Ordered online takeout and just when we started eating at the house, we found a bug in one of the platters. Needless to say we stopped eating the food and called to get a refund. Unfortunately, no one picked up and my phone call was forwarded to a mailbox which was full so I couldn't even leave a message via phone. So now I'm still hungry and $20 poorer lol. *Edit: I did hear back through the Google maps business chat feature and am getting a refund. I also received a personal phone call from Carlos, the director managing all Houston Halal Guys, apologizing and explaining that they will investigate further as this has never happened before. I appreciate the good customer service. It's sad because I did very much enjoy your food at past experiences. I hope your quality improves with cleanliness.

Gyro platter was delicious! Like the veggie they put together with meal. Made you feel good about yourself. The service was great & prices were a lil expensive. Great location next to bars but also the freeway.

The rudest staff work in this branch. Very racist & not accommodating at all. They also try to charge you extra for food you already paid for. Such a pity since we know HG from NYC and have always enjoyed it. If you want to have some HG food, either order delivery or don’t go to this branch. Hopefully other branches are much better.

Quick fast delicious, with a dose of kind help service. The seating is very limited. Most people seem to grab to-go orders. Extremely fresh and filling. I definitely got my money's worth. I'll be back for sure.

Not a memorable meal but not bad either. It was convenient that it was open at 10p. I had the chicken and falafel combo with the tahini and white sauce. The chicken was a good soft texture and the flavor was pretty good. The rice was also nice and soft but it lacked flavor, even with the sauces. The falafel was a little on the dry side. The lettuce and tomato tasted fresh. I liked that I could chose a small size.

First time visiting this restaurant. Parking is ample. Access is fairly easy of your coming from the Shepherd side. Received a friendly welcome. Took the special, a Platter with three items: beef, rice and lettuce and tomato, a small scoop of hummus and three little pita triangles. $9.99 and the quantity was good. Verdict: The food is delicious. It tastes clean, without added funky seasonings. I have a very sensitive stomach, and it was perfectly happy afterwards, as the food didn't cause any discomfort. Bottle drinks are pricey. Pet peeve: There is an outside toilet. I was at the restaurant about 40 minutes. I tried to use it several times, and the door was always locked. I knocked no answer. I think management should install a second toilet or at least check on the person (anything can happen). I will eat again at the Halal Guys as I found the food delicious.

Very disappointed after eight years I came to Halal guys and it wasn’t the same experience as the streets of New York Small portions less meat and unfriendly customer service

Beef gyro sandwich is always a go to choice, and we are finally able to eat inside of the place. It's great choice to eat and if you havent check it. The white sauce is hella good.

Never order delivery! Ordered extra rice and regular chicken platter. But they sent me small platter in regular packing and they charge for regular size and extra rice on top of it...sick

My son has been here many times so I copied him. He got the small combo plate of beef and chicken shawarma, it came with lettuce and tomato and rice and pita bread and a large chocolate chip cookie and a fountain drink. He told me the red sauce had some major league so we both asked for one small squirt on each order along with their white sauce. I copied his order verbatim, sure glad I did....I'll be bringing his mom on my next visit, she will love it. Brought my wife to Halal Guys and it wasn't quite as good as my previous visit. 3 stars. Wifey got the falafel plate, they were good. I had the chicken and beef gyro combo, it was good. Both plates came with rice, lettuce, tomato and pita bread. Anything else is and extra charge. 30 plus dollars for fast food is too much. This location has two inside tables and some more on the outside.

Vegan friendly. Fast food Falafel 😋. Also the usual Proteins. Remodel of restaurant, lot, and street of location. Kudos 👏.

Will to be frank with you I had so many halal guys from so many places around the United States but this one was not the best one. I have tried chicken and beef and they will not the best I ever had there was too many other options that I could take. How about the service is fine and staff are nice m

this is the most reliably good, open late, real food not fast food place that I have found in Houston! everything there is delicious, everybody there is so nice, and the portions are huge,(I always have enough to eat twice), I highly recommend it

These guys are the best! I placed an order online and made a mistake. They were super helpful in fixing it and making sure I got what I wanted. Even with my mess up, everything was perfect.

The food disappointed me. It was kind of cold and lack flavor. Not as good as the food truck, but I guess it's hard to keep the same quality once you become a corporate. Staffs were nice and the place was clean.

I have been going here for maybe four years and I am never disappointed. Compared to other Halal guys I have been to this place is has the most courteous, professional, and friendly people. The manager is always present and always helping his team. I love this place and the staff.

I came here and was very well Welcomed. I enjoyed the food and the cleaned environment. Spoke to Manager Daniel and was taken care of with no issues. He recommended what to get and turned out to be very delicious, very kind of him. Good working fast environment. I definitely will be coming here again.

The food is amazing, the service was perfect, the price is very good compared to food quantity. The eat in area is very close and cozy. The parking is limited and the parking lot is not created for large vehicle, it is best for these type vehicles to park across the street. It was a wonderful 1st time visiting to this restaurant. Looking forward to my next visit.

I eat at this Halal Guys pretty frequently. The folks who work at this location are always courteous and the food is consistently good. Highly recommend if you've never visited.

Good, healthy, and spicy. Great service from friendly people who know how to make spicy food. Get five or more stripes.

As someone who is visiting Houston, but also regularly frequents The Halal Guys cart on 6th Ave/W 53rd St - I was very surprised when the clerk basically handed me a burrito bowl… would go great with some beans or cheese, but it’s not the same. Very happy they still have the white sauce though!

I have tasted halal guys first time in Houston. I have ordered combo over rice. Beef gyro was good but I don’t like the chicken. I have moved from NY so I know the taste very well. It was just fine. I still miss halal guys cart the one in Manhattan. I might try other location in Houston in future.

Ok food. Great fries. Their lettuce provider should be better. Meat, rice and sauce are good. They fed us during the power outage last year and they didn’t close their door like all other restaurants nearby. That’s why I like them.

One of the few times I get here from Rosharon. Not bad, the beef was alittle over cooked. But still pretty good. Next time I want to put it in a sandwich.

Halal Guys made its name as a staple of the New York City street food scene, and I have yet to be disappointed by any of its brick-and-mortar locations, with this one as no exception. I always get the regular combo platter which is well-priced for the portion size and is quickly and easily available thanks to the fast and efficient service at the store. After a late night, I'll often hop off the highway, then pop in and out, and hop back on the highway to get right home. Both the classic chicken and beef are seasoned well. The lettuce, tomatoes, and rice add to the flavor profile to create a fulfilling meal. Topped with white sauce, the spicy red sauce, and a few slices of pita, you can't go wrong with a classic platter.
