honestly, they were very colorist.. (i don’t want to say racist & frighten folks away). me & my friend arrived .. instantly eyes were on us but no help was received. the waitress was almost trying to rush us out of the door. the food was very bland & dry. i had the tilapia, rice & red beans.. my friend had the friend pork chunks with mixed rice and beans with vegetables. the meat & fish had no seasoning & was dry. the vegetables were salty. the rice was my favorite part! i even told the waitress i didn’t enjoy my food & she said she couldn’t do anything about it because i waited too late. then continued trying to rush us out by persistently asking if we wanted to go boxes & the check. overall i would give this place a 2/10 because they did also have live music, which i enjoyed!

This is my second time coming to Rincon Criollo! If you want to try Cuban food then this place should be your first stop! Their food is very flavorful and filling. The menu isn't overwhelming and there are great choices to choose from! My first time dish were the Oxtails BEST OXTAILS I've ever tasted there was so much flavor with every bite I definitely recommend that dish! My second time dish were the Masas Fritas that's a good dish choice as well! Don't think twice about it go try them out!

The food was good, but nothing special. It could have more flavor in the ropa veija kinda bland. The Cuban sandwich was on point.

I used to live in Miami for almost 15 years and when I moved to Houston, I looked for a Cuban restaurant, so I found El Rincón Criollo and asked for a Pan Cubano and my wife ordered a Palomilla and both plates were really good. On my next visit I ordered Rabo Encendido and it’s delicious. Parking is ample and free. If you want to test the real Cuban flavor this is a good place to start.

First time here. Have been craving a cubano sandwich. Picked up food for my family. Four different cubanos. Got two with plantains and two with fries. I also got beef empanadas and four desserts. Staff was friendly. The place was very busy but still got my order in about fifteen minutes. The sandwiches were good. My favorite was a beef and traditional pork. The prices were very reasonable. I am sure we will be back in the future.

I recommend this place for Cuban dishes. Plantains are delicious. Yuca is delicious too. I've only eaten here twice but will definitely be going back. Try this out and let me know what you think. It is a small dining area if you are dining eat.

I have been ordering food from Rincón Criollo since years. Their food is always amazing. Excellent portions and the food still hot even it takes the delivery 45-55 minutes. I’m more than happy with their service in person and online. I highly recommend this restaurant.

My family is Cuban and I was born and raised in Miami Fl and when I say the best Cuban food it is authentic. It reminds me of my family’s cooking. The food is flavorful and the variety is Amazing. The service is great and portions are filling. You must try the Moro rice with any meat of choice will be great. The flan has the perfect consistency and taste. Highly recommend to anyone wanting that Caribbean/ Cuban food in the area. I am there at least once a week.

So disappointed. I had my son sick at home an I deceived to buy soup for him. After 1 hr the soup arrived and it was damaged, smelled and taste like damage food. So I threw it away. Waste of time and money. I do not recommend it.

The food was great. I had the garlic grilled chicken, sweet plantains with black beans and white rice. It was all really good. The person I was with had the Ox tails and raved about how good it was.

Food was great prices are not to bad and service was great. Jr did an awesome job was attentive and a got our order correct and to us in a flash.

This is my go to for Authentic Cuban Cuisine. The food is absolutely delicious and the entire restaurant staff are the best in the business... Make sure you tip your waiter or waitress as they definitely deserve a great tip for their excellent service..... This place is the Best !!!

Currently pregnant and had a tamale craving. These were pretty darn good. Their coffee was piping hot and really tasty. Prices are afordable but portions do come small. Forgot to take pics. Next time.

It all started with my cuban friend taking us there for like a week straight, we were working around the area and it turned into our favorite place to go eat for lunch, they used to have buffet I don't know if they still do that, that was almost 2 years ago, but I came back recently to introduce my wife to authentic cuban cuisine and she absolutely loved, her dish was ginormous, and delicious, my favorite dish is with out a doubt is the rabo encendido, I highly recommended is just incredible, you are not allowed to leave the place without having some delicious flan, and of course delicious cuban coffee!

My family is Cuban and we love this place! We visit a few times a month. For this visit, I had the pan con bistec (steak sandwich) and for dessert I had the arroz con leche (rice pudding). The fresh cuban bread really makes the sandwich so delicious and the steak is what is called a palomilla which is a very thin steak but full of flavor. All very fresh ingredients and a staff that makes me feel I'm back home in Miami.

I was admittedly skeptical about the reviews but have to admit this restaurant makes legitimately delicious food. Some of the best food comes from the "hole on the wall" and Rincon Criollo reminded me of that saying. The Picadillo a la Criollo was well seasoned and went perfectly with the rice and beans side dish. The milanesa de pollo really is the size of the plate so be sure you have an appetite should you order that as the main. Everything is reasonably priced, fast no-frills service, and authentic Cuban food.

Best Cuban food in Houston at this time. I have tried different items from the menu and they are delicious. Customer service and price are on point. Go give it a try
