Went in today for lunch and really enjoyed it. I ordered the Maple Apple Salad and water. The salad was the best thing I have ever eaten. It has chicken which was grilled to perfection and seasoned just right. The staff continually checked to see if I needed anything and they were very nice. My favorite part was the whiskey barrels placed throughout the restaurant itself and the outdoor seating is gorgeous. I would give this 10 stars if I could.

It looks nice from the outside! We waited for awhile. Then we actually went to find a server🤔. When the server came to the table she was very nice and apologetic, we got a soup for a starter, the plate was very hot to the touch, but the soup was cold, hmmm strange and the soup "just" covered the bottom of the bowl, tasted very nice it just was not enough for a paying customer. Salad was good, sandwich and burger where fine. Management, please make sure food is leaving the kitchen hot and portion sizes are adequate for the paying customers. I would recommend a visit 👀👍

Wait was 2.5hrs then we got seated and our server took awhile to get there which it was packed so I understood the wait. So due to the wait we began ordering drinks apps and our main right away all at once. 3 more couples got seated around us with a different server and also began placing their orders. This is when things started getting fun. One more group was seated next to us and also placed their orders. We got our drinks after this group was seated and at this point we have been there 45 minutes. No apps just drinks. 1 hour passes and still nothing. After 30 more minutes our server came out and said the food was at the window waiting to come out. At this point everyone around us has eaten their apps and main courses and are ready to pay and go home. So I decided to call our waitor and ask to pack the food up that's at the window and allow us to pay and leave. He brought the check right away and then we waited again. 20minutes passes after this and still nothing has come out so I decided to go get the car which was parked a good distance away and come back to my wife and daughter ready to go. When I came back inside big whiskey they were still sitting and waiting and at this point I began to get upset because we still haven't gotten anything but I paid for the food and they gladly charged my card. It took .e getting really upset and going to aanager for them to bring out my order and after this it was incorrect. My luck huh. Don't think I'll be returning here and sadly our first time was a great experience hence why we went back. I Paid $80 for the wrong food sigh I guess that was my fault for being so upset and leaving before checking my order that sat in the window for 30minutes.

Amazing food and atmosphere!!! Great Happy Hour Specials.... I also order fried Pickles but I ate them before I thought to take my pics, lol. They were delicious!!

My family and I ate here for the first time this weekend and we absolutely LOVED our entire experience. Being a family of 5, we chose the outside patio dining because they have great outdoor activities available for the kids to enjoy. Our kids had a blast! This was honestly one of the best experiences we’ve ever had at a restaurant. Our waitress Alecea was very nice and hospitable. The food and drinks were so good! We’re definitely coming back, as a family and as well as for a date night 😊

We had lunch. Lunch is from 11:00 until 2:00. We ordered the American Cobb salad and the Buffalo chicken wrapper. The Buffalo chicken wrapper is served with fries.. They were both delicious and were also enough for two. It was not super crowded when we arrived but was picking up as we were leaving. Our server was pleasant. The bathroom was clean ( which is a big deal for me).

First time going. Heard through the grapevine/telephone tree that this place was nice and worth the visit. I had my birthday party there and it was not disappointing at all. Had a great time. Food was served in a decent amount of time. The waiter and staff were AMAZING. WE CHATTED, WE LAUGHED, WE TOOK PHOTOS! Loved it. Will be back soon!

The place was packed, but we didn't wait long. You could tell our server was seasoned the way he divided our orders. The drinks were delicious the food was amazing and the environment was such a vibe. We could've sat there talking for hours. Great ending to my birthday weekend!

My wife and I went here for the first time because a co-worker raves about this restaurant. It was an overall very disappointing experience. For 6pm, the restaurant was not busy at all, but our server took forever to greet us and get drinks (one beer & 2 waters). Things were not helped that Jamiaya was very difficult to understand. We ordered the Alaska Cod (see picture) and Shrimp tacos and both dishes tasted "off". Its not that they were outright bad, but something about them just wasn't right. The coleslaw was bad tasting (to me). People also rave about portion sizes, but but the size of the filets did not 'wow' me... The manager apologized and offered us another meal, but the experience up to that moment made us just want to leave. Its unfortunate that we had a bad experience when so many other people seem to enjoy the service and food.

I have had several reviews here…this time was first ever trying veggie wrap, I added grilled chicken. It was 6oz of soft chicken with every bite. Very delicious and filling. You get a generous portion of veggies. I’ll be ordering this again, for sure!

This was my hubby and I first time visiting with family! We had a great time! Our waitress Kirsten was so awesome serving our family!! Other family members have dined here before and told us how great it was and we were not disappointed!! We will be back!! 😊💜💜💜

Big Whiskey’s never disappoints! I have loved this place from day one. They made the mistake of putting it in an area I frequent so it’s a regular for me. The entire staff is always eager to help and that makes the experience even more enjoyable. The drinks, the food and of course the atmosphere are outstanding.

Came in for our first time and wasn’t the sure what to expect. The service was quick, very attentive, and helpful. We ordered a variety of food and everything came out perfect. But we also appreciate it is that there were some uniqueness to it as well. I think my only piece of advice would be to enhance the decor a little bit. The barrels exceeding the wall and overlapping the windows seemed a little odd. That’s petty I know but that’s the only thing I would say to change (see pic) Greatly appreciated the entire meal experience.

The food was very good, atmosphere great, not too noisy like other places. Our server, Michael, was excellent! We had a table of nine ladies, and he was very attentive, professional, and got every detail right! Thanks for showing us girls a good time!

This was a great family restaurant. I puts you in mind of an upscale steak house or Ruby Tuesday. The food was delicious. We were celebrating a graduation and a birthday. I was truly surprised when I saw the house salad with all the fixings, which you get at Ruby Tuesday when you make it yourself. I had the pork chops. The only thing missing was the bone. Everyone enjoyed their food and the kids enjoyed the outside games they had. The only thing I didn't really care for was fan/heater above our heads. I asked for the fan to be turned down or off on our part of rhe patio, but they could only turn the heater on. So needless to say the fan was blowing cool air, and that made the heat air cool instead of warn. Our waiter, BRIANNA, was EXCEPTIONAL!!! We had managers come to our table for refills also. We will be back!!😊

The food had good flavor but every thing was was over cooked and dry. I had the ribeye (mr) it was almost well done and it wasn't a ribeye it was a Chuckeye. I showed the staff. They had no clue what I was talking about. The chicken so over cooked we left half of it. Pork chops again good flavor but cooked to death. We got ready to leave and it took 35 minutes to get the bill. Some of our party left because of the amount of time we had to wait. 2 hours 25 minutes once we sat down

Every time I come to Big Whiskey, the food and service is always great! Madison was our waitresses and her personality was amazing! But I don’t expect less especially for Bug Whiskey. Management is always friendly and helpful. I had the 12 count wings with the fries. Their signature flavor is sooo good! Big Whiskey Honey BBQ.

Honest review: I was greeted upon arrival by the host and quickly seated. The hostess was quite pleasant, asked if it was my first visit, and directed me towards the menus available. I love how she set the server up for success. My server (Jo T.) greeted me within a minute, made a food suggestion, and was friendly as well. We had big whiskey today for brunch and it was AMAZING ! We were able to watch the Saints Game and enjoy some wonderful food! We had the best service by a waitress Ashtyn who made sure we had quick service, refills on all our drinks and helped us decide on what to have for brunch. There was so many different options it was hard to decide. 10 out of 10 and they give you so much food. We will be back the next time we are in Birmingham !!!

Where to begin…ok at delicious. From the hostess, to our incredible waitress Lisa, to Michael, the manager, and Ronnie, the chef, who made my perfect buffalo chicken wrap. This was an incredible, enjoyable visit. Lisa was unbelievably friendly and informative. Try the barbecue sauce! We did and we are leaving with a full bottle of it. It is probably the best we have ever had. We are just visiting and we have never heard of Big Whiskey, but will definitely be stopping again! It is worth trying for the first time and always coming back!

The food was so good. I had the buffalo Mac and cheese which was delicious. Buffalo chicken and pepper jack cheese on penne pasta, was delicious. It also came with a garlic bread stick that was so good I asked for one to go. Not overly garlic, just the right amount. Our server, Lisa, was top class. Explained everything well, made sure to tell us we could get a free appetizer if we downloaded the app, and made sure we had refills quickly. Excellent service from her, and excellent food from the kitchen. Inside had plenty of tvs, and outside had a fun lounge area with big connect 4 and cornhole. Will definitely be going back.

We were working in Hoover and brought 13 of us to eat dinner. The food was fantastic and our waitress Kylie was amazing, she went above and beyond. Highly recommended!!

First time visiting. Food was pretty good but didn’t come out hot. Service was very slow. We had the Chicken Alfredo and the Bourbon Pork Chops.

First time dining here. It was an "ok" experience. Service was great. Atmosphere decent. The atmosphere was casual. Restaurant very clean. But food wasn't anything to brag about overall. For an appetizer we had the SW eggrolls. This was the best part of the meal. I would definitely order the egg rolls again. They were served with a spicy ranch sauce. For dinner I had garlic parmesean wings (6 for around $13). The sauce was very garlicky and oily. Actual parmesean cheese was sprinkled on the chicken, no other seasoning was in the sauce. I ordered a side of broccoli and cheese. My boyfriend ordered a ribeye with fries. Update: December 2023 I DO NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE! We ordered bar drinks that were not good (basic margarita) and a shot. We kept the shot but simply told the manager that we didn't like the margarita. The manager informed us that this company policy is that bar drinks are final. Our appetizer (egg rolls) did not come. After all of the issues we had tonight we wound up canceling our order. We will not return. This time service was sub standard instead of the food.

My husband and two small kids and i ate here on a Monday. They weren't crowded, so we were seated immediately but everything from there on out was horrible. The service was not good, no refills of drinks or water being offered. The service was so slow after appetizers and drinks we had to get our meal to go. I got home and what do you know, they sent me a plain dry unseasoned salmon. I ordered i think it was called a sweet bourbon salmon. Im so disappointed because i was looking forward to eating that upon returning home. We paid 125 dollars and didn't even get what we paid for . There are other good places to eat in the area, for now i can’t recommend.

The food was great, and drinks were made to perfection . Our waitress was the best she took care of us every step of the way . She even went as far as to find out information on Burbons and whiskey her name is Melina, and she gets an A1 rating. Ask for her she will take great care of you.

We sat on the patio. Nice establishment but it is showing wear and tear. We waited over an hour for our food. Food was hot and good but should not have taken an hour for pasta and chicken fingers. The waitress was super sweet. A little over priced for the food we got and portion sizes. There was not a lot of urgency to anything that we asked for here. If you are not in a hurry.. great place to eat.

Our server was Kasey was amazing our experience was absolutely awesome!!! Their professionalism and level of service was absolutely perfect! Kasey is awesome! My birthday month has been started off right.

Beautiful day so we sat out on the patio. There were 3 other tables with people at them also. Our waitress was nice and offered a few good suggestions. We ordered some drinks and an appetizer that were very good. Took awhile for our food order to be taken. When it arrived the salad did not have avocado or boiled egg. The meat on the philly sliders was a little over done and crispy and dry. It was an okay meal just expected better. First time visit and probably last.
