My coworker raved about this place, so today we took the trip to enjoy the experience. We had a few dishes that included beef, chicken and goat. The flavors were like nothing I’ve tasted before. The spices gave beautiful aromas that danced on my tongue. The servers were attentive. After we finished our entrees we drank a yogurt blend with mango purée. The drink had a good balance of sweetness and it is very refreshing. The atmosphere is great for family, big lunch groups or a nice meal in a booth. I will be taking more of my friends there without a doubt.

Easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had. First time here and Ali was really helpful going over the menu with us. Everything we had was great. Very flavorful, and fresh. Can’t wait to try everything on the menu

Lamb chops are to die for, the best I've had. The place was full but this didn't impact their service at all, great servers and quick service. It was my first visit and I assumed it was a fine dining restaurant based on what I heard, however, it's a casual dining place. The food quality is amazing regardless. Desserts were okay. Would love to try more from their menu on my next visit.

From the quality of food to the amazing service from the staff, Aga's is quite a treasure and a must do while in Houston. I dined in here in a party of 4, arrived around 11:30am on a Saturday. We did not have to wait for a table, but the place quickly became packed! We ordered a variety of dishes, including their famous goat chops. We also had a variety of their drinks which were all delicious. Portion sizes were generous and prices were not too bad. Overall, such a positive experience that left me wanting more.

First time here an absolutely loved it!!! Our server, Shlok, was so so friendly and helpful. Everything was served super fast and fresh and tasted delicious. Service is unmatched. Had people checking on us, picking up plates so fast, making us laugh and explaining the menu. Complete dining experience. Clean place. Everything was wonderful!!!

Solid 5/5 all around. The service is great and so is the food. This place is popular so does get packed. All dishes are flavorful and the goat chops are a must. It’s perfectly season and cooked perfect. The remaining items are all great - most dishes are that same base with different meats so you can definitely get the meat/veggie of your choice with the gravy.

A flavour that never could go wrong on any choice of food you have here. If are looking for lunch or dinner you must try this place, the place is usually packed on weekends but it’s worth the wait. You should have read what to get here but once again THE LAMB CHOPS are something special here always. This place is full of flavour in all plates, the mint refresher is much more refreshing than it sounds. Try it out on the basis of this review. The service is also really fast and friendly servers. For sure they will help you to make a choice if you are lost in the menu reading what to get. 😉❤️😉

Absolutely wonderful food. The servers and service staff are top tier! Our server knew our needs before we did! He recommended wonderful food and he made sure that we were were satisfied. If more establishments had this level of exceptional service the world would most definitely be a happier place. All smiles over here. There is nothing negative to post about this restaurant. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

BEST DESI FOOD EVER! No wait for a table of 8! They have ample space and really good customer service. Every staff member greeted us with a smile and everyone was very kind. The food was really tasty and came out hot. Perfect place to take your family!

Aga's is absolutely worth the hype. Easily one of the best restaurants in town, all the dishes I tried were absolutely delicious. All were served quickly, fresh and hot. The goat chops in particular stand out as a must try. I went during the early lunch time On the weekend and despite how busy it was I was seated instantly. When leaving I did notice a line had formed so if you want to avoid the wait go early! I will say though their outdoor set up is very nice with ice cold water available for everyone in line.

This was our first time eating here. My wife was wanting to try some Indian food so I decided bring her here after reading all the good reviews. Let me say they weren't wrong. This place is awesome. The service is great and the food is even better. We had some goat chops and they were very tender and delicious. We are definitely coming back to try other dishes. Our experience was great. I highly recommend.

Omg, my husband and I have been craving Indian food since we've moved to Houston and he found this place. When I tell you they know what they're doing BABY they know what they're doing!! I love Butter chicken and it was bomb, I can't wait to come back and the service is on point the staff are so nice and attentive.

This place is packed and jumping!! It’s really big and it’s churning out high volume and the service is on point. The food comes out quick and is hot! Lots of servers and very coordinated. Great customer service and attentive staff. Quantities are huge and absolutely need to box hence the higher prices are not so bad. Also love the complementary salad that comes towards the beginning of food and love their chutneys!!

All the food is so good and there are lots of options. It can be slow to be seated especially on the weekends since it is so popular. However it is well worth the wait and they have fans and water outside to keep you cool and hydrated. My favorite was the goat chops so good.

Never fails to impress. Went to Aga’s after more then 4 years and it is still the same. Waiting time for food is literally 5 min. Very prompt owing to the huge number of turn up of customers. The service people are very professional. One thing I didn’t like was that they don’t smile or don’t give a warm vibe. Very robotic i should say. However, Food is very good, fresh and yummy. Love the mint lemonade. It is freshly made not store bought. Goat chops are good too. But I doubt it is goat. They are literally dino chops. The pricing is good too. They have not hiked the price too much like some other dine in place. Place is clean and well kept.

Really nice restaurant that serves authentic Indian foods. When you first walk in you get the feeling, that you entered a buffet style restaurant. But you soon realize it’s a full serve restaurant. The menu is available through the QR code at your table. There’s plenty of pictures showing the food, as well as a really good description of the entrees. The food to me is served family style, or I should say. The food served is enough to feed 2-3 people, so you could order a few meals to share amongst your party. Goat Peshawari Karahi- Authentic Peshawari style Karahi, cooked with tomatoes, serrano peppers, and other traditional spices & herbs. This entree was amazing, the flavor was so good I literally contemplated licking my plate. On top of that the goat meat was very tender, and didn’t have a gamey taste to it at all. Lahori fish and fries- a unique flavor profile to this dish. I want to say it tasted like to much sage to me. Bu I’m not even positive it is actually sage being used. So It was just ok to me, it’s a 50/50 chance of ordering again. Tempura Shrimp- good pieces of shrimp and served with tartar sauce. I would've like the tempura coating to be a lot more crispier. Goat Biryani- Traditional Pakistani dish made with seasoned long-grained rice layered with tender goat cooked in a thick gravy. I love, love, love this rice dish.

The food here was exceptional, each dish I tried was a powerful surprise of flavor. I generally do not eat spicy things and getting everything as "mild" helped. Still built a little heat but still enjoyable for someone who doesn't eat spices often. I will definitely come back for the food. Service was good, fairly standard. The atmosphere was busy with a lot going on at all times. If you are going here you are going for the food simple as that.

Certainly did not disappoint!! High expectations but also high satisfaction. I personally am not a huge fan of the BBQ (a bit soggier than expected) but the rest of the menu was fantastic and some of the best I’ve ever had! Will definitely return!

Great Indian food - the flavors are amazing. Most of the dishes have regular spices, which is on the more spicy side. Service is great, and the food arrives pretty quick. There are 3 separate seating areas, it's one of the largest restaurants I've ever seen. This is the place to go if you like Indian food or would want to try it out.

No words, absolute food festival. Quality, taste and service, everything was so good. We had a thanksgiving dinner gathering and it was a group of 40 ppl, there were lot of such groups but their service was never delayed. All the dishes we tried are full of flavors and very tasty but their Goat chops are the best, should not miss.

I absolutely loved the food here! Definitely flavorful and filling. The goat chops are a go to when you come here so I definitely recommend that :D Javier was helping us this afternoon by answering questions and recommending foods fitting to our palette. I enjoyed his company and opinions so ask for him because he will care for you! I will be coming back again !!

Aga’s are literally the go to for so many enthusiasts and ethnic south Asians. It’s an easier choice than some other establishments for sure. For one the service is top notch and the venue is inviting and can host more than some of its competitors combined. That’s all good, but that’s not what sets this place apart. In the end, what’s a restaurant without its food? I’ve yet to have anything here I didn’t like. My go-to are the Biriyani, Aga’s BBQ Platter and the Chicken Karahi.

Everything we ordered was delicious!! More impressive was the organization and customer service. Efficient electronic check-in system for a table, ALL the staff was friendly, well-spoken, attentive… and they turn people through there quickly… place is huge. Maybe hundreds dining there… for a Friday night we waited less than 10 mins at 7pm and the place was packed. Food came out quick and logistics were on point!!

Aga’s stood true to its reputation, insane goat chops. The masala was perfectly cooked. The chops were perfectly charred and the quantity was wholesome. We were served with sharp and unassuming yet conversant staff. The restaurant itself is well lit and ventilated and obviously a lot of great food and it’s aroma on the tables served.

We loved this place! It was the first time we had Pakistani food in Houston and it could not be better. We had nihari, naam bread, goat chops and everything was amazing. The service is really attentive and really cares about their costumers. We had the pleasure to meet the owner’s today and we were so well treated that we felt so special. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to go back! ☺️

I heard about the goat chops from a friend (DID NOT DISSAPOINT!!!). The service was quick even though the place was busy. All the staff was so kind. The greeter at the front door and those who took and served my order were very helpful. Since I hadn't been there beforeI also went with the chicken curry recommendation made by my order taker. All the food was so flavorful. I will ask for more spice next time because I love my food sPiCy🌶🌶🌶

Aga’s Restaurant is pretty good, but my leftovers were not. It’s best to finish your food while you’re still there. The chicken lollipops were really good! I also tried some chicken balls and beef and they are pretty interesting. The biryani was not that great to me, but it was a good portion size.

This place is LEGIT! Great variety of curries to choose from. We had the achari chicken bolti and it was that good I order a portion to go. We tried the signature curry which didn’t disappoint. Can’t wait to go back and taste more curries.

The best thing I had there was the goat chops for its flavor, but it wasn't the most filling. I also just asked for recommendations on what we should order and the waitress was very helpful with deciding what to order. My party of 6 was very full after ordering about 8-9 dishes. Total was around $200. Also the mango lassi was a must if your party cannot handle spice. I also saw almost every table order a pitcher of it. The drink was delicious.

Probably the best spot in Houston for Pakistani dining. Have been here multiple times and not been disappointed. Recently, tried their lolipop chicken, chicken 65, chicken karahi and the bihari kebab and all of them were top notch in taste. Recommend them all. Also tried the mint drink which was quite good. This place is quite busy but the service was quite fast. Overall recommended!

I can’t explain it been very long time I have spent some time to Dine-In. We ordered Chicken Sizzlers plate, Goat Biryani and Bullet Naan for a family of three. Awesome food, never felt of eating goat biryani in my life but it was amazing. Lastly took Rose Falooda which was damn good too. We had a wait list of 37 parties before us and took 1.5hrs to get in. Our friends encouraged us to wait in best hopes that our Houston, TX trip to make it worth. That food was worth the time. Couple of other families have pure vegetarians who loved the veg food too. Overall well satisfied with food, serving time and ambience in the restaurant. One Thing to have this restaurant to achieve more success is to effectively plan the waitlist. It’s nothing less of a fish market I used to see in my hometown. While inside the restaurant ambience was good, but outside is a mess and unappealing.

This Indian & Pakistani restaurant stands as one of the best in Texas, maybe even the entire US—no need for further praise. My two cents is arrive early and skip the busy peak hours for a better experience.

  • 5/5 Lucky B. 3 months ago on Google New
The food here is incredible…highly recommend the goat karahi. The restaurant is very busy but they do offer an online waiting list which will notify you via text and phone call that your table is ready and your place will be held for 5 minutes. As you rush up to the hostess, they will tell you to stand aside until your name/number is called. Don’t worry, you will be called and escorted to your table. Our bill (receipt attached) was less than $100 for everything including tax and 20% tip. This is on my list of “must eat and repeat” for great food and good value.

Ava’s is an Indian & Pakistani cuisine in Houston since 2001. Their menu is 100% Zabiha Halal. Food taste is very good. Their service is great. Atmosphere is excellent. Refreshments like Mint Lemonade and mango drink are good. Very good family restaurant. Big party hall is there.

Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Behari kabab and Nehari was amazing. And Masala chai is on Point. We also ordered lollipop chicken and Makhni chicken. They are good but for appetizer I recommend chicken pakora and for drink Mango Lassi. NOTE you can get amazing and fresh Pan outside as well but that Pan shop cash only.

Ooh buddy! The food is fantastic and it came out real fast, so come hungry and ready to eat. Goat chops and chicken lollipops are highly recommended. Homemade masala tea afterwords hit the spot. The servers are kind and quick. Packed up our leftovers for us. The owner stopped by to say hello, very friendly man. There was a table next to us with 10 customers and the food came out in 5 minutes. So I’d say great for big parties.

I think this is the most hyped Indian/ Pakistani restaurant in Houston. Heard so much about it. It was my first time here and it didn’t disappoint me. The server came immediately to take the order, she was helpful to choose the items. Surprisingly the wait time for food was just 5-7 minutes. Whereas indo/pak restaurants usually take 15-20 minutes to serve this type of food. All of the items we ordered were delicious. Chicken lollipop and lamb chops were the showstoppers. In future I wish to visit Agha’s again.

We’ve lived in Asia and had some amazing Indian food. This place is the closest we’ve had to date. The service is not fancy, but the food makes up for it. Will be eating here more often.

Oh, my! My first experience with Aga's was exceptional. The mixed BBQ platter, Palak Paneer, Grilled Vegetable Pulao Rice, and Naan were super. I'll be having some more of their food over time. Yum! 😋

Very disappointed. I ordered 4 plates of chops for take out. I received 4 chops that were eaten . Kitchen needs to have more quality control fir take outs. It's not cheap either. $5 a chop . So they should give full chops not eaten ones.

Amazing as always, Aga’s Restaurant never disappoints with their delicious food and great service. Visited today to indulge in deliciousness. We ordered Lahori fish & tandoori wings for appetizer. For main course ordered Goat Chops, Malai Kabob, & Chicken Haandi. Along with Mango Mojito. Definitely recommend if you’re visiting Houston and craving desi food. They have plenty of yummy dishes on the menu to satisfy all taste palate. Indeed one of the best Pakistani/Indian restaurant.

This restaurant is absolutely impeccable. Immediately upon arrival, we got seated and the waiter came over to make recommendations for us. We pretty much ordered one of everything. The food was delicious and the service was even better. The manager who checked on us consistently was sufiyan. He is fantastic. We appreciate you so much. We will definitely come back to see you.
