Aloha everyone! Been wanting to review this for awhile now but haven’t been well. Feel a little well enough to finally do it and am excited to share my experience. L&L has always been a family favorite with every type of plate lunch and other offerings u can think of and we love so many of them. Today though i want to talk about the Vegan plant- based Musubi. I absolutely LOVE it. I could eat it everyday and a friend of mine could too. In fact, she turned me on to it and I’ve been hooked ever since. Now although it looks like a SPAM Musubi it is in no way close to it in taste. Its for one thing, drier and not as salty. Lightly coated with a teriyaki glaze. I like to personally add a little more of my own teri sauce because i like it drenched and a few dashes of togarashi but honestly its fine as is too. The “Omni Pork luncheon meat” is produced by Omni Foods and some of the ingredients include but are not limited to: potato starch, non GMO soy, wheat gluten and beet juice. I know so far it doesn’t sound tasty at all and if i had read the ingredients before I actually tried it, I probably wouldn’t have tried it either but hey, doesn’t hurt to try. You definitely won’t die. 😁 But to be fair, I am not a huge SPAM lover. I will eat it only if it is sliced thin and drenched in teriyaki sauce and i will eat it that way maybe twice a year. I know most of you are probably gasping in horror but YES, I’m local born and raised and YES, I’m supposed to automatically love SPAM since i was born, raised and living in Hawaii, but, I’m Japanese, Okinawan and a dash of Korean and I’m allergic to seafood. Especially shellfish (your probably gasping again aren’t you?) so i really have no explanation for you. Im just me and i love the plant based vegan musubi at L&L. 😍 It is Made to order, so u might want to call ahead and unfortunately extremely limited in where they are sold. I personally know of the Airport L&L and Waimanalo Location but please call first in case things have changed since this review. Mahalo for reading and as always support local!👍

It's L&L, the classic Hawaiian diner. This one in particular is pretty good, the staff is always friendly and on point with everything, fast too. Just don't forget to have them stamp your parking receipt for free parking - otherwise it can cost like $50 if you lose it (whoops! know this from experience). My personal favorite will always be the chicken katsu plate, and despite eating a lot, the mini plate always satisfies me. What can I say, it

Delicious and fresh food. Portions and very generous as well. Staff is friendly. And their prices are very reasonable by Hawaiian standards. If there’s anything negative about the place then seating is limited. Thus, may become an issue if you are trying to dining in during lunch time. Otherwise, it’s a good place to grab some Hawaiian BBQ. Parking space is also widely available.

Ordered bbq chicken and bbq short rib plate but ended up getting two pieces of chicken that looked only 2/3 of its original size and two pieces of short rib with one that looked 2/3. Tf is wrong with you guys. Up the price but don’t decrease the value of the damn food. The chicken looked like you guys ate 1/3 of it.

HUGE portions and cooked perfectly. Really affordable prices and great location right outside the airport and airport hotels. Just wish they cleaned the place better. There were food scraps and everywhere, and it was filthy inside.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! I ordered a seafood combination plate and it was so delicious!! I got full and I didn't want to stop eating. I would recommend eating here if you are nearby.

Great food. Nice place to wait for the airport. They will validate parking. Free refills, Friendly staff and customers. My favorite is the Mac Salad. I don't know if this one had Malasadas. I didn't look, but those are the kids favorite.

The food was delicious, as usual. Though the ambiance and cleanliness of the restaurant was a bit lacking. The walls by our table were disgusting

So my order was a orange chicken regular, paid for my order and looked in my receipt just to see what number was my ticket. And realized that she mistakenly put chicken cutlet instead of orange chicken. I ask her about it and the cashier she said i order it (which I didn’t, knowingly 100% I didn’t). This review is just a heads up to people planning to order food there. Being here in Hawaii for the first time, love the people and the culture.

Fresh large portion of chicken katsu with rice, mac salad and sauce for $12! I consider this a win. Portion was larger, however took a photo after some was eaten. It was fresh and crunchy.

Their hours were posted online as open until 10pm. I arrived at 8:50pm and didn't see their new hours posted on the door, closing at 9pm. The manager was working the register and he was very accommodating and friendly, said they were closing soon and didn't have a full menu to choose from. I ordered the Loco Moco, but when I got home, what I got was something different. It was great tasting either way and I would return. Also I tried the tarts, recommend by others, and they are quite tasty.

Extremely slow service, the quality of food isn’t quite there. If you want extra Sriracha sauce you need to pay extra. Cheap forks that break really easy.

Went to this specific location because it had the highest reviews out of all the other locations, did not disappoint. The pork and cabbage were so juicy and flavorful. Also I usually hate eating cabbage dishes at home, but this cabbage was so delicious, i could eat it all day. Service was very good and friendly since we took a hot minute to decide what we wanted, she was very patient with us and explained what everything was and didn't rush us at all.

I got the healthy bbq chicken and it was delicious with a big salad and some brown rice. Just a warning the parking lot for it is where it says '2 hour free parking' they will validate once you get food at the restaurants nearby.

Free 2 hours parking with validation. Plenty parking space and good place to wait for the arrival of the airplane. Portuguese sausage with rice, egg and additional link sausage was $10.60 plus tax. Food was actually very delicious. It’s better than 4 less than 5 stars.

This is a trusted local chain that will satisfy. Local staples such as the loco moco or garlic shrimps are my go to selections but they offer way more than that. Unfortunately during COVID times this branch only offer takeout. Regardless, this place is close to the airport and I can indulge on my favorite platter before I return my rental and fly back home.

Reasonably priced for the amount of food. As others have mentioned, some meals can feed 2 people. Food is tasty. I really like the rice. The meat is a little more on the fatty side though. I understand some people like it that way but I always cut the fat off meat before eating it. Luckily it was well marinated so even the fat had nice flavors.

So good. Garlic shrimp and mochiko chicken. Mini mochiko was like 9$ for a plate. Very good deal Walking distance from airport (terminal 2 ) as long as you're still outside security. Just follow Google. I wouldn't recommend walking from the rental center ground level, walking on roads basically.

I arrived within 5 minutes of their closing time and feared I wouldn't be able to order but they friendly staff didn't deny me service. I order the Curry Katsu for take out and it was amazing. It's the first time I've tried it and it was delicious. The food was still hot when I arrived to my hotel room and the katsu was crispy when I ate it. Location is convenitly located right around the corner form the Best Western where I stayed. Friendly staff, delicious food and huge portions for the low price. 5 stars!

Portions are HUGE. 1 plate can feed 2-3 people. Great bargain for good food. Do recommend when trying to get food close to airport

I had the teriyaki steak and rice, it was great. The only problem was the plastic fork broke while using it. But that is nothing against L&L. I have always received good food from L&L and the food is usually ready in a timely manner. Also, this location went out of their way to make sure to stamp my parking ticket so I didn’t have to pay for parking! Highly recommend visiting here!

Hot, Fresh, Friendly service. Highly recommend. Portions are huge and delicious. We drove by a few times not realizing that it is in a lot that has a ticket gate. Take your ticket in and they will validate your parking.

The L&L off of Airport Drive is nothing short of AMAZING!!! Highly recommend the mixed combo plate of chicken katsu and loco moco with an extra side order of mac salad! I promise you will not be disappointed!
