They have most of the medicines that you can't find from anywhere else. Other medical related equipments and also available. Crowdy for most of the time. Therefore you may have to wait in a que. Customer service is average. Parking is difficult since no space available except for 2 wheelers.

Nostalgic place. First time I've visited their place of business seeking a medicine that wasn't available with any other pharmacy due to shortage of supplies (thanks Rajapaksas). Union Chemists has a friendly and helpful staff base, I visited the Kalubowila branch first and was immediately directed to Union place after the pharmacist called and confirmed availability of the medication. Snooping around the store, the vast availability of medical supplies and modern heath care aids are plentiful. Would always recommend your business to everyone I know.

Well known pharmacy chain but their service sucks. Most of the time i go for this pharmacy if it hard to find drug. Otherwise not worthy spending around 20mins to get generally available drug. Their service have several pain points for customers not only the delay. Please give them improve suggestions one you experience bad service. Hope for better improved service

Once I called them to ask them availability of tracheostomy tube. The reception was acting like its something alien. She couldn’t even pronounce it back. She said me to hold on and I could hear she asking someone else whether they have thrac... something. Seriously she don’t know even how to pronounce it. She kept me waiting few minutes and silently disconnected the line without saying a word. I tried to call back but they never answered. Phew.. my worst experience with a pharmacy. Very very unprofessional.

Clean place. And also a somewhat busy place. But they try to provide quick service to their customers. There are many products with them and those products are between medium to highest prices. Mostly they deal with their customers friendly, but some times their customer services are very awful.

Place deserves full 5 stars but not giving because of the person at reception. People come here with prescriptions. Why act like everyone comes seeking some illicit substance? How many abusable drugs are you selling exactly? If someone asks a question just tell yes or no without acting with so much prejudice when the drug isn't even a controlled substance. You don't need to act friendly but act professionall.

Took more than one and half hours ready to medications and finally said only one item was available out of 5. There were token system but it doesnt work properly. Poor customer service, dont have enough staff to handle the crowd.

Oldest pharmacy in town, but as well the oldest procedures. Some 5 people will be involved to make a simple purchase. Bring 30 min. to do a purchase.

Union chemists kalubowila branch: Very bad customer service. There was a saleswoman called Nilmini who yelled at a customer just bcz she had to go and search for the second time to get what the customer wanted. Something like this was not expected from a place like this. Very rude and disgusting

Extremely disappointed with the service. They took more than half and hour to give the medicine apart from that they have given the wrong medicine which is not in the prescription. Later they gave us a return bill and we got the medicine. After come home checked the medications, they haven't put one medicine which they have charged even my prescription also they didn't give. Call them and complained. They are telling to wait a day. Will see. Veryyy bad 👎 never going again

This is my first visit to this pharmacy and it's really bad experience that they refuced to give me a bill what I have paid for a medicine worth 2047/= since the prescription was 30 days old.I requested atleast to take a photo of the bill ,They refuced it too.I am really disappointed on your service.Worst customer service.Please replace a new young pleasant lady to the Drugs issue counter,final counter instead of an old lady who doesn't know even how to greet to a customer.

V poor service. Sent them a message on Whatsapp to check availability of a medicine and had to call them more than 10 times to get a reply. What's the point of having a website and WhatsApp number if you don't respond.

Have been buying medicine from them for over 20 years at castle street. Recently bought drugs in bulk for a family organised donation from union place and the staff was really helpful. I only had to call and get details and place the order. Mr. Manoj was very helpful to provide all the information in detail and quotations. He did a great job to make the process go smoothly from start to end. Even the pick up of the drugs was arranged hassle- free without wasting the time by handing me over the goods at the promised date and time. Even the staff at the information counter and handing over counter were very helpful. Keep up the good work. Thank you for the support . Overall happy customer!!

They have telephone lined for all of their brances. Non of them answer your calls. No one from far away places looking for scarce drugs cannot get to know the availability of them. They should either amend the phone numbers shown in Google or google should find tge correct or attentive phone numbers

Some staff are friendly others are I guess just too busy to be polite or smile. ⚠️ Check the brand and type of medicine, ask before you order, sometimes they give a different brand which might cost more. 🅿️❌Biggest drawback is parking. There is no dedicated parking. Roadside parking is very restricted and you might be fined. It's quite sad to see over the years Union chemist management has made no efforts to solve the parking problem. I guess they know people will come no matter what to buy their meds, the day they get a good competitor then they will regret and realize their mistake 😑

I went to their branch in Castle Road, Rajagiriya. I wanted to get some medicine prepared. They, told that it would take around one hour for that which I usually get done by Union Place branch within around 30 minutes. Then I paid for it and ask them to make it ready in the evening of next day. When i came to collect it in the evening the medicine was stii not prepared. They asked me to wait some time to prepare it. They wasted my time. Poor Service.

Very poor service at the Kalubowila branch. They wanted 4 hours to do a preparation of ointment where other chemists take only 20 minutes Reason given was too much customers to be served. To my surprise there were only 3. Although one person stated that it will take one hour the other insisted for 4 hours Over to you Management of Union chemists

(Even though this is The place to buy possibly most of the medicine in Sri Lanka, you may feel such a waste of time to collect medicine, especially in the evening. I think they have not identified their demand and most of the customers are unhappy with the service in the evening. usage of speakers to call token numbers with digital display( which is not available at the moment) shall be effective since there are three billing points. Customer service is very poor. most of the workers who deal with the customers are tempered with their own work. One of the biggest pharmacy's in the country who stocks the most number of brands and drugs. Best place to look for a drug if you find it hard to find it elsewhere. However, it's not the best organised from service perspective. There's a counter to submit your prescription, multiple counters to talk to you about the availability of drugs and give you a receipt, one counter for payment and one for disbursement. But the layout and the service at each counter makes it a terrible experience. Also, there's no designated parking. You either have to park by the road or at someone else's car park.

Visited there to buy a stethoscope and met a nice lady who explained features of each and every stethoscope. She didn't force us to buy the one that they want but helped find the most suitable one for our needs and the budget. This is a well reputedly firm and I can highly recommend to buy the all medical equipment. They also have a small food court inside the pharmacy. You can have a seat until they process you order as well. Not too crowded last time I visited.

Went to buy AAA alkaline battery for my father's heart pacemaker. There was a lady in the staff helped me to find the very same battery. And the Customer service is quick and they follow the health regulations ordered by the government due to COVID 19. I only waited there for five minutes and bought the product.

Reliable products but be careful when ordering online products from them. Takes a long time to deliver even to areas around colombo and they use a courier service called FARDAR Express which is one of the worse courier services in the country. These people have no care for your product and won’t deliver your package at a time convenient to you. You will be better off visiting them and buying the desired product. Also the call center agents are very unsupportive and rude. Very unfortunate that these well known companies have no regard for their customers.

Very dissatisfied with a call I made to this pharmacy. Apparently, I'd called before, asking if a particular cream was available - at the time, I was unaware of this. The lady answering the phone didn't bother to ask if I'd called earlier, and simply lashed out - "NAA Miss api gaawa naa!", while laughing at the same time. Mrs. Hettiarachchi is the most helpful out of the lot. She went the extra mile by least calling the other branches to see if they have the medicine I need. Whereas the rest of staff who probably would be half of Mrs. Hettiarachchi's age really need to get their act togeather to be more customer orientated. So if you need to get your work done, just ask Mrs. Hettiarachchi and she will sort it out.

Such a worst pharmacy which i everbeen experienced. Lazy management with worthless peoples. I bouggt beurer facial vapourizer with amount of aprox 9000 rupees on 08/11/2019 and while on its first day it got melted and i returned the product. Its been more than 3 months and i didnt get any respond from those persons. I am visiting every week to that pharmacy and they just never care about our money and value. Very worst hospitality and they are the one who are very advance in stealing people money... with different unconquerable ways... shame on you... i am sure i will file a case in consumer court with thier bill and i wont bare those persons. Non sense explanations and useless people in work.
