Da Vinci Little Italian

Restaurant

👍👍 I give this place a 10 out of 5! 🤣 Seriously though. Eating at Da Vinci was one of the best dining experiences I've had in my life! I only thought I knew what real Italian food was. I like Olive Garden, but this place makes Olive Garden look like the McDonald's of Italian Food. Yes. It's that good.... People often mention Italian, good, time, bread, meal,

I give this place a 10 out of 5! 🤣 Seriously though. Eating at Da Vinci was one of the best dining experiences I've had in my life! I only thought I knew what real Italian food was. I like Olive Garden, but this place makes Olive Garden look like the McDonald's of Italian Food. Yes. It's that good. Bring cash or your check book. In true Old World style, they don't take credit cards. My husband lived in Italy for about a year while he was in the Navy. He said the food was just as tasty as he remembers. That is no surprise considering that the chef/owner is half Italian.... and you hear it when he speaks. He migrated to the US from Italy. His mother was Italian, and I think the hostess said his father was from Czechoslovakia. We arrived before they opened for dinner and waited, so were first in. It's a good thing we were. By the time we got our appetizers, the restaurant was beginning to fill up and when we left, they had a waiting list. The dining room is not set up to allow a lot of people, so it wasn't loud. We didn't have one waitress. All of the staff checked on and served all of the tables. They were all very pleasant and seemed happy to be there. They do take reservations, so I'd suggest making reservations if you don't plan to be there between 4:30 and 5 to get a table. Most of the entrees range between. $12 and $20 with some like veal and steak being higher priced. I've included pictures of what we ate. The pictures loaded backwards. Definitely go to Da Vinci. Date night anyone?

If I was just driving by I wouldn't have stopped. I heard the guy in the back speaking with an Italian accent, come to find out he's the owner. I immediately got excited and for good reason, the food was amazing, I had chicken parm and the homemade bread with homemade garlic oil to dip was on point! Perfect little spot basically in a neighborhood and let's not forget Ashley C, her service is the example everyone should follow.

This is a small town Italian Restaurant. We went for lunch. The service was adequate. I ordered the Fungi pasta and the wife had eggplant parmesan. Two house salads. The house salad was red onion cherry tomatoes and mixed greens house dressing unavailable at noon. The balsamic vinaigrette was good but the salad was small. The Fungi Pasta was sun dried tomatoes, garlic, olive oil , parm cheese base with 3 types of much rooms. Was told it came with angle hair pasta but came with Linguini. It was tasty but bread was not served with pasta😒 . It came 5 mins later upon request. The eggplant 🍆 parmesan was ok but nothing to write home about. The servings were sizeable and overall well prepared but only rate a 3⭐.

Old world gastronomy. Food well prepared, beautifully served. Best alfredo I've ever had!

Hands down the best food in the town. Good quality, Good portions and fairly priced. Too small for its popularity though. Friday and Saturday are RESERVATION ONLY which many times are sold out before the place opens. Very limited open times and closed on Sundays. Staff/Services are fine. Clean establishment. Evey meal we have ordered in many visits has been excellently prepared. VEAL PARM is our goto dish.

We've been going here for years, it's a spot that's always on our short list of best spots to eat...biggest problem is that it's up in Hopkinsville and very easily forgotten about. But don't let that stop you from checking them out. Before you go you have to check the hours. We went on a Tuesday night, a night that the other location at Novadell was closed and I think that created a frenzy of people who wanted to eat here, the place is not big and it's not staffed with a high volume of employees, so that's a downside. We arrived and were told it would be a 10-15 minute wait but that changed due to some of the issues that I mentioned before. HOWEVER - The food is absolutely delicious!!! So very, very, very good. My wife ordered the Pollo Alla Parmigiana (Chicken Parmesan) and I ordered the Shrimp Capellini Toscana. We always start off with the bread and oil appetizer, which is normally fantastic, but this time they didn't have a chance to make their normal bread...so it wasn't as good. Everything about our food was great. From the house made sauce to the fresh flavors in the meals. Really good food comes out of this kitchen. Stop in, order a meal, and see for yourself!

Food was fantastic, truly authentic Italian food. Service was abysmal; it took 2 hours to give our party their food, and they were out of half the menu. We even had reservations. Also, they have no bartender, so you can't order even the simplest of cocktails. However, our waitress, Ashley, was attentive and honest about the shockingly bad service from the kitchen.

Fine Dining in a comfortable atmosphere. There are only about a dozen tables (also a secluded group area) so some times they get busy. Reservations are sometimes needed but the reduced seating allows for a more personal experience. A lot of times, I get my food to-go if Im by myself. Eat in or at home, the large servings and high quality traditional Italian food is delicious and well worth the price (a meal at McDs is $8-$10 now so $15-20 for made-to-order, excellant Italian dinner isnt too bad). A piece of housemade bread comes with each meal but we always order a basket as an app with dipping oil. The dinner salad is the perfect size if you dont want to fill up before the main meal. I love their house made Zuppa D'Aglio. It has a rich garlic flavor but I usually save that for winter weather. My husband always loved the Portabella Mushroom Ravioli. I always get the Capellini Tuscana (similar to Puttanesca). With the kalamata olives, capers, artichoke hearts, and a pat of butter on top, its so flavorful. I keep thinking Im gna try something else but I dont. For dessert, Ive gotten the Tiramisu before but the Limoncello Mascarpone Cake is my favorite. Its so decadent and creamy.

Food was good, though slightly expensive. Waiters and waitresses dress VERY casually for a 'fine-dining' experience. Went during the very late summer, and the waiters were wearing shorts and t-shirts, while the waitress had her stomach exposed. Have not gone back since then, and probably never will (shame seeing as this is the only Italian restaurant in town). The servers at less "upscale" restaurants dress with far more etiquette.

I've been there four times now and every time I do, it's the best I've ever had. The food is incredible. The portions are generous. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The decorations are lovely. And the staff are SO nice! The most recent time I went was for my anniversary, but plot twist! My husband is deployed. So I was really just expecting to sit by myself, play on my phone, and eat some amazing food. They sat me at the bar so that there would always be someone right there and I wouldn't ever be lonely. It was just a little gesture that made the night still feel really special.

The food was great, the service is horrendous. They never answer the phone, but if you manage to get a reservation, you still end up waiting forever. Once seated, expect it to take enough time that you could have gone grocery shopping, prepped & cooked the meal yourself, & done your dishes, before they even bring you your food. It took them 30mins to get our drinks & close to two more hours to then receive our food. Now if you don’t manage to get a reservation, they will always tell you they’re back up they won’t be able to seat you for a 1-2 hour wait. If you agree to this, they suddenly change the story to be that they just can’t fit you in. Overall, don’t go on a weekend, & if possible, just place a call in on a weekday to pick up & eat at home.

When we got there they had just opened. They asked if we had reservations. Said no. They looked like they would not be able to accommodate us. They then took us to a table. The entire time we were there only 2 other diners came in. Which made me wonder what the issue with a reservation was... Ordered bread and oil. Never got it. Never saw the server till our food came. Food was ok. Nothing fabulous.
