Hidden Gem. What a beautiful view from this place. Part of history for sure. And the old ship and Dam on the other side of the lighthouse. I love to drive on gravel roads from here to the Covered bridge on the other side. You will see many kinds of birds. And farm animals. Can't enter into the light house. (used to be) free sightseeing and easy parking nearby or before Dam. The best time is sunset or sunrise. Just forget everything and enjoy everything

This was a bit of a lark...we wanted to see lighthouses nearby and GPS took us through a cow pasture! No joke. We laughed and said why would a lighthouse be out here? But, after a mile or so, there it was standing proud for the years it served the canal it watched over. Got some great pics and decided to take the main road back....which was just a few hundred feet from the cow path. Gotta love GPS!

Worth the short stop here on our way to see the Hopewell Rocks. It wasn't very busy during our visit so the small parking area wasn't an issue. We spent about 20 minutes here. There is a pathway to take a longer walk and enjoy the surroundings.

This is a very beautiful spot! Although the lighthouse is starting to show some age and the park's sign needs to be re-done, the views here are stunning! Please note that "Hopewell March rd" and "Shapody Damn rd" are NOT suitable for anything bigger than a four-wheeler after you pass the lighthouse. If you down those roads, you will probably get stuck.

The lighthouse was just another lighthouse of many in the area. But it was the remnants of an old wooden ship rotting aground and the small dam in the area that made this sight more interesting. Beware of the potholes on the dirt road if you decide to venture further.

Wonderful spot off the beaten path. Replica of Ether B. Summer ship which crashed and sunk near Cape Enrage / Waterside in 1912 our local Guide tells us.

Lovely and quiet. A great place to slow down and think about God's creation.

This certainly was a lighthouse, but not worth the 20 min. drive on a dirt road. You could not enter it. The surrounding was a little interesting. Just a heads up - we would not have made the trip. Very surprised after the fact that it was listed as a tourist attraction.
