Very good family run neighborhood restaurant serving an outstanding variety of well prepared and excellent tasting Vietnamese cuisine. The service is fast and friendly It is a relatively small place with parking for only about 6 cars but it does both good takeout and dine in business. The egg rolls are filled with a flavorful combination of shrimp, pork and crab and are perfectly fried to a non-oily and crispy texture. These are the best egg rolls that I have had in Houston, a city abundant in Vietnamese and Chinese restaurants serving a good egg roll. We also had the pho and the chicken and rice. Everything was fresh and we'll prepared. The portions were ample and tasty There was a good variety of Asian and American beverages from which to choose.

I recognized not just asian but others from different racial ethnics come to enjoy lunch here also. Try their shaken beef. It's their signature. I love their duck noodle here as well. Totally worthy spending $ here. The owner's family is so kind and sweet

Absolutely love this place… Family run, tastes amazing. I usually get their banh mi (sandwich) and tried several different kind, they are really good, pork with fried egg is awesome. Egg rolls, one plate has 4 and is served with lettuce and fish sauce. Bo Luc Lac - I enjoyed it, every place serves it their own way, this one came with fried rice. I recommend you try this place, parking is tight but that’s okay. TRY IT…

Wowww! Great selection of food to choose from. Their menu is vast. I recommend the egg rolls. They are huge. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. Everything was tasty. I will undoubtedly be commonly back when I am back in town.

Had the Lemongrass Pork Chops for lunch and enjoyed it very much! I accompanied it with a Coconut Water. The service was pleasant, my food came out at an adequate wait time. Great little spot in midtown, family owned, can't go wrong.

Best vietnamese food we've had yet. The rock and roll beef and egg rolls were particular standouts.

I picked up some food over here just to enjoy for a couple days. I got some sandwiches and some eggrolls. They were so good and authentic must try.

Kim Tai has a nice cozy atmosphere in the heart of Midtown in Houston. You can find Vietnamese dishes here like Pho and Bahn Mi. The price is affordable. This place gets crowded and the dining room is small.

I've been visiting this place for many many years. Hands down they have the best Bánh Mì in Houston. I normally go for a Wonton Soup & Bánh Mì. If you're in town and close by, don't forget to give this place a try. Even the type of ice they use for their soft drinks are my favorite 😂 super fresh, super clean & great price. Very kind welcoming family. Just remember they have a limited amount of parking space.

I love their pho! They could provide a bit more noodles but they make up for it with a heaping helping of meat. The chicken dumplings and egg rolls are also excellent. Always serviced hot and fresh. A downside is they only have 7 parking spots (5 in front and 2 on the side) but people come in and out pretty regularly/quickly so we’ve always gotten a spot. They also have metered street parking nearby.

First time eating here. I was a little skeptical at first cause there were no other customers, but little by little people began to arrive. I'm so glad I stayed cause the food was delish and affordable!! I ordered the shrimp spring rolls and vermicelli with chicken and pork.

You don’t go here for the aesthetics you go here for the food and good home service. Sweet family service is quick and food comes out hot and fresh and good just like home. I had ca kho to just right. And not overpriced. Not lots of parking space but people come in and out frequently in time for you to find a parking spot.

We got egg roll (A2) fried rice cake (A4) flat rice noodles with beef and tomato (M12) and wonton soup. Everything was fantastic and great value. LOVE !

The best and most authentic Vietnamese food in Houston! The flavors are so spot on and their portions are the perfect amount for the affordable price. I slowly began trying this place out and it has now become my go to for Vietnamese food. Their bahn mi’s are amazing (Grilled Pork and Egg are my favorites), and their Rock and Roll Beef (R05, in picture) is AMAZING. It’s the best beef dish I’ve ever had. Their lemonade is homemade and also the best I’ve had in Houston! 5/5 would recommend!!

One of my favorite spots for Vietnamese home cooking style. Simple but so flavorful, especially on the bo luc lac. The banh bot chien was also so crispy and its texture was perfect!

I’ll start by saying, the customer service from the owner was extremely generous (we received the incorrect order and he went out of his way to personally deliver the correct item). However, the vermicelli bowl and stir-fry dishes we ordered were not great. The vermicelli bowl was messy and unappealing. The crab meat for the stir-fry was pathetic… there were also random pieces of mystery meat. See images for reference. The noodles itself taste good, well seasoned. Overall, quite disappointing as we had high hopes for our lunch (we tried ordering from here the night before but they were closed).
