MY GOODNESS I must say!! I drove 30 minutes to try the food here. Well as you can see I CLEAN the plate! I ordered the catfish and shrimp w/cabbage and hushpuppies! The seasoning/batter was tremendous the cabbage I could all day! Oh can't forget the sweet tea was on point for sure! If you're ever in Houston checkout this hidden gem. You will not be disappointed trust me!

This is a little gem in an area known as a "food desert." The staff/owners are the nicest people who genuinely love what they do. I'm not typically a fan of bbq chicken because the flavor is always on the outside and not in the meat. This is an exception. The chicken has a rich smoky flavor all the way through. The oxtails were melt in your mouth delicious. But the cornbread is what's definitely got me going back. First, it's more like a corn cake. Its moist and dense. Second, it actually tastes like corn! Sweet corn. Put some butter on a warm piece and you're immediately transported back to the safety of the womb. I'm so glad I found this place.

This place is excellent. I love pulled pork and they have a tasty pulled pork sandwich 🤤. U must try the house tea! I have never had tea that good 😊 Oh! I almost forgot they are the nicest people...the hospitality is 5 stars... can't wait to visit again... a big thank you

The owner was very welcoming and appreciative of our business. Even though it was close to closing time he gave great service. The food was phenomenal!!! The pulled pork sandwich and the brisket sandwich were both delicious. Now the rib plate with collards and potato salad or the Cajun rice...be ready to have the meat slide off the bones. Definitely stop in and give this place a try.

Wow! I tried this place for the first time today, and I am so glad I did. The food was amazing and the staff were super friendly. Ordered online and my food was ready when I arrived. I got the smoked chicken with Cajun rice and green beans. Everything was delicious. I will be back soon. Give them your business and you will not be disappointed.

Overall great experience and detailed attention from owners. Best smoked brisket and chicken I've had in a while. Will definitely come back with the family!

Food was DELICIOUS! Staff was so friendly and made you feel welcome. Hidden gem worth the time to go and get some amazing food. Had the ribs, collard greens, cabbage, green beans. Kids had wings and burger, normally picky eaters, but the table was in dead silence! Nothing was sub par, absolutely NOTHING.

Well...the establishment was clean and decor was nice. The food was average. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and fries. Sandwich was more bread than meat. Meat did have a sweet flavor which I loved. But the French fries treated weird. I may try them again if I'm in the area.
