I lived at Tennison for 3+ years and would recommend for anyone looking to live downtown. The bayou trails are across the street leading to Eleanor Tinsley park, Memorial, and the Heights. There are plenty of bars/restaurants just a 5-10 minute walk away. Sure there is a little noise living next to 45, but not anything unusual for city living. Ashley, the apartment manager, was absolutely wonderful with any requests - maintenance or otherwise and was always available - and awesome! Once the PostHTX building is completed, it will only add to the allure of living there. Skyline sunsets on the patio are unmatched. Neighbors all look out for each other, are courteous and respectful of each others space, and the building is very safe. The units are quirky - some have exposed brick, they all have great appliances, and the only thing I could've used more of was closet space- but I made it work. There are community storage areas on each floor that help out with that. My only complaint is that I didn't move in sooner...Only left to have a yard for my pup/move in with my boyfriend. If they had a bigger unit available at the time we needed it, we would've considered it!

I have nothing but positive things to say about this absolute gem downtown. I lived here twice now (The first time being for 3 years), so I like to think I'm a credible "insider" source. Here's my overview of life at Tennison: Location: This is as good as it gets. You're downtown, next to many amenities and major freeways. A commuter's dream. You're near many attractions, parks, dining, and vibrant nightlife. I'll admit, I was a bit hesitant about the location now that the new "POST HTX" development is up and running, but it actually is nice to have nearby, and isn't really disruptive at all in terms of noise and traffic. I plan to take advantage of the new food options just steps away from my door! The Units: One thing I LOVE about this building are the hardwood, bamboo floors. I've never seen that in any other building and it gives it such a luxurious feel. Plus, very easy to clean. ( I hate carpet and find it to be tacky). The views are stunning from every angle. The exposed pipes and brick walls in some units create even more of a "New York style loft" feel. Management: I have known the property manager, Ashley for over 5 years. She is extremely attentive, and as sweet as can be. It is very apparent that she is passionate about this community and has a great way of making everyone feel welcomed and well-heard. Keeping in mind that this is a Historical building, I've only ever had one maintenance request and Ashley had the ball rolling almost immediately. Community: The residents in this building are rather tight-knit. With a small number of units, most of the residents know each other and seem to get along very well. I've always had the sweetest neighbors and have even formed friendships with a few! There are often events for the residents that allow a chance to get to meet everyone. The Sky Deck is a great shared amenity that is fun for entertaining, or just soaking in the best views of the city. Some nights, you'll even catch fireworks! Affordability: When I first saw the rent pricing, I thought "that is way too good to be true". For decent square footage, unbeatable location, unique architecture, and stunning city views, this is an absolute steal. If you've read this far, It's a no-brainer to live here!

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. I've lived in almost every loft complex downtown and this is by far my favorite. I've been here for a little over 3 months now and Ashley the manager is awesome, SUPER accommodating, and really on top of it. 5 stars for sure.

I just want to say that I have really loved living at the Tennison Lofts. It feels like a true New York style loft. It is such a great location, just at the right spot, tucked at the end of downtown, which is perfect and not congested like inner Downtown. It’s close and has easy access to most of the major freeways. It’s convenient to everything, such as, stores, restaurants, night life and much more.I It’s a small, cozy, quiet community and everyone there is friendly. Whenever I had a request, the property manager was quickly ready to assist me with anything I needed. The property manager is always friendly, positive and very helpful. I recommend staying at the Tennison Lofts.

Tennison has been an excellent place to live. The smaller size makes the building feel more like a community than some of the larger complexes I have lived at in the past, and management has been very responsive to any requests. The location is fantastic, being a five minute walk from main street and the metro rail, and even closer to the bayou running trail. I have been here for two years, with no plans on moving anytime soon.

🫀 Had high hopes for this place because of affordability, nice staff, beautiful leasing office, wood floors, and decent reviews. I’ve put in several work orders for them to fix my water because I never have hot water in the shower. Maintenance is quick to come but each time they claim to have fixed it...
