice coffee is probably the best I have ever had and had robust strong body to it that held up against the ice. Their food offerings are minimal, but all sounded great and wish I had ordered their Vietnamese breakfast sandwich. Next time for sure and hopefully soon. Also, The couple that run it are very nice and super friendly. The place felt way more welcoming and comfortable than the other coffee places in the area.

Only went once. But didn't notice last time. Is there a public restroom usable? As long as you buy something?

Cute little Vietnamese shop with good food and good, strong coffee! The owners were super sweet and awesome. They even offered to adjust the sweetness of my Vietnamese coffee if it wasn’t to my liking. 5/5, would highly recommend!

I've been coming to the Insomnia once to twice a week for the past 4 years. It's one of the best priced eateries in Honolulu! Good foods and nice service from the couple! The best part is no MSG used here, which is a PLUS 👍👍

Run by an elderly couple, very kind. The prices are very decent considering the location. I have found a go-to during my lunch breaks!!!My meal cost a little over $8, perfect for college students😄

Cute Vietnamese tea shop with friendly owners. The drinks were good but we had to wait 25 minutes to get them. The two owners are the only ones working so bring your patience pants.
