I don't even know where to start. I have stayed at this location years ago and didn't think twice about coming again. I wish I would have read the reviews before booking, but considering the Marriott branding, my expectations were higher. A facelift is definitely needed. The halls have an old mildew smell that is noticeable from the moment you step off the elevator. The room was not cleaned. I found hair on both the desk and in the bathroom. The shower floor has a gritty feel to it, which makes me terrified that I didn't brink shower slippers. The shampoo/ shower gel rack is rusted and has what appears to be black mildew on it. They are missing all basic amenities that should be at a hotel... no microwave, no ice machines on each floor, no iron and ironing board. No "convenient store" area that is typical for guest to purchase who may have forget things when packing. The phone was filthy and had something caked on both the ear part and the mouth part. The wallpaper was visibly peeling off of the wall in my room, the blinds were broken and could not be lowered fully to blow out the city lights. The ONLY good thing I have seen is that the location is right next to the Galleria mall, so if you are a shopper, you will be a minute away, but if you don't like traffic, you may be frustrated.

Hotel is in a great location but the air conditioning in each of the rooms are very loud. It was hard to sleep here. Rooms are clean and the hotel has a nice vibe when you go in. It's a nice go to when you're in the galleria. I would come back but I'll have to check the rooms AC first. This wasn't my first time here and it happened before.

I’ll start with saying that most of the staff members we interacted with were pleasant. Other than that, this is the worst hotel experience I’ve had. The hotel over promises and under delivers vastly. The carpeted walls were stained, the sheets on the bed didn’t fit the mattress and worst of all, our room was filled with mosquitoes. My husband and I left that room with mosquito bites all over our bodies. We’d have been better off camping in the woods. We left the place feeling congested — probably due to mold because we smelled it while there. Honestly, don’t stay there.

As I was walking to my room there was a general odor on the 6th floor similar to the smell of mildew. Once entering the room, I saw a large cockroach in the bathroom. I went downstairs to notify the front desk staff (I had pictures) and they assigned me a new room. I asked if there was anything else they could do to rectify the situation, in which they then provided free parking. The new room I was placed in (room 733) had water stains on the bed room wall (toward the right side) and the toilet water pressure was low requiring multiple flushes. I do not recommend staying here.

For this being the Galleria location it’s pretty disappointing. We were at the bar and no one was there to take our order. We asked if we could do a quick interview in the patio and the lady working the bar with the dragonfly said no and we would have to contact the marketing department blah blah blah. We wanted to change locations. She didn’t have the liquor we wanted for a margarita but she wouldn’t let us cancel our order because, “she had already started it”. When she went to ring us up her system was down so she wrote out the ticket on a sheet of paper. For a Marriott boutique hotel it’s no wonder they only have three stars. Also, the employee we interacted with was not very service oriented. I won’t patronize there again.

The room smells like it got blasted with cleaner right before I walked in. The remotes are non existent. Pulling down the blinds felt like the amount of effort that goes into hoisting a sail. The staff was friendly enough. The bar only had capacity for super basic stuff.

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any hotel. They compare hundreds of booking websites and usually will have rates a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is the best rated in this area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure won't be disappointed. Magnificent experience, great location, delectable steak at the restaurant next door, great bar in the lobby, impressive customer service, pool and pool table, and even an exercise facility in an excellent modern fun vibe! Definitely worth the stay! Not to mention walking distance from the mall!

The outside and the lobby look great, but those are deceiving... The rooms are dated and cheap feeling. Our bathroom was gross with water stains and cracked tiles. We also requested extra towels which never arrived. The staff was friendly, but it didn't make up for everything else.

You can stay here. The rooms are small, but if you're just sleeping their it's fine for that. Its in a nice area. Justin from the other google reviews, he don't work there no more, we called and asked. We got Tidus, who is incredibly nice and helpful, made our check in super easy, gave us info about the area, and where to eat. Their pool is open 24hrs, but it's really small. But the lobby has a cute atmosphere.

This hotel is usually a great choice for the Galleria but I will not be booking again due to poor service. I was booked to stay Mon & Tues nights but my travel plans changed and I wouldn't be able to check in until Tuesday. I called the hotel and since they were oversold for Tuesday they couldn't change my reservation to cancel the Monday night reservation. I was told to check-in online Monday (which I did) to secure my room for the entire stay. The hotel then marked my reservation as a no show, canceled my room and charged me for both nights even though the rate policy says 1 night fee for cancelation. The hotel made no effort to remedy this situation even though I am a platinum Bonvoy member. Extremely disappointing service especially since I called and spoke with the manager on Saturday before my Monday reservation.

Property is run down. Out of order signs posted everywhere—ice machine, elevator, kiosks. The property is pet friendly and our guest room smelled like dog, especially the towels. Dogs barking in multiple guest rooms on our floor. Signage in the hallways is missing letters where people have peeled them off. Elevator in the parking garage smelled like vomit and body odor. The one positive is the location—within walking distance to the Galleria mall.

I never used Aloft and wanted to see what it is by selecting it this time. The hotel is located close to businesses I needed. I arrived at night, but the reception was open and receptionist quickly found reservation and handed room key. The room had modern look, bed was good and clean, but the mail problem was motel-style AC unit (Amana) which was too loud when cooling and was starting and stopping compressor with a loud hum. I had to turn it completely off to get a sleep. In the morning I discovered that the parking is not included in the room price, and the hotel guests (not visitors) have to pay $35 per night just to park the car. The hotel has some minimum "breakfast" (not included) with coffee and some sandwiches. But since it was not included, I went to IHOP nearby for better choice. This place is OK for travelers on budget, but it could be better if I knew that all services are extras and parking is pricey.

Remember to use HotelDully.ᴄᴏm when booking any room. They compare countless hotel sites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the most well known in this area. I've been staying here for years. If you stay for a few nights you won't regret it. Everyone here was so friendly and this location was so nice and clean. The only complaint I have is for the price of a room you would think there would be microwaves in the rooms.

I stayed at this location over the weekend and it was a pleasant experience. Our room was clean. The staff very all very friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff were all fantastic. This location sells food items. Wifi is available to guest. Checkout process was painless.

First the staff was great. This hotel is very tired and dated and doesn't meet brand standards. First in my room while clean, the TV was tiny and probably a 40 inch and changing each channel took 3 seconds. Yes 3 full seconds from pressing the button to the channel changing and sound on. The kind of cool gray subway tile was painted blue grout and all and was chipped away in many parts. Lots of scuffs, scrapes and scratches were on everything in and out of the room. The AC volume varied significantly from fan on to AC on making consistent white noise from it impossible. The toiletries used to be decent in A lofts and now they are pretty lame. This is probably the new brand standard. The gym was good. Aloft hotels are all cookie cutter nearly identical which is sometimes nice as you know what you will get. This one was pretty fun down though. Clean though and the staff was great but not up to brand standards.

6 false fire alarms 1 walk down 9 flights of stairs to a back ally and no explanation later front desk won’t answer calls or Marriott Chat. This is the worse Marriott experience I have ever had. Horrible horrible horrible stay and I I’ve only been here 4 hours.. please don’t waste your time with this. There are plenty Hilton options on the area.

Clean but small rooms. The service is basic. Got ice-cream for national ice-cream day which was a thoughtful gesture.

Bare bones and sparse. Only the bed with literally only a wooden plank to sit on and very small desk with cheap, hard plastic chair. Lighting was poor. Bath was large, but a very poor use of space. Theme - grey flannel warehouse. Might be fine for some, but not for me. I won't go back there again.

ALoft is a well dressed hip outdoor patio with cozy inside seating. The rooms are simple yet comfortable and accommodating. The staff are very social and the shower is AHmazzing.

The hotel location is good. This is is a low-end hotel. The rooms and furnishings are old. The facility is not kept up to standard hotel policy. The phone in the room didn't work. The towels had stains on them. The management isn't customer friendly.

Ugh. Where do I begin. First, the parking structure could use more signage for check in. You have to up to the second floor then take the elevator back down to the bottom to check in. There isn’t really a place to park and unload. Check is was fine, but it makes no sense to me that if I check in online and get a digital key it NEVER works. So I have to go down and request a physical key. When I got to the room it seemed dingy and not up to par. The bathroom was even worse. There was a missing soap or shampoo dispenser on the shower wall and the remaining one had a liquid in that had three layers! I called down and asked if that was normal and they said they now use a “combo hair/body gel” and that it was no big deal. Gross. The bar downstairs was the only decent part of the hotel but the pop table was beat up to a point it was unusable and the outside area had a giant fire pit that was pushing out heat in 90° weather. Also, there was no AC in the halls or elevators so that’s awesome if you are in Houston. Ugh. Obviously, if you can, stay somewhere else.

This is my first of what is supposed to be three nights here and I’m ready to leave. The staff is pleasant. But it’s apparent the room has been severely neglected. Only one light over the sink works, there are no shower amenities (the canisters and pumps are missing from the holders on the wall), there is no hair dryer, the remote control for the tv is missing, the toilet and toilet seat are broken, there is an ironing board but no iron, a carpet tile is peeling from the floor, an electrical outlet is missing it’s cover plate. Seriously? I can’t believe this is a Marriott property in the middle of Houston.
