We visited walker street kitchen for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We were greeted by Roe, the hostess, with a smile and prompt seating. Tommy was our waiter, he is by far one of the best waiters i have ever had, he kept a constant smile despite the restaurant being busy. Tommy was very responsive to all our request and made this experience and outstanding one. The food was delicious, Walker Street Kitchen understands that regardless of how good the food is, its the service that makes the customer satisfied.

Located in the Marriott, so location was convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful. Extremely expensive and disappointing. The orange juice was 6 bucks, low grade straight out of a carton. The cappuccino was 6, Luke warm and from a machine using what tasted like long life milk.

Very good but super expensive for breakfast food. The buffet is almost $30. I got avocado toast, a side of fruit an herbal tea and it was $27 before tax. It did taste great.

We stayed at the Marriot and ate here. Food was good. Nothing super extrodinay but was ok. We did the buffet. Potato flavor was so much pepper and just were not palatable. The bavon was drenched in grease and just not edible. The orange juice tasted like carton juice from like Sunny D so that was disappointing. I enjoyed the variety of pastries and spreadables and they did hot breakfast staples. It was good to get through breakfast but for the price not worth it. Would rather pay more for room service.

I was staying at the hotel with my cousin for her work trip. Getting seated was fine and the meal was fine even though it a long time for 2 pancakes and I had to request different pancakes because they gave me the wrong order. When it came time for the check. It took forever for someone to take my card. When I finally flagged one of the staff down to pay for my check, it took 30 mins to get my card back. I had to flag another staff member down again to find out what was taking so long to get my card back. They couldn't find my card. Turns out one of the staff members delivered it to the wrong table and my card was sitting with unknown people for who knows how long. I understand people my have bad days but when your credit card information is sitting with people you don't know that's where I draw the line. So I have to request a new card because I don't know if the people who had my card wrote down my information or not. After everything the food was delicious and I just don't like my personal information just being carelessly put infront of random people.

A lot of the negative reviews are outdated. This is a real solid, convenient option for brunch if you're staying in the hotel. The staff are friendly and efficient. The seating and ambiance in general is comfortable. The buffet is a great deal ($26 per person) and the made to order pancakes (they offer them with blueberries or chocolate) and omelettes are well prepared and a really nice touch. The food on offer in the buffet was great but not entirely up to par with the caliber of the hotel (pastries in particular were mediocre).

Nice place inside Marriott Hotel. The food was good, but pricey. We thought we had a daily $25 per day hotel credit but came to find out that due to our group rate, waiving the "resort fee" precluded the daily credit. It would have been nice to have had that explained before we ate at the hotel restaurants. $70 for 2 beers and 2 hamburgers at their sports bar, really pricey by my standards.

Tommy, went above and beyond for us with the most amazing customer service. The food was great and the buffet offered so many options that we are planning on bringing the kids next time. Ask for Tommy if you want the best experience!!

Decided to try their buffet option ($$), I was just 10 mins seated, hadn’t even drank my coffee, food was still half left on the plate, the server lady came with a cheque. I felt forced to leave the place. Even Starbucks lets you stay for more than 10 mins, and for a $30 meal, this is unacceptable. I just can’t imagine a restaurant which advertises itself for better service won’t even feel the need to ask the customer if he/she needs a cheque before slamming it on the table. Horrible experience!! Ruined my morning

Nice brunch spot underneath the Marriott Marquis and next to Biggio’s. I highly recommend it although it is quite expensive, there aren’t many breakfast spots close by. The blueberry and banana nut pancakes were some of the best we’ve ever had. The texture and quality of breading was holy Toledo. We returned for lunch the next day and the chicken club sandwiches, salads were both tasty.

Nice spot underneath the Marriott Marquis. I thought it was great but slightly pricy. Was surprised how good the breakfast buffet was. The fruit was fresh and they had a good selection (unlike most breakfast buffets that only have cantaloupe.) We didn’t try anything off the menu because we were in a hurry but I’ve posed it for reference. (This was August 2023.)

Located in the Marriott Marquis this is a convenient location on the first floor with a full breakfast buffet (26$ per person) with pancake and omelet station. Also offer mimosas and blood Mary's by request and an Ala Carte menu if you don't want buffet. I had the migas which was delicious

Came here for breakfast during a convention at the George R. Brown. Had the breakfast buffet and pancakes. Had to offer the pancakes through the waitress, but they came out of the kitchen pretty quick and tasted great. It was an expensive

The food I would call decent. The waffles were mildly warm but not hot enough to feel fresh, and the egg was one of the most plain egg I've ever had at a restaurant in my life. However if you ask for the home fries to be crispy, they come out tasting wonderful. To be fair, I don't go to a dinner for their fries though.

$26 for "Breakfast Buffet" compared to Ala Carte prices definitely worth it. Nice selection on Buffet with "Complimentary" all you can eat made to order eggs..omelet and/or pancakes. You also get complimentary coffee, tea or water when you leave. When I visited service was exceptional...Thanks to Tommy.. and other staff.

Not sure why this place had a 3.9 review rating. Despite the low reviews, we decided to give Walker Street Kitchen a try (Mostly because they were close to home to be completely transparent). We enjoyed the onbionce when we first walked in. It was inviting and set up very elegant in appearance. We asked to sit away from others after walking in the heat in downtown Houston and the hostess had no issue with the request. The drink lady came immediately to take our drink orders and was very prompt in returning with our beverages. Our waitress was extremely courteous and nice. She took her time explaining to us how the Brunch works and then gave us time to review our options. She returned in a good amount of time considering she was the only server waiting on 4 tables (one with a large group of 8). Our drinks never hit bottom the entire time we were there. We did pay over $50 but it was worth it considering we had an large array of choices to choose from and not to mention the food was very good (even the frozen turkey patties). So bottom line, Good Service, Good Food, equals a Good Experience!

Perfect spot for breakfast if you're in the hotel. The hostess (I forgot her name) and my waiter (Tommy) remembered me every day and were very friendly and accommodating. The buffet is your best option and they include a made-to-order pancake or omelette with the buffet.

Stayed at this hotel for two days and even came one a 3rd day when we checked out because the breakfast was so good. Each day it was fantastic and the staff were friendly. Wasn't very busy, which to me is a hiding a gem. Great food, minimum wait. Definitely will return

Excellent service! We had the best waitress whose name was Lian, what a sweetheart. The breakfast menu was great and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone staying at the Marriot Marquise hotel in Downtown Houston. We ate breakfast here 3 days straight. The restaurants decor was also beautiful.

Nice "make your own omelette" choices, with multiple cheeses, proteins and veggies. Good choice of breakfast pastries and typical buffet including fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, Etc. Tight table spacing, a concern for some people during Covid recurrence. Pleasant staff.

So...tried to call this place. No answer and no way to leave a message. There google ad said 2:00pm was their closing time. We show up and 1 group was there. No one at the front. We walk in further and the waitress comes out and says, we close in 10 min. AKA. You really shouldn't sit down for the buffet. I told her, we just paid $20 to park and your ad says 2:00pm because you offer a brunch. She said she didn't know why it said that. This place is struggling and nit reading their reviews to make corrections. Stay Away. I'd bet my left arm that their regular menu is just as bad. STAY AWAY!

Definitely pricey for a breakfast but at least the food was good. Not a lot of options but it hit the normal mainstays of eggs, potatoes, bacon and sausage with an assortment of muffins, pastries, breads and cut up melons and everything was cooked well and tasted fresh for a buffet. Options available for some cook to orders items like omelettes.
