This is a beautiful changing environment. From turtles to ducks to lily pads to huge toads, there’s always something fascinating to experience. There are 2 paths around Hines lake, one close to the water and another deeper into the trees that leads back to the lake’s edge. Both are a must any time if the day. The sunset is beyond amazing and the plants around the lake change with the season. The shaded pavilions with fire pits are a great place to rest or make s’mores. There also a large green area for picnics or playing frozen, soccer, or spike ball. There a 2 food trucks to grab coffee, a cold drink or a refreshing fruit concoction. The vibe is amazing, it’s refreshing to see active people all around.

This is one of my favorite parks in Houston, and as a photographer, this is my go-to for engagement sessions and family portraits! Every inch of this park is well kept and looks fantastic. We love having picnics on the grass with friends and walking our dogs on the trail. Beautiful vistas all around, and great facilities onsite as well. Highly recommend this park!

Parking is quite limited at the East Entrance. Good place to picnic and outdoor with families and friends. Nice and clean park. There’s lake too!

Such a beautiful and serene park. If you’re in Houston, this park is definitely worth a try. You will not be disappointed. What I enjoy the most about it is that there is something to do for people from all age groups, and that is awesome that this park has that vibe. The chalk wall is definitely a nice touch to leave a cute message etc. One thing I wish I would’ve known before coming is that parking is not free, but that is to be expected since it is in Houston. Although parking is not free, it is definitely reasonable and worth the ambiance. Anyone should give it a try if they’re in the area.

I have been coming to Memorial Park for years and years. The new additions are so lovely! You do not feel like you are in Houston at all. I love how they have worked in all of the water features and keep it all looking so nice! Also, mosquitos yet to seem a bother! There was a coffee truck along the park trails which is also a nice touch! Makes me want to just plan an entire day out here with the family and bring a picnic! There are tons of tables and pavilions to do so. Also, the perks of clean toilets is very nice as well! One of the best places in Houston by far!

Great park in the Houston area, especially for family outtings. Plenty of picnic tables and the park itself is very clean (including the bathrooms). Parking is a little difficult at peak times.

This place is truly a sanctuary. It feels safe, however, do not leave any valuables in your car. Upon one of my visits, one young lady had her car broken into and was in absolute shambles. This was in the evening. I wish they had security monitoring the parking area since car break-ins seem to be a common blight. If there is security, I've yet to spot them during my visits.

One of my fave parks. Made some homemade pizza and had a picnic. We used our friends handmade quilt baby gift for the babies to play on. They have meter parking in some spots. Tonight it was 1$ for 3 hours. Use app or kiosk. Be careful. If you are wrong by one digit you’ll get a 30-55$ fine. Exhibit A

Recently discovered this place and it has so many twists and turns to it!! Also has a place to grab Akai bowls and lattes and Popsicles! Very interesting inner path (on wood panels) that has multiple creative walking path configurations meshing both societal world & the nature world together.

I’m so proud of myself that I live in the city that has such a great and clean park like this one. It’s good for having a picnic, jogging, walking or playing on grass. Let’s keep it clean.
