Dr. Tavares is the man!!! Not only is he an amazing Doctor but he is a sincere man with a genuine personality. He really cares about his patients and if you ever have a problem with anything, you can call his office and he and his staff will do their best to accommodate. His medical assistants are extremely professional and helpful and they return phone calls in a timely manner. If your life is being affected by chronic pain please go see Dr. Tavares and his team. Dr Tavares is a consumate professional who has an exceptional ability to listen and understand your medical needs. He made me feel comfortable immediately and was able to diagnose my medical problem in a matter of minutes. He and his Assistant Dr Brewer are an exceptional team and I feel confident my medical condition will improve in a very short period of time!

To all pain sufferers search no more! Dr. Tavares is the epitome of Aloha. He is local, born and bred. He is kind, compassionate, and caring with superb bedside manner. We have tried countless medications, therapies, tests, labs, referrals, etc. to treat fibromyalgia, neck pain, migraines, and IBS since 2016. He listens to me at every visit, while I complain about the stresses of life and pain. He works with you, even if you want to try some crazy, half-baked remedy, he's like "let's try it" ....no ego involved (joke). He practices with patience, integrity, and excellence. He is a rare gem as a human being, and a blessing to the medical profession in Hawaii.

I’ve got doctors for it ALL and this guy is my FAVORITE! I’m not exaggerating when I say he’s the absolute best at what he does. When I hear people complain they’re in pain, I literally want to put them in my car and show up at his office. He does it all - you don’t even have to go anywhere. All the appointments, injections, and nerve procedures are done right there in his office. I don’t even research or google anymore what he’s suggesting I have done because I trust him 💯 and Know he’s done all the research and tried every technique. I had a few back surgeries, countless epidurals, nerve ablation and now a spinal cord stimulator. I have gone from a 9-10 pain level daily to NOTHING - NO PAIN!!! It’s incredible! I hike Diamond Head now, go to Zumba, swim, ride bikes and walk my dogs for miles. I kiss the ground Dr. Tavares walks on. He’s the king of pain management. I’ve had a lot of doctors but this one actually wants his patients to get better and feel good. If you’re reading this and need pain management, pray to God you can get in to his office and he’ll take you. If not, you’re screwed - ha!

Dr Tavares is amazing. He has been treating me for almost 2 years. He has been such a tremendous help in helping to manage my chronic conditions. I have referred multiple people to him and they say they same. My quality of life is better and his bedside manner is awesome!

Im retired Navy and was referrrd for pain issues. Im a nite worker first responder and had to cancel both my AM appts the day of due to work. When i tried to make an appt his staff told me i had to get another VA referral even after i explained the situation. She said the doctors own personal policy wont allow a patient in need another appt and to get another VA referral. Got another referral and no response. No dr is that good. Sad.

By far one of the best doctors I have ever seen. I was a patient while serving o the military (2013 - 2016). He's very professional and courteous. I'd recommend him to anyone with chronic pain. Excellent staff also!

He is my favourite doctor I have ever had, and I’ve had doctors all over the United States and internationally. As other reviews have said, he has awesome bedside manner. I came to him years after being diagnosed and he was the first doctor to not rush through my visit and to take time to explain what was happening to me. He has been an answer to prayer. We also love the staff. They make visits so comfortable and fun. My husband and I love them so much and are so grateful for Dr. Tavares.

I've never had a better doctor! He's brilliant, compassionate, cautious, kind, he's an advocate for you with the doctors he refers you to and amazing at what he does. His staff is kind, responsible, prompt and equally as caring and compassionate. He treated me for severe back pain and ultimately helped me get the right diagnosis and help for my back. He has helped me through every step of my post-op care and pain management and was very instrumental in diagnosing and treatment for a post-op complication. Had he not been such a caring advocate, I could have had permanent injury/problems. I'm forever grateful for him. For real pain management and treatment that is proactive - Dr. Tavares is the best
