Good morning! I'm writing this laying in the hotel bed, after a failed trip downstairs for coffee. The nice folks at the desk said you have to buy coffee from them bistro. What kind of Marriott doesn't have free coffee, (especially for the not-really-low price they charge for rooms)? The room coffee machine is one of those terrible ones with the flimsy plastic tray, usually found in notel motels. I haven't seen them in years. We're driving to find coffee somewhere else. No amount of amenities in a hotel is worth the blatant $$ grab for something you are captive for in a hotel, and is usually part of the unwritten hotel and patron custom... And something easily found at even more modest hotels...a decent cup of complimentary coffee.

Great hotel in an excellent part of town. Easy access to everything. Service was great. Bar made for a nice nightcap. Rooms big and clean. Good breakfast (not free). Friendly and helpful staff.

Rooms are clean and quite, staff are accommodating and kind, the bistro bar is great for sharing a beer with co-workers at the end of the day. The breakfast and dinner options are greatly improved, thank you for listening. The bed in the room I stayed in was comfortable on one side. It was a big wallowed out on the other side. Not sure what happened there but the mattress may need to be maintained in some way.

Facility is nice, but heavy smoking by guests and staff in the pool area ruined a space that otherwise was very nice. Only one elevator, and it’s painfully slow. Rooms and desk staff were great. The ladies working the coffee bar were efficient, but seemed like they probably aren’t treated well by guests, they appeared pretty unhappy.

Great location to stay of you are attending an event at the nearby convention hall. The staff here have always been very friendly and accommodating. Washer and dryer available on the second floor. Full bar. Starbucks coffee and light bites available.

Slumber party with young girls blasting inappropriate music, screaming, jumping, the floor was shaking, hanging out in the hall outside or door, running around the hotel in their little white pj's shorts. Had to blare our music to down them out. Not too thrilled.

Awful. We called twice for towels, coffee trash pick up and no one answered or ever came. I got the we are short staffed balony. And you pay for morning coffee. We had to go to lobby for our own supplies. Never again

Very clean. Great, personable staff. The king room with desk is very spacious with a sleeper sofa, coffee bar with microwave and refrigerator. There are two very large tvs; one in couch sitting area and one in bedroom area. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo. The makeup mirror was nice. Lots of plugs for charging but no USB outlets.

Stayed over the weekend, and the room was very nice and spacious. Front desk was very friendly and welcoming. Hotel was very clean. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel bistro and it was delicious. Pool area was very spacious, but we didn't get to use the pool. The parking lot was large and had a lot of lighting.

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Pool was great and room was wonderful. Can't wait to stay here again when in Houma

We definitely enjoyed our stay for Rougarou. It definitely would be nice if you would update on the app or webpage like other hotels and inform guests that your indoor pool is closed.

I didn't actually stay here but I do love the live palm trees they got in the outside pool area and a decent concrete skate park just across the street next to a library. My dream local vacation destination!

I booked a room with a king bed and a balcony, I received a room with double queen beds and no balcony. For 3 nights there was loud conversation in the adjoining room which was much better than the last night when there was a drunken party. The room was dark - they are trying to save money using low power bulbs. The shower was never hot enough. I only got internet service to work briefly for 1 night out of 4. I asked the front desk for a dinner recommendation and was told there were numerous 'fast food' options. For the money I paid I would expect a much better experience.

September 2023. We returned The pool is reconditioned. The hotel is clean. Miss Autumn is a bright and vibrant staff at the moment of checking in. The toilet seat is still thin and flimsy The staff on shift that clean the hotel is awesome. Good job. We go out to eat breakfast. Way cheaper We are not Starbucks fans.cannit stand Starbucks. The hotel is a great property. A lot in the area We stay at Marriott as bonvoy guests. The hotel has so much going for it. The room decor and the lobby decor is wonderful. All the furniture is comfortable. The breakfast Cafe and the evening cocktail lounge and bistro Cafe are great. Now, the gritty. The thin and flimsy toilet seat shifts from side to side. We are thin and at medical weight. Each time we set upon the throne, any shift from a slight set would make the seat want to slip out over the porcelain ring of the throne. The jacuzzi has no means of turning the jets on. A clerk at the front desk told us it was a soaking hot tub. No way. There were guests there who went into the not so clean pool. They went in with socks and pants and shorts and shirts on. Like it might have been wash day. We did learn that some hurricane Ida holdovers were there for an extended FEMA stay. The other good bits now. The bistro Cafe is nice. Good breakfast at a fair price. We will stay again after the hotel gets a freshening up. Get the indoor pool fixed. I guess if the indoor pool had been fixed and open, wash day might gave happened indoors at that pool. 6 other hotels in the area are being repaired now. In Spring there will be relief. FEMA will expire. All will be restored. The Fairgield Inn is under renovations. Maybe there in a few months.

This place has a very professional, courteous responsive staff and they work hard and do a good job. The parking was ample and seemed well lit. The facility is very clean and tidy including the low number of functioning elevators. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Low water pressure in a cramped shower from wall to curtain makes for a less than satisfying experience for a large-ish person. The shower curtain was very short. TP seemed to be very cheap low quality single-ply type. The toilet seat was flimsy and slid from side to side off of the rim of the bowl. There are no USB charging points in the room I stayed in. The television was intermittent during rainy weather. There are very nicely kept-up leisure, work-out, and pool facilities. This property was good over-all and while it was not inexpensive it is not out of line price-wise with other similar hotels in Houma.

From the sales manager to the front desk to the room service to the cooks & cashier's, to the janitors. Everyone's hospitality makes staying here worth it. The rooms are clean. The hotel itself is one of the nicest for the price. In the front lobby, you even have individual round restaurant tables with your own tv which is awesome. They also have a bigger TV in a different area with 3 chaise lounge chairs and more seating to host a movie night with friends or jump on some Madder with your gamin system. The pool and hot tub is better than most hotels I've seen down here. Great experience.

I loved this hotel, even during a power outage when a storm/rainy weather came through - as expected from weather forecasts. From the time my colleagues and I checked-in, Front Desk staff were pleasant, patient and knowledgeable. The rooms were very nice, clean and loved the sanitary steps as well. Conveniently located to dining, shopping. Wish they had more entertainment options available w/in the city, but otherwise it was a pleasant experience. I give them 5 🌟!

Charged for smoking although they have ash trays with cigarettes on the balcony. Literally bought balcony to smoke on. I was charged almost $300 extra. I'm a Gold Elite & this is the absolute worse staff I've even encountered through out many stays all over the country. They also do not value their elite members. They still did not call me back with a reason to why they charged me. The manager was gone on weekends & it was the head house keeper that charged me. Did not smoke in the room & made sure the door was closed tight when I did Smoke.

The whole staff was very nice and accommodating!! They all went above and beyond from the General Manager (her 1st day at the Bistro haha) to Housekeeping was top notch service. This hotel has been in Mardi Gras mode for a week and you could never tell. Great job!!! You will see me again real soon!!!

I’ve stayed at this hotel for 14 days at a time for the last 3 months. The overall facility is nice and the staff are polite and courteous. If coming home to a hot shower is something you expect in a hotel, find another place. I’ve stayed in multiple rooms across all the floors and not once has there been consistent hot water to shower with. The 4th floor in particular, frequently has no water pressure as well. A phone call to the front desk will get the system reset if the clerk is familiar with the system. My coworkers and I have inquired about the lack of hot water and no solutions have ever been provided. If you wanna throw a party in the ballroom or just need a place to crash, great place. If you need a place with water pressure and hot showers, look elsewhere.
