Car theft, broken elevator, pee pool, can't sweat in gym, care looks but not user-friendly There were non-residents like TV shows crew shooting around. Recently there was a car theft, not sure if high profile propaganda attracts thief. The main elevator has been broken for several weeks, no results so far and very inconvenient. Every weekend pool parties with large crowd, not sure if they live here, people chat and soak in pool several hours without need going toilet which defies human logic. Thought I could do some serious swimming before move-in. Water quality in pool concerning. Try to go gym, the gym is set at freezing temperature from 68 to 72, to make sure you don't sweat much and dry unnaturally fast, rather than investing in air purifier. Only used it once. If you think the above make you comfortable, go ahead. Everything is not consider from resident angle but for keeping looks and easy management. Do not deceive by the display they won't care your satisfaction or comfort. Improvement takes action rather than speaking. I will adjust the rating should I see improvement to be fair. *Cannot agree more with Jenny Bowen with the weed smell below. Seriously smoking weed problem in this building, I am full of weed smell through places I go, the carpets full of weed smell, when you open the balcony, weed again. Literally smoke weed everyday like the song. All they need is play some DR. Dre at the lobby to be complete. Kids grow up here will be cool and smart smelling this.

The apartments are lovely with good quality finishes. There are 24/7 security, valet and concierge services. The amenities are ample, with roof top pool, gymnasium, map room, sky lounge, bbq areas, game room and etc. The best part are the people working here. They are all exceptionally helpful and pleasant from the front desk, maintenance to the leasing agents especially Sonia and Christopher. Thank you for making this place a lovely home to come back to every time.

I lived here for 2 years and although it is pricey it is the best place i’ve ever lived! Money well spent. Great security and clean amenities. Security was a huge thing for me and I felt so beyond safe here. Such a great place to call home. My moving out situation was a little tricky as it was all done from a different state, but the leasing and concierge were extremely flexible and helpful. Made the process way less stressful. If I come back to Houston, this will always be my home.

We moved into the Novel River Oaks about 2 weeks ago and it has been a wonderful experience. The building is gorgeous and very well maintained and the amenities are fantastic - especially how dog-friendly it is! However, the absolute best part of the Novel is the staff. Everyone we have dealt with has been extremely pleasant, professional, quick to respond, and a real pleasure to deal with. There is nothing we have asked of them that they were not willing to help us with. Whoever does the hiring & training must have a very high bar and it shows! I don't think there is anyone on staff that I have gone to with a question or request - the management, the leasing agents, the concierges and the maintenance people - that have not proven to be a real credit to the Novel River Oaks. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Novel River Oaks has been nothing short of amazing. The prime location and accessibility to Houston’s most coveted area is unbeatable. The apartment itself has gorgeous features and finishes such as high ceilings, marble countertops, and premium lighting. The closet space is HUGE (impossible to find these days!!) The staff is so friendly and remarkable. Concierge is also very accommodating. Not to mention the all the amenity spaces that can be reserved are all gorgeous and perfect for entertaining and there is ample parking for guests. It’s also so wonderful with all the resident events they put together. Honestly 10/10, hands down best place I’ve ever lived in Houston so far!

Wow! Nick at Novel River Oaks is a fantastic asset to this property! I really enjoyed getting to work with him! He was very professional and personable! He was very knowledgeable on the property & kept me informed on the community and surrounding areas! He was very easy to talk to and was so helpful throughout the process! Five star service!

First impressions mean everything and unfortunately Novel dropped the ball. We booked a tour and arrived only to be bumped by someone else who was “double booked”. Even though we arrived first, we were told that to either wait to see of the tour finishes early or schedule for another day with the caveat that they close at 5pm. As were were leaving, the other party arrived. When I asked her if she also had an appointment for this time, she said yes. Come to find out she is a realtor who is paid to book residents inti their apartments. Needless to say, this didn’t leave a great impression on us. Good customer service isn’t hard, but it does include taking ownership for your lack of business organization and customer experience. *Update* After my original review, the manager responded and offered us another opportunity for them to get it right. We went back and Nicholas did not disappoint. He went over and beyond what I was expecting. Not only did he provide a history of the property, but he he didn’t rush and made us understand the uniqueness of the space. And lastly, the property is gorgeous! As a result, I’ve updated my rating to 5 stars.

I moved in almost 2 months ago and I absolutely love it here. The property is well maintained, security actually does their job and the mobile app is very helpful. My neighbors are all professionals and majority of us work from home. Why would you go anywhere else?
