👍👍 I have lived in 3 other apartments in Houston and have moved each time because was unhappy with the property/management. If I didn’t NEED to move to be closer to work this time then I would have renewed again and again! The Shavelson is in a perfect location literally across the street from so many... I have lived in 3 other apartments in Houston and have moved each time because was unhappy with the property/management. If I didn’t NEED to move to be closer to work this time then I would have renewed again and again! The Shavelson is in a perfect location literally across the street from so many restaurants, stores, and more yet remains perfectly clean and quiet all the time! I also could not have asked for a better property manager. Lynda has been so kind and understanding and beyond helpful with everything throughout our lease, I’m so glad I chose the Shavelson and I’m definitely going to miss living there!

I have enjoyed living here at The Shavelson for a year now and just renewed my lease. The complex is small, clean, and quiet. It is located in a great place with lots of eating choices and entertainment. Walmart is directly across the street! The units are remodeled with wood laminate floors and updated appliances and I love that the stove is gas and not electric! The leasing price is comfortable for this area. Last, but not least, Ms. Lynda, the apartment manager, is the absolute best. She is warm and friendly and has made living here a breeze.

I had only lived in Houston, for a short period of time, and came across these apartments. From day one, the Manager, Lynda made my interest in being a part of the community, so welcoming. She was not only hospitable, but she made the process of applying easy, and communicated with me every step of the way. This didn't change after moving in, and Lynda always makes herself available, and if there's anything you need her to do, she makes it a priority. The property has lived up to everything she said it would, and I am so happy that I live here.

Lynda, the property manager, made my move to Shavelson so awesome. She is welcoming, very helpful and responds almost immediately to any question I have. The complex is very quiet which is really nice when I have to work from home and I love the floors & cabinets in my apt. To top it off you can’t beat this location. It’s close to everything!

Lynda is super thoughtful, friendly and welcoming. We were apartment hunting for weeks and immediately fell in love with our unit! We claimed it that same day. All updated appliances, generous closet space, prompt maintenance, valet trash service and covered parking. The area itself is excellent enough on its own but the rent is almost too good to be true. I have zero regrets moving here.

I’ve really enjoyed my experience here so far. Lynda has been great to work with, made sure I was completely happy with everything, and even personally introduced me to the maintenance staff(!). It’s also a great part of town and close to everything (I can walk to the nearby LA Fitness in about 2 or so minutes), I get along with my neighbors, and it has a very communal feeling. It’s so small, if you need a neighbor to lower the volume, you can just ask politely. They don’t bite (at least so far lol). Unlike with massive apartment complexes where friends and family can get lost easily when trying to visit my apartment, here it’s just a walk up the gate and down the sidewalk. Plenty of street parking too. The outside of the building is pretty plain to look at, but the insides / apartments look great and are all beautifully remodeled and up to date. Maybe the only downside is that it’s a bit close to the expressway, and a lot of sound comes through the windows, but honestly it’s like 95% the rush / breeze of cars passing in the distance and (except for the occasional noisy driver) it really sounds like white / background noise. Also I don’t get a lot of noise from the neighbors except the odd movement now and then, and occasionally the odd bump against the wall like in any other apartments. So, all on all really nice.

I was more than happy to renew my lease at The Shavelson. If you want to live somewhere that is clean, quiet, has awesome staff and a great location, this place checks all the boxes. Lynda is a wonderful manager and goes above and beyond for her residents.

Update: we are moving but people in apt 7 still harassing us and they are getting away with it. Landlord also gossips about us to them. She is not by law supposed to tell residents about our status. So be aware of this place. This place is homophobic towards the Trans and lesbian community. They also have an issue with women When we moved in all was good but once I asked people next door to turn their music down they started harassing us. They would comment stuff. Community is afraid to complain so they say nothing to the Landlord. We stood up for ourselves and we are being forced out. Neighbors are gay men that have openly stated racist and homophobic things. We record for our safety and get yelled at for it by Lynda and management and threatened to be kicked out though it is our first amendment. Everyone has rings cameras and we are told not to record, really. We are harassed and when we defend ourselves they tell the Landlord lies. Not a good place to live. Neighbors even scammed a person who lived here so he moved out for his safety. Another Neighbors is a pet hoarder. He let's them get pregnant and throws them out when they are grown when letting your animals go is a felony now. I have pets and paying little by little on my pet deposit. But i never treat my pets like he does. Another neighbor if you don't help her she will turn on you. So people be careful if you move here. One star is not my rating it's "0".

It's simply been a pleasure living at The Shavelson. I can't remember living at a place with better response time to maintenance requests, and the property manager is always helpful and works very hard to ensure a good experience for the residents. I haven't even considered moving elsewhere and have had an easy decision to make when it was time to renew my lease. Very happy with my time here.
