Few exhibits mostly based on emerging AI technology, many interactive screens for young minds, not worth of spending 9€ as an entry fee
“Mission AI” at the Deutsches Museum Bonn – The Future at Your Fingertips 🚀 I recently had the opportunity to explore the exhibition “Mission AI” during a professional conference on artificial intelligence — and wow, does it hit the pulse of our time. Modern, interactive, and impressively curated, it takes you right into the fascinating world of Artificial Intelligence. AI isn’t just explained here — it’s made visible, tangible, and truly experiential. How does it work? Where does it already shape our everyday lives? And how far has the technology come? All of this is presented in a smart, accessible, and engaging way. It’s absolutely family-friendly, too: great for curious kids and adults alike. A special highlight: the humanoid robots. It’s stunning how lifelike they already appear — a quick glimpse into a future that feels both thrilling and a little surreal. What really rounds out the visit is the exceptionally friendly and passionate staff. You can feel how much they enjoy what they do. They love to explain, answer questions, and make learning fun and approachable for everyone.
Great displays, interactive with a strong focus on technology, lots for kids to see and do. Parking situation is fine on non-busy days.
A nice little technology museum focusing on AI and robots. Was fun for everyone, from a software engineer like me to 2 and 3 yo kids.
very nice museum focused on artificial intelligence. Great experience for families with kids
It is great for kids and for those interested in chemistry and inventions. It was interesting for me also, but I enjoy other museums more
An interactive museum, excellent for kids and adults who are into AI and evolution of technology in relation to our environment.
Wow. This museum was AMAZING. When I first arrived, I was kind of disappointed because everything is in German, and you don’t see English anywhere. But as I went through the museum, not only did I find a few places that were in English, but every staff member was able to explain things in English and they were so helpful. My kids absolutely loved it. We sat through the Robo dog presentation in German and when it was over and they knew we didn’t speak English, they offered to do the whole thing again in English for us! Now, we came on a day that wasn’t very busy so maybe that contributed to all the attention we got. But still, it was amazing. We were there for about 2 1/2 hours, and honestly if I didn’t need lunch, I could’ve easily been there for another hour.
A passion for science and innovation - for every age. Highlight of this museum are the expertly informed staff members that will casually start a discussion about certain pieces in the exhibit or explain the larger context of said installations. The installations are mostly interactive, meaning you can experience how an AI observes Changes in its imaging path or how gravity pulls objects down on on various paths. I don’t want to take away any more of the many experiments - try them for yourself 💪
A nice, but small museum that has interesting items and explains about technology and science. Most texts are translated in English, but the interactive stuff are in German. Kids wouldn't probably enjoy it, and if you are visiting bonn for a short time, i wouldn't recommend it.
I’ve always liked science ant technology and here there is some for every age group.
It's scandalous how little there is to do inside. Literally everything is themed around AI, including questionable uses of said technology that thread the line of copyright law and threatens the livelihood of artists. As a graduated historian, I am shocked. I wanted to see the previous exhibition that apparently has been completely removed. This degree of cultural barbarity, especially coming from an institution like the Deutsches Museum, is very, very shocking to witness. Very disappointing. Give it a big miss, even with children.
Really friendly staff with some interesting exhibits that kept the kids very entertained
