So to be completely honest I feel a past life connection to this place. I have visited this pub in all my past lives since time immemorial. I feel a strong karmic connection here, like I’ve drank here in multiple life times. Food is great. Drinks are perfectly sippable. And service is fantastic. I will def visit in all my lifetimes again and again🍻

The service was great and the drink selection was awesome. The Irish Nachos weren't what I had hoped, but the Shepard's Pie was freaking amazing.

If I could give this place more stars I would. The Shepherd's pie is great. But you know what's better? The Irish Stew. Dennis, our server was wonderful. And then Peter, one of the co-owners, was one of the most awesome, authentic folks I've met in Houston. He, as well as I, would recommend those dishes.

What I do love most about Hugh O’ Connors is the consistency to an already clean, lighthearted atmosphere. Staff is personable and polite. Thursday steak night is the best! They have a robust menu with great food and specials, I would highly recommend Hugh O’ Connors for any occasion especially date night.

Best Irish whiskey selections in town, great pub food, atmosphere, and staff plus authentic Irish ownership! Lots of TVs and the official fan home for Notre Dame football as well as other teams!

I tried Hugh O’Conner’s for the first time this past weekend and it did not disappoint! The restaurant has a great pub feel to it and the staff was excellent. Maria was friendly and attentive! Food and drinks were great, we tried the shepherd’s pie and the Guinness burger at their suggestion and they were SO good. Will definitely be back!

We came here after having a couple of drinks at the Improv and watching TJ Miller, who had an awesome show. I went inside to order our party some drinks and the next thing I know after stepping outside to hand our party their drinks we were being thrown out of the bar. Apparently the bartender was having a bad night and had enough of his night so he proceeded to make up an excuse saying we were too inebriated to be served anymore beverages. I observed others at this establishment having a great time and who were also inebriated, possibly even more than us. I’m not sure what gave him the impression that we were in this particular state but I can assure you that was not the reason we were asked to remove ourselves from the establishment. I believe him to be a raciest and I have the entire incident recorded. Let me just say that this review is only the beginning and there will be more repercussions to come.

Ask Dennis for his special drink. Tables were serviced with teamwork. Definitely get the bread pudding. And although it isn't on the menu Irish coffee is available too.

I've eaten at many places bragging about their fish and chips- this was pretty bad- One star because I have too! Just waisted 17.00 on fish and chips. First- the worst tarter sauce - bartender said it's from Sysco foods- fake miracle whip tang - no tarter should be made with miracle whip! Sysco coleslaw was warm. Fish- after about two bites the batter became soggy then I noticed the fish was chewy and not fully cooked. See pic! Well a 17.00 lessen- don't ever eat here again!

Have frequented this spot several times. Cold beer, appealing bar, good food and great atmosphere. Tonight we had a group event here. Everyone enjoyed.

Stopped in here for a quick meal and was extremely surprised at how good the food was. We had several of the menu options, but the clear star was the shepherds pie. It was excellent!! However, as good as the pie was the service was better. Maria was our server and was outstanding. Best service I have had in recent memory.

Came here with some of my buddies because I heard they had some great drinks. I had my fingers crossed, hoping I'd find Guinness, and it did not disappoint!! I think the staff is amazing, with great conversations, and they let us try drinks too. I'll remember this place next time I am in the area for sure !!

I can't say enough AH-MAY-ZING things about this bar. The ambiance is on point: laid back and comfortable. This bar brings a bit of Ireland to Houston. The staff? The best in Texas. Dave and Pete know how to run shop and they hire the best of the best. Ronan and Goose are the friendliest bartenders I've ever met. EVER. The entire staff is phenomenal. Dennis took care of us today and he was friendly, quick and great. HIGHLY recommend this bar to ANYONE living or visiting Houston. Delicious food, awesome drinks, and the best staff!

Hugh's pour the best Guinness in Houston hands down. It's also a great spot to watch sports, especially soccer. They're the home of Houston's official Liverpool supporters club and are open for every Liverpool match. I went last night (Thursday) for steak night and the ribeye was excellent. Highly recommend this place... the food and drinks are great and the staff are terrific.

Love coming to this bar. It has become my regular spot for two main reasons. 1. ICE cold beer. Every glass is frosted and tap selection is fantastic. 2. AMAZING food. The Shepherds pie is incredible as well as the fish n chips and mash. Everyone working here is super cool and kind. It will continue to be my friend’s and I’s spot for hanging out, sports, and everything in between.

Came here after a comedy show. Had some drinks, chips & dip, and the sliders. Queso was off the chain. Sliders were not bad. Service was good. Place wasn’t too busy

The blonde/brown haired girl behind the bar was super friendly and knowledgeable! The white guy with an accent was also very nice. Everything was very clean, especially the restrooms, and the food was excellent! I enjoyed my first visit here and will definitely be returning Everytime I pass by

I've only had the fish and chips here The fish is lightly batter and has a great texture, delicious when paried with tartar sauce. The fries were perfectly crisp in the outside, yet fluffy and warm on the inside. They're seasoned just right to be paired with either malt vinegar or ketchup.

Not bad at all! Came in with a friend for happy hour. Had the Cod tacos, and she the veggie Burger. Both were good! Burger may have been a little overcooked, but not the end of the world. Happy hour wasn't bad! I do wish they had food options for HH, but also not catastrophic. Worth a stop!

I needed a place to feel my Irish pride in on St Patrick's Day and this was the perfect spot for lunch! Delicious fish and chips, and the Guinness chocolate cake is so good.

Stopped n to see a match w friends and enjoyed this spot as a pub, w good grub and solid beer and whiskey selection w plenty of fans to make it exciting. Service was really friendly and attentive, prices solid. So as a pub 5 stars…but as a sports bar maybe 3 as the sound is really tough and the big screen iffy. Looking forward to coming back n the evening sometime to try more of the fare and relax w friends.

appened upon this Irish I pub after Van Gogh exp experience the centre is chuffed with casual dining. My friends wanted fish and chips and this looked an apt spot to get an order and I could get a pint . There were 6 of us they took good care of us several carafes of mimosas appetizers, fish and chips. On the patio . A little taste of home admits cookie cutter eateries
