Waited 1 hr for the meats. Me and my partner had to eat mushroom and cheese tofu to satisfy our hunger. We sent alot of orders on our phone thru the QR code, but some came, some didn't. Please improve your system. And don't bring in customers when you can't handle. Rowena wow the manager is super rude and impatient. Never seen a manager so rude in a long while. Don't work service line la, go out be gangster.

Visited the restaurant during dinner time. Although there is a crowd, there are still seats available. The soups chosen were butaniku and sukiyaki. The service staff of the restaurant is good as even though the restaurant seems to be busy, they are still able to fulfil the orders. The ambience of the place is quite good too, it is conducive for a catch up with friends.

As someone who have 7 to 8 years of F&B experience, I went to Suki-ya heartland mall to have my lunch. The lady manager, Rowena is very helpful and attentive. The food was delicious especially the variety of meat however a lot of options during my meal was either unavailable or out of stock. The staff there was unprofessional and lack of proper customer service despite charging customer service fee. Especially the uncle who was rude towards Rowena and when he was clearing my table he didn't know which items to be cleared or not and he almost clear the ice-cream that I was enjoying. Wearing casual doesn't mean I have no money and ordering a lot doesn't mean I can't finish all food. 5 stars for the food and manager but the staff there disappointed my overall experience.

Made a reservation at 7 pm and wasn't late for the reservation yet only got served at around 7.10 pm cause the staffs are busy, if you do know that you are badly understaffed for the day you can hire more people since our reservation was technically made a few days before. Oh yes best part another customer went straight to the staff to tell the staff that they made a reservation. Please take note of the queueing system! If there’s a reservation Q please state, if there’s a walk-in Q please state as simple as that! I am not here to deal with rude people just here to eat!

Generally a big fan of Sukiya, but i DO NOT recommend going for the wagyu option. Major disappointment. Its basically fats without any sign of meat. Tried multiple plates and its all the same. Would have given 1 star if not for being a supporter of the chain.

After sit for 10mins then been told to clear the table in 20 mins for a buffet. Google map showing shop close at 10:30 and we were asked by an Indian cashier to pay at 9:10 and leave at 9:30. Ridicules.

Malar and team were attentive and efficient :) promptly cleared all the used dishes and refilled our meat upon request! a pretty wide array of dishes available and all of them were quite fresh! However, there wasn’t as many drink options as i hope there would be but that’s okay because there’s soup. overall, good food and service!

Super yummy food and they improved! Now they have fried rice, takoyaki, Japanese curry and fried sweet potato… rlly good! Also the manager, Malar was helpful when ordering food and helped us to separate the pork and beef. Also told us about the promotion, bring 3 friends to get 1 free meal!

When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by this waiter by the name of Kieron. Kieron recommended us the premium buffet set which served one of the best wagyu beef, he is very helpful and friendly. The food is amazing and tasty. It is our first time here and all the waiters are very kind and nice, they serve food quickly and we dont have to wait disbite the restruant is very crowded. The price is worth the food. Thumbs up for the waiter Kieron

This outlet is newly opened and I was eager to give it a try after reading a positive review of it by a friend. Went there for dinner with my kids at around 5.15pm, as it was early, there wasn't any crowd yet and it was easy to find a table. To dine in, you will place your order using a QR code found at the table and the electronic kiosks are for takeaway orders only. There are many dons available, beef, chicken, unagi, japanese curry etc with different toppings. You can order them in different sizes and the differences are explained on the menu be it differing in amount of rice or the protein or both. This is really clever, both my boys needed more meat and rice so they have gotten the bigger bowls and I got medium as I can't usually finish the rice. We paid a little more to get the sets, either chicken karaage set, or veggie or salad sets, each comes with a drink or miso soup. I also added an egg for $1.20, which is pretty reasonable. I like my kimchi gyudon, I thought the beef was nicely stir fried and well flavoured. There is this little bottle of shredded red ginger by the side of the table, adding a little to the rice makes it perfect! Noticed the crowd coming in as we were leaving, thus come slightly just before the peak dinner hours if you like it more quiet. I polished up every grain of rice in the bowl lol and yes, I like it and would like to come back to try the other items on the menu!

Chance upon the lunch deal yesterday and what really encouraged us to step into Suki-ya was the warm welcome from outlet manager, Rowena and her team mate Sheryn....2 out of 5 of us are on meatless/ vegetarian diet, and they accommodated readily to our dietary needs and even constantly checked on us if we're all good. Being on a meatless/vegetarian diet, i never really explored food options like that as there's no tranparency on the soup base content. But Rowena ensured that we had our Kimchi soup freshly boiled without chicken stock to accommodate to our needs. Very very good service from Rowena and her team mates!! 👍🏼👏🏼 Will definitely be back again!

To Malar and the team, thanks for the good customer service.. We enjoyed the food and lots of options from soup, meat, seafoods, vegetables, side dishes, drinks and desserts. Good ambiance and accommodating staff. We love and recommend #SUKI-YA 💗👍👍👍

Service was excellent! staff asked for what soup base we had and left! I guess she was just curious? Only time she came back was with a bill, stating that it was the last order without taking the last order! How wonderful! wish i could spend more time with the staff!!! but it seems like they were ushering us to the exits.

Malar!!! We love her!!! She attended to us and she’s the nicest :) This sukiya is like a hidden gem, fresh food, good service, not too crowded as well. Had such a good time with my friends, will definitely come back (also this milk pudding is so dope, everyone has to try it) 💯💯💯

Had a fantastic dinner with my parents here. Food was fresh, servers were attentive, drinks included with the meal (no need spend extra) and there was even cooked food available. The restaurant manager Rowena was very accommodating and helpful towards us and her hospitality made my day. Will definitely return for similar experiences.

Today I dine in at Sukiya Kovan served by Malar and the team they are the best service people I’ve seen because out of all you can eat places I’ve been they’ve been the most energetic and friendly people they will come up to you and assist you if you need help or just come straight to you to ask. The food is delicious even though some soups are not what we expect but it fills up our tummy fully, don’t take to much food because you only take the portion that you need, take a bit by bit because it won’t run out even if they run out there are more food to eat. The meat here are super fresh 100% recommended I will surely recommend Sukiya Kovan to all my family and friends. Thanks !!! 😻🤩

Great value for money shabu shabu with a wide variety of ingredients. Awesome hospitality from the team and a lot of attention were given to us during our dine-in. As we were one of the last few tables left before closing, the staff would check with us if theres anything we would like before they kept the items and even served it to our table. Awesome food and service! Will be back again 😇

I recently had the pleasure of trying the yema cake at Sukiya Kovan, and I must say, it was an absolute delight for my taste buds! The moistness of the cake was beyond compare, with each bite offering a luscious and tender sensation. The texture was simply heavenly, perfectly balanced between soft and light, making it incredibly enjoyable to savor. The yema frosting on top was rich and creamy, adding a delectable sweetness that complemented the cake beautifully. If you're a fan of moist and textured desserts, Sukiya Kovan's yema cake is a must-try. You won't be disappointed!

This is the first time my family and I have dined at this restaurant. I felt the enthusiasm of the waiter as soon as I entered the door. They cleaned the dishes in a timely manner and helped us serve the dishes. The deepest impression is “Kieron” and I hope to see him again next time. My family is extremely satisfied with his service.

Place is a bit old but a very convenient location. Staff Malar got us seated very quickly and soup and meats were served for us to start our lunch! Empty plates and meat boxes were cleared away promptly to keep table less cluttered. Happy eating here. Will visit again

Since I moved to kovan, this restaurant has become my favorite. The consumption is about 23-30$ including tax, and as the quality of the food, I can say is highest I have eaten in Singapore with this price. I am about to move elsewhere and am so grateful for the happy memories this restaurant brings me.

Haven't dined at the Kovan Suki-Ya branch for awhile because my previous experiences had been less than ideal. Was pleasantly surprised by the promptness and initiatives of the staffs for this visit. Was served by a friendly and lovely lady, Malar. Will definitely come back again.

Went for Suki-Ya dinner on Sunday evening @ Heartland Mall. Staff was attentive and polite. Price was reasonable with a decent variety of food. However the place is abit run-down due to broken display tiles and spoilt seats. Overall, it was still a pleasant experience 👍

  • 5/5 Sherman T. 10 months ago on Google
Suki-Ya is one of our favorite go-to hotpot restaurants. The food variety is decent. They have a good selection of meat, like pork, chicken, and beef. The quality of the food is good, and the price includes free-flow soft drinks and beverages. One thing that could be better is the aircon could be stronger. Many will be perspiring through the meal. Other than this, we had a good dining experience there.

Highly recommended ! If you're looking for a budget meal price for a lunch & dinner eat all you can buffet , Suki-ya is one of the good places to go. I would like to give commendation for the staff crew, including their lady Manager who were very accommodating to us & help serve the birthday cake. Thanks a lot guys & keep up the good work 😃👌👍

Service staffs really try their best but honestly the company should review their quality control. Don't ever top up $10.90 for their premium meat. The wagyu meat is literally layers of fat hardly any meat. In the end I had to resort to eating the regular beef. Wagyu is about fat marbling not layers of fat. Felt like being scammed. Honestly for this price point, nobody is going to expect high range wagyu but come on, serve some decent beef at least. Staff managed to find 1 portion of decent wagyu for me. Kudos to their staff as I wasn't the only one with feedback on bad quality of meat. Even the regular beef short plate is atrocious 20% meat 80% fat. Didn't even bother ordering. See photo and decide for yourselves.
