In this day and age where space is a premium, this property stands apart with even the standard room being extremely spacious. It is not a brand new property, but has aged gracefully. However it has all the expected creature comforts like Netflix casting on the TV, good Wifi, etc. The staff are extremely forthcoming and helping. I would definitely stay here if I come to Horsens again.

We stayed in this hotel, because Harry Styles had his concert in the near by arena and I must say, it was one of the best concert related stays I've ever had. The receptionists were friendly, the rooms were super quiet and we had a nice view. The breakfast was amazing- they have a waffle maker and that's basically all I need to be happy in the morning. There were only a couple of little things wrong during our stay. First of them was the hot tea watter during breakfast. It wasn't a normal hot water, instead it smelled and tasted like used coffee water. Hopefully they will notice and fix that soon. Also there's no fridge in the room and only like 3 hangers in the closet. But as I've mentioned earlier, these are all details... :) Sobif you're looking for a nice quiet place to spend the weekend, you can't go wrong with this hotel. 10/10 from me :)

Nice room. Nice to stay when attending an event at Fængslet. Don't come for the sandwiches though! DKK 85 for the world's worst sandwich.

Hotel Opus is a true Gem of Horsens! The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Their breakfast was incredible! The fresh baked bread (at least five different types!) and their hot chocolate were great. Their restaurant is top-notch, and their Rib Eye steak being perfectly seasoned ! !

Staff super friendly - experience some of that Danish hospitality. Room was big and spacious. Lots of TV channels. Double sinks and an adequate toilet. In information folder was very through and well made. But missing maybe some very general info of the spa. (Lockers, towels etc.) Ever in the city this could be a place to consider. The spa is missing an actual spa (some water area for my taste) but can very well be considered "wellness". The sign and guidance could easily be improved for the better to go there though. (And the locker needs a 10 kr. Coin to be functional.) Else you can't lock it. This could be handed out upon checking in, just a dummy coin or two which the guest could use. As the lockers are free but just need a coin.)

Very good hotel and a surprise compared to standard Danish business hotels. Nice spa part open for hotel guests free of charge. Even though sauna is not on all the time it gets warm quickly so you should get into time calculation additional half an hour just in case there was no one before you there. Breakfast is decent and modest, like usually in this part of the world. Lot of souvenirs to buy with attractive prices as well.

Hotel Opus was a wonderful hotel with friendly, helpful staff 10 years ago, and still is to this day. Their restaurant is also a very worthwhile experience. We'll try not to let 10 years pass before returning next time.

Located on a main road but with a quiet and understated ambience. Rooms were pretty big with style and nice decor. Nice Danish neighborhood at the rear of the hotrl.

Very nice room with plenty of space, a small couch, a desk and chair and a nice set of beds. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and were pleased with both. The hotel has a great view over the lake and there's a path around the lake which is great for walking or a run.

Immaculate rooms, perfect service and a great breakfast. Each room at the back appeared to have a small balcony of its own with good views over the surrounding landscape. The balcony was a fun place to drink tea/coffee and have an evening snack.

Hotel in dire need of a renovation. Rooms are old and just in need of a thorough sprucing up. It is a business hotel and used by Danes as a hotel to break up a long car journey. Will not recommend it for anything else and even for that purpose I suggest you keep looking. Pros: chromecast in the room, but this seems to be standard in Denmark. Big free parking in front of the hotel. Waffle station at breakfast. Cons: old carpet in the rooms, feels really worn out. No fridges in the room. No bath. In one of the 2 rooms we booked there was no hot water in the shower due to the faucet being old/broken. (Offered to be moved to different room after complaining at reception but as this is a hotel you usually only stay one night, this really should not happen). The room where you have breakfast feels like you are in the canteen. Carpet in the breakfast area is torn in places and dirty. The “hot” food (eggs etc.) from the breakfast bar was cold. For dog owners: dogs not allowed in the breakfast room.
