Great food and service. Prices above average but it’s definitely an above average restaurant. I had the Molcajete, and I do recommend it. It was served in a very hot stone bowl that kept the food hot throughout my meal. I like it with my rice, beans, and salsa mixed in. Large meal probably big enough for two normal appetites, but my appetite is not normal lol. Good food and plenty of it!

We stayed overnight at the Hilton hotel next door and gave this restaurant a try... the sopes are AMAZING. Try them! Imagine an even better taco salad. I had one chorizo and two al pastor. **tip - ask for a spicy salsa, if you like that, because that salsa is what took the sopes to the next level. I wish I could take some of that home. My husband loved the chimichanga, and of course, the agua de horchata is a must also. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. My only thing to the staff... people can understand Spanish lol I'll leave it at that. **tip - if you are staying at the Hilton next door, if you show your room card, you get 10% off your meal!

Our waitor Hora is fast on point nice I mean the damn food was just flavorful hats off to the Chefs doing their thing in that kitchen!! I love this place I will be back for sure and I’m not even a resident of Hopkinsville. They have phenomenal customer service..

I really love this restaurant, and I've been here over 50 times, and the only thing I can say needs to improve is the chips. The last two times I've been, the chips Were stell. My waiter brought them back three times before they were correct. By that time, the food was out. The customer service has always been excellent, and I will continue to return for that reason.

Great food and service. Mario is the best server. Also, was not packed at all during the day. Salsa was really good, but cheese dip could've been a bigger portion size.

This place is a gem in the rough, even though the power went out the waiter kept the food rolling. The tamales were bomb, the salsa was spot on and the beans were bomb , if you get my drift.

Super delicious, minus my dry chicken. That's why only 4 stars. Everything else was in point.

They always get the food to your table quickly during lunch which is when I'm usually there. The food is good and the service is usually great. On this occasion, I had to go up front to get my ticket which is rare. Maybe my server went on break. It was a minor inconvenience and I'll definitely go back.

After taking our order we waited 35min. after seeing people who had only been there 10min receive there order we asked. After another 10 min our order arrived with no explanation or apology. The enchiladas were nothing but shredded tasteless chicken with a little bit of sauce poured on each one. My husband said his taco salad was very basic and dry. He took the salsa for the chips and poured it into his salad just to add some taste. I had ice tea and he had water. Never asked if we needed refills.

They set the atmosphere very well here and the food was wonderful for a reasonable price. We had dinner here recently with a party of 6. It was very busy so the staff was stretched thin. The got to us quickly enough and took our drink order too but for whatever reason did not serve our drinks for awhile after we received our food. I suspect that due to the very busy dinner rush, they simply overlooked or believed they served our drinks already. Other than that, they were very accommodating, refiling our chip and salsa promptly and made sure our orders were accurate. Overall I'd say it was a reasonably good experience.

This was my second visit here this month. The first visit the service was so slow that my lunch date. She never received her food as I was eating mine. I figured I would give them one more try. This visit our heavy set waitress was not friendly nor attentive. We sat for 10 minutes before she asked what we were drinking. I told her and she brought out all wrong drinks. I asked for another bowl of salsa because there were 3 of us (she rolled her eyes). We never received that nor the chance to order food. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all not many customers at all. We left (never ordering) I spoke to the manager he wanted to fix it. Her whole vibe turned me completely off so I declined his offer to help but needed to make him aware. Never again.

They always have good food. We get the fajitas for two and typically have enough to take home for the next day. Their cheese dip and red salsa for the chips is great as well compared to other local Mexican restaurants.

I really enjoy their chimichangas and chicken dishes. I just wish they were on doordash for delivery. My spouse sometimes can't pick up food with his work schedule.

12/30/22 - First time trying this restaurant, visiting from WA State. We wanted Nachos, so we ordered the Nachos Machos. The chips seemed stale and the rest of the nachos were almost ok. Based on the nachos, we would not go again and would not recommend this restaurant to others. My wife got a margarita and she said it was very basic. The entire experience was disappointing.

I first noticed the service. Chips and salsa, beverages, chips and salsa refill, or order taken, beverage refill... our waiter was excellent. So was the food. My wife loved the chimichanga (chicken). I had never tried sopes before and thought I would try something different. I had them with chopped steak and they were very good. Two meals and drinks--and plenty of chips and salsa--for about $25. It was a good deal and an enjoyable night.

I like El Bracero and the food is about a 7 out of 10. Sometimes their portions are small for the price or if you order something that includes meat and vegetables like the fajitas, at times you can be overloaded with peppers and onions and little meat. The cheese sauce is just ok to me, I have had better. The salsa is great to me and I prefer it to other Mexican restaurants in town. The service is lacking in a major way. Your server does not engage with you at all. Maybe it's because of the language barrier but it's really just, take your order, bring your food, fill your drink. No engagement about how the food tastes, would you like desert or Margaritas, no conversation at all. Not friendly or personable is what I guess I'm trying to say. Don't get me wrong, some people love that kind of service or lack there of, but it leaves me conflicted when it comes time for the tip.

Friends invited us out, and this was one of the best Mexican restaurants that we've been too. It was also my service dog in training's first time in a real restaurant, and they treated him kindly. Would definitely go back if the chance arises.

El Bracero is hands down one of the best Mexican Restaurants I have ever been to. I travel continuously for work and have been all over the country, El Bracero takes the cake, and eats it too. The Fajitas Mexicanas were absolutely to-die-for and their service is FAST. I had an on-the-rocks lime margarita with a splash of Don Julio and it was only $9 for a JUMBO. There is no doubt in my mind, El Bracero is the best Mexican Restaurant you're going to find this side of the border.

Rating: Kudos! Chips and salsa were hands down the best I've experienced. The chips were crispy and fresh, the salsa spicey and flavorful. I ordered the chicken and white cheese over a bed of rice. Our server, "Vee", was outstanding. She had a quick wit and kept our drinks topped off. My friends and I truly enjoyed ourselves and had a great evening.

The food was very good. The place could do with more than just surface cleaning, though. Like, the tops of every chair had that layer of grime that occurs after years of hands grabbing those same spots. The outside of the building has a lot of character. The inside was very modestly decorated, at least the time I went.

My hubby had the chicken & shrimp nachos. He enjoyed it! I enjoyed the chicken fajitas. The female bathroom needs to be attended to. The lock can't even latch in the bathroom. Toilet seat almost fell off. We will definitely come back & try something else on the menu! :)

I ordered a huge grande chicken burrito and I’ve got to say it was one of the best burrito‘s I’ve had in a long time. It must’ve been 12 inches long and stuffed with chicken and other ingredients and topped with queso. The chicken had a very tasty seasoning added to it which added to the flavor and it was cut into very small pieces and every bite was delicious. Actually I liked their salsa as well. It had chunks of tomatoes and chili peppers and garlic and it wasn’t watery like many other salsas. It was not spicy hot I’d say somewhere between mild and medium. My friend had a vegetarian dish which she also thought was outstanding. Service was on par with the food.

Just make sure if you give a cash tip that you scribble out the tip line on the receipt. Tipped $20 on a $91 ticket, but the server took another twenty. I like to tip high, but our server wasn't good at all, and definitely not worth a $40 tip. In a party of 6, my 6 year old was the last to get his food, and it was only because we asked. Forgot our order multiple times. It wasn't a good experience.

The service is prompt. The chimichanga was meaty, very tasty. The fajita quesadilla also delicious. Atmosphere is relatively quiet so people can chat while dining.

The sirloin steak is better than horseshoe, it's seasoned and cooked perfectly, the mixed vegetables weren't mushy or over cooked and the Taco salads are great too, especially when the meat is fresh. I love erthang about it

This place is TOP-NOTCH!!! Lightning fast service, seated our large party very quickly. Brought out food as it was hot, refilled drinks when half empty. Food was great too.. A+++++
