Probably the best Road bike trail around Houston. There is very little foot traffic on the highway 6 side and one the few places where you can cruise at 25mph without having to dodge cars or slow for pedestrians. The Katy side trail head is at the junction of Highland Knolls and Fry Rd, since it links up with Terry Hershey you can travel 20miles end to end. The park has plenty of stopping points along the way ... swings, benches and tables. Bring water, there are not any fountains on this trail.

Nice area. Just beware and do not leave anything in your car that you do not want stolen. No matter where you hide it is safe they will find it. They will break your windows and search your trunk and anywhere else you think is a good hiding spot. Please do not bring anything of value if you do carry it with you or better yet leave it at home.

The park have parking and perfect space for bikes and for the pedestrians. Bring your own water for the trip.

Wonderful place to stop and rest on a walk through this great slice of untamed nature in the middle of suburbia. It has benches to sit on, shade from the overhead trees and the meandering Buffalo Bayou running below. Lots of birds and even the chance to see a gator. Look out for the bike riders coming through from both directions.

I don't give it 5 stars because of the sound of the shoot trail. The sound is hideous. So you are there, connecting with nature and your spirit and the you start hearing the rifles and all kind of weapons shooting. Makes me feel unsafe and brings me sorrow.

Beautiful bike trail. 2 large Alligators live here. Mosquitos in summer are awful!
