Booked
a
room
a
week
in
advance
for
our
trip
to
Houston
for
the
Taylor
swift
concert.
Called
ahead
the
day
before
explaining
that
we
are
traveling
and
won’t
be
able
to
check
in
until
later
in
the
evening
after
the
concert
is
over.
The
desk
attendant
assured
me
late
check
ins
were
okay
and
if
we
were
expecting
to
be
later
than
11pm
to
just
call
the
day
off
and
let
them
know.
The
day
of
the
reservation
I
called
at
6pm
to
confirm
we
will
be
checking
in
late
since
the
concert
would
run
late.
The
desk
attendant
assured
me
everything
was
good
as
long
as
we
checked
in
before
1am.
The
concert
let
out
and
we
drove
the
35
mins
back
to
the
hotel
and
arrived
around
12:15pm.
After
attempting
to
check
in
we
were
informed
that
there
was
a
“glitch”
or
problem
in
the
system
and
that
they
over
booked
the
rooms
and
had
no
rooms
available.
I
asked
if
they
could
set
us
up
at
another
hotel
and
they
said
that
they
had
called
around
and
all
the
hotels
in
the
area
were
fully
booked.
So
here
we
are
out
of
town
in
a
different
city
and
no
place
to
go
at
midnight.
Marriott
did
not
notify
me
once
about
losing
my
booking,
even
though
I
called
the
day
before
and
at
6pm
the
day
of
and
was
reassured
our
room
was
good.
Not
informing
us
of
any
change
in
our
booking
left
me
and
my
family
stranded
after
a
long
day
of
travel
and
the
concert.
I
understand
the
high
fluctuation
of
people
due
to
the
concert
but
to
give
away
rooms
that
are
reserved
without
notifying
the
reservation
holders
is
a
big
issue.
There
were
a
few
other
couples
in
the
lobby
who
were
also
told
their
room
was
no
longer
available.
I
will
never
book
with
a
Marriott
hotel
again.
I
recommend
looking
elsewhere
for
places
to
stay
as
there
is
no
guarantee
you
will
have
a
place
to
stay.
