On my most recent visit, there was only one person working - he handled everything from the register to preparing food. I ordered: a Teri beef kimbap, 3 double-cookie cream puffs, a mango chiffon, a pistachio pudding, tuna melt taiyaki and a strawberry jelly drink. This recent visit not being our first, we did try some new things. Of course desserts are best when there can be lots of sampling! The desserts are priced reasonable to other dessert speciality locations so sharing is always our best bet when ordering. There was a bit of a wait as the Kimbap, taiyaki and jelly drink were all made to order. We waited about 10 minutes for a fresh order so for us, it was worth the wait. The chiffon is light and airy, not at all sweet. There was just a hint of mango, a stark contrast from the cream puff literally coated in sugar. The taiyaki was the surprise for me - like a warm tuna melt with American cheese. It was small and yet still very filling. My best advice is to either come wanting select items or go wild and sample a bit of everything!

Malu is a gem of this island! They have weekly new desserts which I love the most. I visit every week and literally not a single dessert disappoints. I recommend the place to anyone and everyone I know if they’re craving bougie desserts that tastes good as it looks. Adorable little pink desert shop. Small group of us went there to get Ice Cream and we loved every bite of it!!! Gentleman running the shop was really nice as well!

Honestly, I think it's the most delicious dessert in Hawaii. The prices are reasonable, and the staff at the shop are very friendly. I think it deserves more popularity. For now, my recommendation is the chocolate smoothie.

I saw the reviews for this and hurried over one night to find out all the desserts were sold out :( tried again the next day, and I was glad I did! Scored the last piece of yuzu cheesecake (at 5:30pm, so come early if you don’t want to be disappointed!) The baked cheesecake was fluffy and creamy in texture without being overly sweet. There were small chunks of yuzu in the cake along with a yuzu gel on top. Overall it made for a refreshing yet satisfying cheesecake. I also got the vanilla soft serve with black sesame chocolate sauce. It was amazing! The guy who runs the store and makes all the desserts said that was his personal favourite and I can see why! The chocolate in it causes it to harden slightly with the ice cream. When you eat it, it melts in your mouth to be silky chocolate with the toasted nuttiness of black sesame. I also got a hojicha jelly drink with oat milk. The jelly is soft and makes for a great drink. Again, not too sweet but quite pleasant. It had the delicate tea flavour of hojicha. Cold and refreshing. It’s tastes and feels like a better alternative to overly sweet bubble tea.

Lunch and dinner only at specific times. Great desert

The puff pastry didn’t taste like a puff pastry at all. Instead it tasted like a box white cake with some matcha frosting in the middle. For a desert place this wasn’t any better then desert you could het at a grocery store.

Taka was very nice! I had the Matcha Jelly drink which was so delicious along with the cream puffs that were to die for😍 Not to mention the cute pink asthetic of the Bakery. Just be sure to stop by the parking shed to get your ticket or else you pay $40 or even worse, you get towed... Nevertheless Malu is worth it! Also ordered Face cakes which were just like the pictures on Instagram! I will be back❤️

Great place for delicious dessert. Service was helpful and the food was good. The puff had a mix of two creams, great mixture. Free parking outside till 10PM. Not far Ala Moana Shopping center.

So good!! The guy running the store makes all the sweets and they are not overly sweet at all and have this light airy flavor to it. Perfect take out dessert after dinner in the area.

Good gosh, this little dessert shop is Heavenly. The baker is an artist! A respectable selection to choose from, but if you're looking for a recommendation, go straight for the cream puff. It's definitely to die for...then again, nothing we ordered was disappointing. My new obsession.

Cute looking place, we got their soft serve ice cream. It was good, one of them was a special tea flavored sauce. Apart from that nothing too special. It was a bit pricey for pretty simple soft serve with a syrup of choice. We should have gotten the taiyaki instead. Looked better than what we got.

The kimbap and sweets are so bomb and consistent. I get them almost every other day and have never had a bad experience. No food coma=fine ingredients

The soft served ice creams are yummy but the sponge cakes(cup) are dry. Flavor is nice though

The soft serve with Mango sauce so refreshing!!! Great taste. We bought a pastry to have later they were beautiful. Excited to eat.

Located at Samsung plaza, cute little shop that sells various desserts and even some kimbap. Try the cream puff trio, it's excellent!!

The lilikoi chiffon cake was kick you in the balls delicious. 15/10 would recommend

Came here to try out their taiyaki cone and a thing of cream puffs. The soft serve tasted a little icy compared to creamy. And the taiyaki tasted a little stale and not as fresh as somisomi. The cream puffs was very tasty

Taka the owner/pastry chef was very friendly n explained me about each cake throughout. I've got also cream puffs which contains both whipped and custard creams as well n it was so good! I will definitely coming back for their Taiyaki and Bento box next!
