Slid through here to finish up some meetings for the day and loved the vibe. The latte I received was 😙👌🏾! The aesthetics are eye-catching and stand-out amongst the bevy of contemporary coffee shops starting to pop-up. Great space for meeting up with friends or finishing some work.

Good coffee shop with nice space & view, great choices of drinks and there's also happy hour ☺️ I like the matcha latte that I tried today.

This is such a nice place to drink a chai, read a book, and enjoy a calm atmosphere. The person making the drinks is spectacular at what they do - I have thought about my chai several days since going! They have nonbinary bathrooms, which is always nice, and the insides are covered with art and stickers. There are several comfy couches to choose from inside, in addition to a couple of tables and chairs outside. There aren't a ton of bright colors, and the music isn't very loud either. Definitely a place to enjoy some solid downtime.

Comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The gentleman at the counter was friendly and helped me get signed into the Wi-Fi and even checked later on to make sure I was still connected. The breakfast tacos that I ordered from the food truck were amazing!! Chorizo, eggs and potatoes was phenomenal, and I really enjoyed the bacon and eggs taco as well. Will be back to chill soon...I forgot to discuss the iced coffee which was excellent, and I appreciate the free water to stay hydrated. Relaxed and pleasant experience. Just an update: Been a minute since I last went, and when I came in this morning, my server at the register remembered what I always ordered and that meant a lot to me regarding the attention to detail. Just posted a picture with an empty plate that just had the contents of a Strawberry Cream Danish, and it was soo good that I ate it quickly and forgot to show, but I think that speaks for itself. Excellent.

Black Hole Coffee Shop offers a unique and vibrant experience just a six-minute stroll away from the Museum of Fine Art. The exterior boasts ample outdoor seating, perfect for the weather, while the colorful, trendy, and artistic interior immediately captivates. The staff seems to genuinely enjoy their work, creating a positive atmosphere. As you step inside, the intense and inviting aroma of coffee instantly elevates your spirits. The extensive latte options include a standout cappuccino with delightful whipped cream. The service is exemplary—fast, attentive, knowledgeable, and advisory. If proximity allowed, I would make this my daily workspace, reveling in the fantastic environment, energy, and of course, the commendable coffee offerings. Bravo to Black Hole Coffee Shop, undeniably one of the finest options near the Museum of Fine Art.

EDITED:::: Here today and AC is amazing!! Y'all come back!!!! Great place. Good vibes! I absolutely LOVE this place! One caveat. It is sooooo freaking hot!! Seriously it's causing people to get up and leave which makes me sad because the place is so awesome. I have found a temporary solution to my problem but it's Houston Texas's C'mon. Myself and another guy asked and the worker just said that the air conditioning was on.... My solution is my cute little fan!

Very Unwelcoming, Caught Off Guard By The Rude Employee, Don’t Ignore The Reviews About Bad Customer Service! You Definitely Will Find a Better (Independent, Local, Etc.) Coffee Shop With Great Customer Service and Better Drinks! Do Yourself a Favor and Drive Right Past This Hole in The Wall.

Good coffee, good scone, quick service, and plenty of space. Nothing was great, though. I was a bit disappointed when I saw so few food options. I chose this place because I was under the impression they had lots of food options. Arrived at 9:30, so it’s not like we got there super late and everything was gone. Overall, everything was good, and I’d try it again.

Decent coffee in a quite shop. They have a small taco truck outside for food offerings. It was a little hipster-y but I expected as much. Honestly, it was just a chill space in the middle of the city. A nice little oasis in the hustle of the city. Enjoyable and worth visiting if you are in the area.

I absolutely love this coffee shop.. The coffee shop has a very comfortable, cozy, peaceful, and safe feel... It is located in an area that has gorgeous landscape and is rather historical. The prices are reasonable and they only accept cashless methods of payment.. The staff members are courteous, friendly and polite..

I walked in to this coffee place, with high hopes due to some of the reviews I read. Once I ordered and said “Thank you ma’am” the She/He/It raised their voice causing a loud scene saying “I’m not a woman” although this isn’t an issue I believe the person shouldn’t have caused a scene, I said “sorry” and got my teas. The bathrooms were very clammy and not very nice. Wifi was slow and unusable for studying, not enough tables for studying, and couches were uncomfortable.Quite an awkward experience, will not be coming back. (The teas were watered down)

Iced chai latte was amazing here and so refreshing on a typical hot Houston morning. I wish I could praise the chocolate croissant too but it was very lacking in chocolate. The ambiance inside Black Hole is really nice. There’s tons of seating space inside and outside. Easy to be productive here 🤓

Cool looking place and nice location. Coffe was ok but staff wasnt that friendly honestly. They do have their own parking lot and it's kind of small so you may have to park on the side of the street.

Went here on vacation, great chill hippy vibes, I sat inside and outside before the Houston heat started. The coffee was ok, I drank all of it and it didn't make my stomach bubble afterwards like trying new coffee usually does to me. I didn't use creamer I used their homemade French vanilla syrup. I had to ask for more because I couldn't taste any sweetness. Overall the price was budget friendly and the cups were really nice and high quality feeling. There was actually a taco truck in the parking lot open for breakfast which was cool.

Good wine, great kombucha and little disappointing hummus snack (it was not very fresh). Cute vibe and lowkey!

I looked up a good place to read and this place popped up! It has an old school feel to it. Good service and decent coffee. At one point or another they turned the music up and I asked them to turn it down a bit and they did. So over all it was a great experience. Will be coming back. I like that it's off the beaten path so it's not over crowded.

Dirty Chai = Delicious Vast menu. Indoor and outdoor seating. Staff is friendly. Other patrons are friendlier Coffee shop is away from the main road tucked away in a quite part of the neighborhood

Glad I stopped by for coffee here. Had an Americano and liked it. Atmosphere is welcoming and kind of "artsy." Service was fast and friendly.

Came here to study with a friend. The service was nice and so was the cafe latte. It actually tasted as a cafe latte should taste! I loved the art, music, and vibe here. I understand why there is a 2 hr limit for internet. I am sure it's not fair to new customers especially if the business gets crowded. My only complaint would be the table was wobbly.

Amazing coffee! We got a brown sugar and lavender latte and it tasted so fresh and authentic. I love a coffee shop with homemade syrups! Definitely coming back!

This place is not too big, but quiet and relaxing. The coffee is always fresh and delicious. It is better than Starbucks!

Such a cozy coffee shop. I tried their cajeta latte it was so good, service was fast I barely had any wait time for my drink. There is plenty of seats available for either studying alone or having a casual hangout. Overall I rate this place an 9/10. :)

great place to study/work and plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. pastries are awesome and chai latte is one of the best in htx (top 3). been a go to spot for years

Very cozy coffee shop. There's 1-hour internet for each purchase so you have to keep buying drinks though. Easy street parking

Great espresso and atmosphere. Easy parking. House-made syrups. Very comfortable vibe. I had an iced americano per the barista's recommendation and it had a nice, smoky/cereal flavor that didn't sour. They know what they're about here.

Always a good atmosphere, I always hit this coffee shop between trips to the Menil Collection and The Fine Arts Museum. Night crew is especially nice. I know they’re there late and they still have a smile on their faces

On a Friday late afternoon, it's busy. Like 95% occupied inside. Towards the evening, there's less people. There’s outdoor seating with a big fan. Recommend cajeta latte for coffee drinkers. It has a nice flavor. Parking in front of the coffee shop is limited but street parking is available. It's located in a nice residential area. If you need quietness, this isn’t the place for that. It's a mix of people working on their laptops and having discussions with friends/associates. The bathrooms are decent and not filthy. One thing that sucks is the wifi is limited to 1 hour. Also, there is a limited amount of outlets.

I’ve been coming here for 10 years. Sometimes I go out of my way, sometimes it’s convenient. Regardless, being able to get coffee or a solid espresso drink at 0630, while interacting with an amazing staff is always a plus. I genuinely hate taking my drink to go, since the space is conducive to on site consumption. If you have not been here yet, you are really missing out, and if you have been, you know why.

It is pretty fair. I couldn't complain about this place. Once the doors opened up they were ready to take orders. I ordered an iced Vanilla Lavender Latte and it was delicious! Sat around on the sofa and had a small conversation with a friend. Once done was out and ready to start my morning.

Charming local coffee house with the full menu of coffee and tea drinks, cookies and the like. It was quite busy and with only one barista it took a while. He was efficient though and our orders were accurate and flavorful.

Nice spot for a good late hot or iced. Not to complicated just simple lattes. Free WiFi with purchase and they usually have a good food truck outside. Think taco being my favorite. Also they only accept cards for safety reasons.

Don't get me wrong: Black Hole Coffee has the best atmosphere of any coffee shop in Houston in my opinion. I love the comfortable furniture, the coffee is pretty good, and the music is well chosen. However, it really bothers me that they don't display price tags for food items. I think this is a shady business practice. Customers should be able to make informed choices about what they buy, and it is embarrassing to have to ask (especially if there is a line). If they address this issue, which has persisted for years, I will edit my review and change it to five stars.
