Lots of potential, but unfortunately is absolutely covered in trash and overrun with people on 4 wheelers and dirt bikes. A glimpse of our collective future perhaps. Y'all seen mad max? Won't be back. Too depressing.

Great early morning/sunrise walk. Best are its Trees on both sides along the trails and the pond. One thing to note if your first visit, retrace back along the same trail you walked through to return back to where you started. Bcoz each path/trail leads to a park exit. Most trails/paths are not in loop, if you are walking to explore like me.

My favorite park to come with anyone! So big and beautiful. Lovely and relaxing views. Lots of shade and long paths. <3

Peaceful trails, paved and unpaved! Multiple bodies of water with beautiful treeline surrounding them. Vast valleys of serene tranquility. No hydration stations so bring plenty of water especially in the summer. While hiking this park I came across a herd of wild goats, this was on an unpaved path. Very neat discovery. There is a creek as well that may be good for fishing. There was a playground area for kids near the parking area as well. Highly recommend for some simple natural decompressing time.

Such a great park, I've been coming here for years, great place to spend time with family. Playground, Baseball field , soccer field, football field, also bridge, lake in the middle and areas to sit. Just a reminder don't leave valuables in your vehicle!

The park is characterized by its expansive layout, providing a generous amount of space that caters to the needs of runners, walkers, and hikers alike. Its beauty is further accentuated by the serene lakes and surrounding natural landscapes, making it an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts seeking tranquility and scenic views. However, it is essential to exercise caution and be aware of certain safety considerations, particularly during the late evenings and nights. Recent incidents of crime, including a tragic death, have been reported during those hours, prompting local authorities to advise visitors to avoid the park during this time. It is crucial to stay informed about these developments through news sources and take appropriate measures to ensure personal safety. Conversely, during the mornings and daytime, the park is widely regarded as a secure environment suitable for people of all ages. Families can be seen enjoying their time together, engaging in various recreational activities and appreciating the natural surroundings. The park serves as a vibrant hub for community gatherings, picnics, and social interactions, fostering a sense of unity and shared enjoyment. In light of the contrasting conditions, it is recommended to plan your visits to the park accordingly. Taking advantage of the park's safety during the mornings and daytime allows for a delightful experience, where you can relish the sights, engage in physical activities, and create cherished memories with your loved ones. However, it is prudent to respect the cautionary advice regarding late evening and nighttime visits, ensuring that you prioritize personal safety and make alternative plans during those hours. By being mindful of these factors, visitors can strike a balance between enjoying the park's scenic beauty and recreational opportunities while staying informed and taking necessary precautions to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for themselves and their companions.

This park has so much potential, but every time I take my son here, there's trash all over the place. I also didn't feel very safe the last couple of times we went. We started to take a walk on the trail, but quickly turned around when I got an eerie feeling that someone was hiding in the woods and getting ready to jump out and get us lbvs..

Came here because it seemed like a nice park with a lake. I don't know if it's natural or unkempt but there was lots of retained water everywhere. Glad the trail is paved and dry so we could walk; it was a little like walking through swamp though (because of retained water along side). It took about 1.5 miles to get to the lake which didn't look that great. Also, I wish there were regular restroom instead of porta potties.

Nice park, paved and unpaid trails. Good parking lot with attached playground. Only downside was a good amount of small trash (plastic water bottles etc) on all trails.

Big park with a zoo, lake with paddle boats, a cafe in the middle of the park, and a beautiful Japanese garden.

We love walking our dogs early in the morning! We wish there was less trash, though. People should also not be riding their horses and 4-wheelers there either.

I love to bike here. Just wish there were more places in Houston to actually use my bike safety, but unfortunately most of Houston isn't built like that. Otherwise I'd come here more often (I know that isn't the park's fault obviously). That's the only reason I don't come here more. It's such a gorgeous place.

I love this park. The walkways are nice and long if you like long walks. It's a great place to take your dogs, too. If you make it to the pond, it is very nice. It has a place for the kiddies to play, too, as well as picnic places.

This park is absolutely beautiful and I am writing this review solely based on the trails and me and my son have not played at the playground yet. As you walk through a beautiful trail filled with friendly people, youโ€™ll see horseback riders, dirt bikers, quads, and walkers. Youโ€™ll walk between the trees, over the bridge and around the bend to reveal a beautiful body of water that you can sit by, walk around, take pictures infront of, etc. you wonโ€™t be disappointed by this nature walk thatโ€™s for sure

Beautiful, Vast, lots to see and enjoy on the many long pathed trails they provide. There was a beautiful pond and river that we enjoyed sitting next to.. now the entrance was drenched in trash and garbage, there were many homeless people on the benches under the shaded areas next to the kids playground which was creepy, but if youโ€™re not going there for the tables or playground itโ€™s an incredible spot to have some adventures in!! My toddler, dog, husband and I really enjoyed our two hour walk it was hot but the rain hit us on our way out so we felt blessed ๐Ÿ˜‡ Check the spot out! You wonโ€™t regret it!

Best kept secret. Gorgeous park with two small lakes, wide concrete paths, lots of trees. Wish visitors would keep it clean. So much trash.

Beautiful secret gem of a park in Houston where you can feel like youโ€™re in the wilderness at times. Huge with lots of trail, so you can get hike in, as much as 10 miles or more with lots of variety and very little repetition. And best of all, the ponds serve the purpose of flood detention, protecting the surrounding neighborhood. I wish people wouldnโ€™t litter there, though. The litter is really unattractive in an otherwise beautiful park.

Very beautiful park with great scenery. Downside is there is a lot of weirdos that tend to hide in the woods that masterbate to women/kids passing by. Please be cautious coming to this park and never come alone. Hide all personal belongings/don't have anything important in your car because they break into cars consistently (especially early mornings).

I love taking lunch here. Also, if you come at the right time you can walk the submersible bridges while still under water. Just wear your rain boots and mind the fish.
