My family drove 2.5 hours here to surprise my mom for her birthday. Seeing an owl in person was on her bucket list. This trip did not disappoint. She was so surprised. We had so much fun learning about owls! Staff was super friendly, informative, knowledgeable, passionate and really made our trip here memorable. We met 3 owls! My son got to do a scavenger hunt inside the center. He got to hold and feel different fathers. We read owl books. We pledged to do things to help keep owls safe. There was also a very cute section where owl things were being sold….owl shirts, hand painted owl decor, owl puzzles, owl books for all ages, owl art by kids across the world, owl pens, jewelry, soap, etc. This center was in a cool old building that was quaint and definitely loved. I did see a sign for a new building though. Overall fun trip for kids and adults. Just seeing an owl so colors was in itself very very cool! Thank you to all who talked with us today!

A very educational experience and a good way to spend the day with the family. There were four live owls available to view and a very informative presentation that lasted about an hour, finishing with the host bringing one of the owls around through the audience for a close encounter. i learned a lot about owls that I never knew or even thought of.

The program was outstanding. The educational displays were informative. My favorite part were the childrens' drawings associated with their annual art contest. I couldn't believe over 2700 were submitted from all over the world. Wow.

The International Owl Center came to our local library and we decided to visit during the beautiful fall weather. Lots of fun for all ages. Their educational programs are good for families and kids and the Center has lots of learning and international interaction. We plan to come for their festival in March. We are excited for the future home and the fundraising to make that possible.

The International Owl Center was our first stop on our vacation and it was a great way to start! We listened to a very good, knowledgeable, and entertaining presentation along with a close up look at a live owl. There was also a very nice owl gift shop and a wonderful display of children's owl art from around the world.

This is truly an international owl center with incredible owl related drawings from young students around the world. It is worth it just to see the student art, let alone get up close and personal with the resident owls, learning from Karla or Kacie about the variety of owls in the world and how they are different from other raptor species. They are working on fundraising to provide an incredible facility to showcase and educate on the lives of owls in a one-of-a-kind world class structure to support owls of various breeds.

We visited after going to the Driftless Area Education Center in Lansing. This was a very pleasant surprise! There were at least 50 people from all over the country for the live owl presentation we attended. The staff was very informative and entertaining. We even learned why using poison for mice/rats is deadly for owls. It's a small place packed with a lot of information and definitely worth the stop.

I love birds! So when I found out there was an owl place that was within reach... I took my boyfriend hostage and drove all the way over to the small town! The owl center is rather small, but what they lack in size, they make up for in owl knowledge! 🦉 they have hands-on items you can touch to feel the difference in feathers. They had 4 very cute and calm owls. You can see all the owls online to know a little more! They have shows a few times a day too. Expect to be there for at least 30 minutes to see everything. Shows last about 1 hr. So many awesome pictures and art made by children of all ages were amazing! As an amateur artist myself, I was blown away by some of the pictures! You can even BUY some of the masterpieces! That wasn't all! They had an owl sculpture scavenger hunt! This town is very tiny, so finding the sculptures isn't too bad. It was a lot of fun to see some of the interesting things this town had! I posted a pic of one of the sculptures I had found... you're going to have to go to see the rest!

We drove 2 hours to get here and were not disappointed!! You can tell the folks here are 100% invested in caring for the owls. They seem to truly love their work. The presenter doesn't hide in the back, waiting for "show time", she is out and about, answering questions and giving information on their owls and the species in general. We love how the well-being of the owls is their main concern. Admission is very reasonable and we gave a donation in addition to that - WELL DESERVED!!!!

This was our second time visiting. This time we took part in the evening owl hooting event. Even though we were skunked it was well worth the experience. Jo does an amazing job on various owl calls! It was worth it just to hear them! She does a fantastic presentation and has a ton of knowledge. We had a great time!

Great day trip from La Crosse. Learn about owls and see them up close. Staff is very knowledgeable. Nice gift shop. Recommend for kids interested in science and the great outdoors. Best to time your arrival with the start of their shows.

It was a beautiful drive to get there. And when we got there it was a little smaller than I expected but not much. They had four live owls right there. And the presentation was really really good.

I brought my toddler and she was delighted by the owls and the friendly staff. It was a great excursion for us and a fun way to pass a frigid winter day You can touch many different owl wings and feel how soft their feathers are compared to a hawk's. There is a sweet scavenger hunt to do, and amazing owl artwork from youth around the world who submit for their annual contest. And of course the best part are the four owls, JR (burrowing) Ruby (great horned) Piper (barn), and Uhu (Eurasian Eagle owl) that you get to meet!
