Everything was amazing! Recommended making a reservation as they get very busy. Parking is around back or on the street. We were sat immediately and out server was great. They had great recommendations and every dish they recommended was a hit. The chicken is so moist and buttery. The burger was very interesting with the crunchy English muffin and lots of melted cheese. The grilled summer squash was so savory. The salad was crisp and refreshing. Very casual place some were in shorts and nice tshirts. You can dress up or down with no issues. As the night goes on the people were dressed nicer. Very dimly lit and candles on every table.

This place is great. Came late on a Saturday night and it was still pretty packed. The service is great everywhere. I got the Nancy cakes which were phenomenal - the cakes were nice and pillowy. Also got the cheeseburger which was pretty good as well but I think I still like the one at squabble better. The portion sizes are a bit small vs expectations but regardless this place is definitely worth checking out

Very unique and delicious menu. We sat outside in their shaded outdoor seating area and it was incredibly enjoyable. They have amazing and unique drinks on the menu including a brine based mocktail you can add alcohol to. The food comes in perfectly sized portions. Not too much. Not too little. It is the perfect middle ground to try a bit of everything and not be overly full. The menu has a good range of dishes and desserts. Order the butternut squash with icecream!!! We ordered it twice. It's a wonderful balance between sweet and savory. My only complaint is the fries had too much salt.

This place ranks in my top 3 restaurants in all of Houston. And that's saying a lot. Every dish is full of flavor, and all of the components just compliment each other so well. I've been here a handful of times, and each time just gets better and better. Oh, and the service is one of the best in the business. Can't wait for the next visit.

This place really impressed me. First the service was AMAZING, which led us to ordered a bunch of dishes to share, even things that I wouldn’t expect to like were sooo good!!!! Presentation was top notch and the cocktails were fun and delicious! The food was so eclectic and well paired that it was a pleasure to eat. We ate all we ordered plus also desserts.. my favorites were the ink pasta and the croquettes and definitely the caramel cake. But I ate all anyways! I’ll be back for sure!

I’ll start by saying I haven’t been to this restaurant since 2018. I remembered thoroughly enjoying my meal and experience. Fast forward to last night and left with very different memories and experiences. Hits: Cocktails - phenomenal Okra app - by far the best dish of the night Misses: Octopus - $30 for chopped up octopus pieces with potatoes swimming in oil. Burger - Actually had to send this back as my mouth was burning from the amount of salt. The second one was slightly less salty, but swimming in so much grease/oil that the bun was soaking. Swordfish pasta - over salted and over buttered. Fries - the sauce that accompanied was inedible. Tasted and looked like lard. While the Nancy Cakes were fine, I can’t justify spending $20 on bread and butter. Server was okay, but came across snooty and left me without a fork for appetizers. We went through 4 bottles of water during our meal to combat the level of salt that we had taken in. The kitchen definitely needs to work out some serious kinks.

Made a reservation at the recommendation of several friends, and it lived up to the (pretty high) expectations. Came on a Friday night and it got busy quickly. Our waiter was incredible from the start; she was obviously extremely familiar with the food menu and knowledgeable about the drink and wine list. She even offered a small taste of 2 wines to allow us to choose one with our meal. The food is exceptional, as expected, but it was the service that really impressed us. Will continue the trend of recommending to friends, and will look forward to the next opportunity to stop in.

Absolutely exceptional. Out of everything we got it’s impossible to pick a favorite. Service was excellent, with the server switching the plates between dishes so sauces wouldn’t mix. Among the dishes the stand outs where the fish collar, which was the most moist fish I’ve ever had in my life, the Nancy cakes, and the croquettes. Believe it or not, the fries where exceptional and where possible the best fries I’ve ever had. Our favorite desert was the Parmesan and black pepper cheese cake. Over all it was an exceptional meal with exceptional service and I would highly recommend going and I look forward to going again.

It absolutely lived up to all of praise. Every dish felt like a new experience, which is SO hard to come by nowadays. I mean, shockingly rare. And every dish was fabulous. Believe it or not, our favorite dish was the roasted grouper. I know they change the menu out, but that goes to show that they contain to shine on their seemingly basic proteins. How that dish was so good is some kind of witchcraft. I also have a very dumb and frustrating allergy, which is always embarrassing to communicate and frequently gets in the way of a good meal. Our server / bartender was so accommodating, took it very seriously, and made my dinning experience that much more comfortable. Honestly when you have an allergy, half of the time people don’t think it’s that serious and won’t double check with the chef and your a little nervous for your entire meal. I had full confidence that they weren’t trying to murder me. (V cool). Easily a 10/10. Go. Sit where you can. It’s totally worth it

By accident found this place and was pleasantly surprised how good it is . I’m from Ukraine originally and at this place you definitely can find some European style cooking ❤️. It’s delicious, I ordered red snapper and my hubby had lamb tartare , we got very good dessert and drinks. Everything was outstanding, we paid only 76$ what is very reasonable for such kind of place. Keep going guys , you doing excellent job !

If this meal was a play, it deserved a long standing ovation! We had a delightful experience at Nancy’s Hustle last night. Everything (and i mean *every* thing) was absolutely on point. We started out with some made in house rye sourdough bread with cultured butter and marmalade. It was crispy, hot and smelled like heaven. Tasted even better. Then got the gem lettuce salad with anchovies and pancetta. Another hit. We followed that with striped sea bass over a parsnip sauce and it was incredible. Last but not least, Nancy’s Cakes. Oh my where do i start. Fluffy pillows of buttermilk corn cakes with cultured butter and roe. To put a bow on the whole thing, the service from Noah was top notch. Do yourself a favor and try this Houston gem

My husband and I found this place in a google search. We chose it because it was in between NASA and our hotel. While the staff seemed a little off putting at first (they insisted the candle stay on our table even though there wasn’t room), the overall experience was amazing. Once we got passed the candle incident I have zero complaints. Our server was very attentive, did an excellent job of explaining the menu, and was so polite and friendly. We don’t drink, but even the Sommelier stopped by to chat and offer suggestions. He actually chose our two desserts and was spot on. We ordered the half chicken and the swordfish. I have no words to describe how perfectly both were cooked and seasoned. I can’t remember the name of what we ordered as an appetizer, but it was soooo delicious. The house made lemonade is literally the best I have ever had; not to sweet, not too tart. If we lived in the area this would be our weekly date night restaurant. As it is, we will be back every time we’re in Houston (unless someone wants to expand, add more locations, franchise). 10/10 Stop in, you won’t regret it.

Food was fantastic. Felt like a tapas restaurant, without upscale comfort dishes. We ordered several plates and ate family style. My favorites were the croquettes, the furs with the garlic sauce, the shrimp, and the beef tips… All were fantastic. The shrimps were especially flavorful. I ate them with the shell and without. If you can hassle the consistency of eating the shell, it has a ton more flavor. I highly recommend you give it a try.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at Nancy’s Hustle in East Downtown Houston. We started with the delicious spicy beef & butter dumplings, which had a perfect blend of sauerkraut, yogurt, and dill. The nancy cakes with cultured butter, smoked trout roe, and chives were also a highlight. Moving on to the main course, the sourdough capellini with poached swordfish, garlic, fennel, and chili was a standout. The swordfish was cooked to perfection, and the combination of flavors was impressive. The cheeseburger on a brioche English muffin was equally delightful, with its American cheese, pickles, and red onion toppings. Having this dinner with my wife made the experience even more special. The restaurant’s cozy atmosphere and the exquisite dishes created a perfect setting for a romantic evening. From the appetizers to the main course, Nancy’s Hustle demonstrated their culinary expertise and attention to detail. Whether for a romantic dinner or a special occasion, we highly recommend Nancy’s Hustle for a memorable and delicious dining experience.

Our server, Kim, was so good to us! She made sure to ask for any allergies, which my boyfriend did have to tree nuts. She pointed out which dishes to be wary of and did a good job explaining what the other dishes were like. We didn't even realize we needed water refills until she'd come and do it for us. For the food, everything was good. I don't think you can go wrong with anything really, but our favorites were the parmesan pancetta croquettes, nancy cakes, hamburger, and the grilled ny strip steak. The dumplings were also really good. Probably our least favorite was the sourdough capellini, not because it was bad, just because it didn't have as much flavor as the other dishes we got. The desserts were really good as well. I really liked the hojicha semifreddo - it's a good dessert for 2, but my boyfriend couldn't eat it (he got the cocoa nib ice scream and sorbet instead)... I couldn't finish the semifreddo. I would highly recommend this place!

Menu is super unique and the food was really good. Definitely on the pricier end, but the quality of the food and drinks makes it worth it. We ordered a few dishes and shared them. Pictured in this review are the Nancy cakes, arguably the most famous menu item and a must-have in my opinion. Only 4 stars because unfortunately when we were dining outside this past weekend, it overwhelmingly smelled like sulfur the whole time we were outside, which really took away from how good the place is. Obviously, not the establishment’s fault at all, but something that must be highlighted for diners coming in. Might be a one off event and will update my review next time I go if it’s different.

The ambience is really nice here. The waiter was polite and offered recommendations that were well received. I ordered the Nancy Cakes; spicy beef + butter dumplings; roasted mushrooms (waiter recommendation) and a cheeseburger as I had heard and read great things about all the items. The Nancy Cakes were delicious and left me craving more. The dumplings... maybe I had high expectations but they weren't for me. The roasted mushrooms were also really great. The cheeseburger was a little salty for me sadly :( As for dessert I had the cocoa nib ice cream and parmesan cheesecake, boath which also weren't for me sadly. They were rich in flavor, though! As for the overall experience, we had unexpected wait times and so the restaurant sent over two pickle parties as a result which was greatly appreciated. Its definitely THE date night spot and Im happy I got to try it out while I was in Houston.

Once I arrived as a walk-in, I was immediately greeted by the host, who sat me at the bar, where I was then greeted by the waiter/bartender within minutes. I chose a sparking rose/cider cocktail and two dishes: dumplings and Nancy cakes. The dumplings were steamed and seasoned to perfection—I enjoyed the sauce. The Nancy cakes were tasty; however, the texture wasn’t my favorite. It could have been more crispy, and the whipped butter sauce needs to be thicker as it would complement the temperature of the cakes. Overall, the location, atmosphere and food is worth giving this place a try. I will be back.

This is a must stop!! Besides the establishment being super cute, they have amazing service and their food is even better! I started with the Butter dumplings. They were light yet packed with a ton of flavor. Then, I had to have the double cheeseburger on a muffin. YES, everything you have heard or read about it is 100% correct. Then, to finish the night, I tried the black pepper cheesecake. Wow, again, it was not too sweet and hit all the right spots. This is a must try if you are in town for a night or live here. Nancy's Hustle, does it right!!!

Went here for dinner on a whim. They do require reservations for indoor seating, it seems. It is very small, but they had bar seating and outdoor seating available when we got there. The food was so delicious, and the desert was an interesting flavor experience. I will visit again, next time I am in Houston.

10/10. We got the Nancy’s cakes with delish house-made butter, lamb dumplings, zucchini, burgers and fries, and a couple drinks. Everything was good.

We enjoyed our second time at Nancy’s Hustle even more than the first! At the end of a long week, it was so nice to be encouraged to take our time with our Thursday night meal. Our server didn’t hurry us at any point, busy as it seemed to be, and our plates came out at just a leisurely enough pace to build a little anticipation between each of them. We felt relaxed and fully satisfied by the end of the meal. I enjoyed every single dish we tried, but highlights were the Nancy Cakes (which I could eat every single day) and the tri-tips. With the first bite of each plate, there’s a completely new texture and flavor experience to enjoy. That definitely goes for dessert, too - I’ve never had anything like the semifreddo or the Parmesan cheesecake before, and I’d call them both very memorable desserts (I left out the picture I took of the cheesecake because it doesn’t do it justice). Thank you to Nancy’s Hustle for the fantastic dining experience!

The melon salad with broth was a slam dunk, like we were drinking the broth by the end. The nancy cakes were also pretty delicious, though admittedly we are not big hot cake people. The chicken was a lot of food but we weren't blown away, we probably should have ordered one of the other recommended items. It was a cool restaurant, they got us in immediately at 5pm with a same day reservation. It had a great vibe, nice wood interior and seating.

Gosh, what can we say about this wonderful restaurant that hasn't been said before? So let me add to the chorus of praise! This is a wonderful, cozy restaurant that is serving some of the most creative food in Houston. As other reviewers have suggested, do make reservations! The service is fantastic, and the food is both delicious and unique. Nancy's is part of the trend of what I think of as semi-savory desserts, and while it may sound unusual, you will become an instant fan the Parmesan-black pepper cheesecake. (Yes. Cheesecake.) If you're a cocktails and wines fan, you will also enjoy all of these creative selections. Have fun. :)

Nancy’s Hustle has an innovative and unique menu. Everything sounds delicious. I really wanted to like this place as much as most other reviews do. It was good but didn’t satisfy my expectations. The best thing were the Nancy Cakes. They were soft, warm, and familiar but also had an interesting spin on ingredients. The chicken was good and so was the linguine, but they sound more promising than what was delivered. I love sauce and wasn’t too excited about the chicken’s fennel aioli. I also felt that the sesame seeds in the pasta were unnecessary. Overall I did have a great time here! I was just expecting something more in terms of flavour and execution. The atmosphere was a good balance of cozy and lively. Would still come back to try other dishes.

Excellent attention to detail and presentation to all plates and drinks! The staff was phenomenal with the service, so awesome seeing everyone work as a cohesive team with management involved! Chicken was super juicy, salad very well dressed, bread super soft and crunchy too! I’ll be back for more!

I’ve read about Nancy’s Hustle for awhile now and has been dying to try it. I was surprised the menu was fairly small. Basically one page for food. But it’s a nice variety to try different things. Started off with the rye sourdough bread, with the butter and marmalade-perfection! Moved on to Nancy’s cakes, the dumplings and Brussel Sprouts. I have read so much about the cakes but I would say that the dumplings stole the show between these although the sprouts were amazing as well. I just wasn’t impressed with the cakes as I thought I would be. The chicken entree was delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly and seasoning was amazing. Finished off with the Parmesan cheesecake, coffee buttermilk Ice cream and the fruit maritozzi with whipped cream & cocoa pecans. I almost feel like the Parmesan cheesecake could have been an appetizer as it wasn’t dessert like. The maritozzi was….confusing. The ice cream blew us away, by far our favorite. The happy hour drinks were reasonably priced and there is a fairly large wine list. The service was great, everyone was very friendly and professional. This was a girls night out and I about had to be rolled out of the restaurant. It was good. Not sure that it lived up to my expectations as I expected to be blown away, but I’d go back and try more of that unusual menu.
