Updated review: I was a fan until they stopped wearing masks. Excellent selection of fresh water and salt water fish and supplies. Very clean store and friendly staff. Impressive selection of aquarium plants and coral. Nice to have another locally fish store.

Stopped in to stock up my new 120 gallon saltwater tank. We usually visit Gerbers in Dayton, but decided to check out this store as it is a lot closer to us. First off, not a single employee was wearing a mask or social distancing nor were about half the customers. Secondly, my daughters and I waited for someone to gather the fish that we had selected, but no one ever acknowledged or helped us. We eventually just left empty handed and will be traveling to Gerbers. We won’t be back.

There were about 5 employees working when I visited, and none of them were wearing masks. A couple of them kept getting close to us, so we left. The owner said this is a "polarizing" topic, but I won't give my business to a store where showing even the slightest respect for your customers' health is considered "polarizing."

These are ultimate professionals. We have been customers since the owner bought the business and turned it into the Fish Gallery. This week they rescued us when our 55 gallon tank failed and was leaking. They got us a new tank and came and installed it lickety split. It is clean, our live plants are flourishing and it looks beautiful. It is a joy to shop at the store because it is so gorgeous. Go see the 5,000 gallon tank on display.

I have been in the hobby for several years now and have become quite fond of the staff and their knowledge. They have been very helpful through every step of my experience. Jen, Jeremy and Tori have always been top notch!

Although they are a clean store with generally excellent stock, we had to ask the employees to stay distant 6 times. Not one employee wore a mask and as we backed up and asked them to stay distant they repeatedly pressed closer. It's really not a mystery why we're at a level 3 emergency during this pandemic with people behaving this way. It's a shame we won't be able to return to the store. Pre covid we exclusively stocked our 250 gal and 170 gal there. EDIT: I emailed owner with date and time and explanation of events. No reply was made by the owner, which tells me the response on google is for show. This store does not care about its customers. Good thing there are other quality fish stores nearby.

Very impressed! We drove over from the other side of town on a whim, not knowing what to expect. The place was clean, well organized and the staff was super nice and informative. We will definitely be returning and plan on taking others who are in the hobby. This place is worth a visit, no matter where you live in the city. Hands down best fish store I have been to in many, many years.

I'm a beginner goldfish keeper and I'm so glad my husband found this place. The selection is the best in town. The associates are super knowledgeable and friendly. Patrick and Jasmin both were extremely helpful they helped me the whole way through from getting my fish, treating my water, and setting up my tank.

The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. There livestock selection is great and in my experience of high quality. I have never had a fatality. I wanted a new all in one small aquarium and they were out of all of the popular models all at the same time. I walked out with a mystery snail.

They know their fish! A very nice boy was helping us out. I had done a lot of research before hand about what products to get and he was very well informed and had feedback for all of my comments/questions/concerns. I bought my first fish here and also got another fish at a large chain store (both betta fish) and keep each in their own 5.5 Gallon tanks. The betta purchased here is larger, happier and more responsive. There is a reason why you need to avoid those chains. Not to mention I found my betta here for $12.99! Super cheap! The prices of everything might seem high when you walk in and see tanks for $10k, however consider that they are quality and very large. If you want to buy Prime or even a fish, their prices are not only reasonable but BETTER than amazon. Update: this fish died 3 weeks after purchase. They do not have a policy for livestock… I ripped into the chain store for their betta… and it’s still alive. The fish were both kept in SEPARATE 5.5G tanks. This fish got sick and it’s color faded. I think it was making bubbles in the store, I tried to move it to different rooms and change its decor, it just wasn’t happy after 2-3 weeks. The last 2 days before it died were just heartbreaking.

I got a "in wall" 150G fish tank setup by Fish Gallery. I had an excellent experience with all the people whom I dealt with in this process. All the staff were very helpful, forthcoming with information, Their process was super fast right from the time I contacted the first to delivering the fish considering that this is a holiday season and being located at Austin which is quite far away for them. They also arranged for all resources that are required for the build including the "picture frame". The final product turned out nothing short of amazing. I would definitely recommend Fish Gallery to anyone.

A fish tank where you can sit nice and dry but feel as if you are in it. Excellent! I have purchased many fish from the gallery over the years. It is a great store with knowledgeable staff.

This place is amazing. Not only is it beautiful it is clear how much they care for the fish and the craft. The plants I got look so healthy! (I was not looking for new fishies but there was a big selection to choose from). The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I really feel they helped me make the best choices for me and my fish and didn't try to just get me to buy more things. I will def. be back. Whether you are new to fish keeping or a veteran this place is a great find.

I love this place. The employees are very helpful. I'm in here at least twice a month buying stuff for my tanks. When their plants are stocked they have a very good variety! My wife and I have now bought two full saltwater setups from the fish gallery. Conner has helped me both times and gone above and beyond to ensure I'm starting off on the right foot. When my wife went by herself to get water, Conner remembered her and gave her a hand. I've gone back just to talk with him about the tank and pick up a frag or two while I'm there. All of the staff are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and just really cool. Every interaction I've had there has been positive. They have a great selection and very favorable prices. They have to be selling tanks at a discount!

We have shopped here for years. Bought our first Fluval about 8yrs ago and have been coming back since. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Their livestock is hearty and healthy, the tanks they carry are beautiful.

I've been going here for many years, even before they moved to this location. This is a fun and exciting place to take the kiddos to see many exotic marine and freshwater fish! Highly recommended for purchases or just viewing.

My husband and I went in there for the first time and was blown away by the cleanliness, friendliness, and great knowledge of not only fish, but plants as well. We will definitely be making the 40 minute trek back for more fish/ plants! Oh, and we noticed there wasn't a single dead fish inside any of the well kept tanks! 🥰 Prices are comparable to other fish stores as well, and for fish we know have been properly taken care of. This is a GREAT place to get everything you need did your tanks!

Did lots of business here until they refused to honor their 7 day warranty for a fish that randomly died. I've had aquariums for 17 years and my water parameters were pristine at that time which they refused to even consider replacement over the phone when I called. I'll never be back again!

I love this place. Honestly. The staff, including the owners, are always readily available to help (and if you can’t wait your turn while they help other people just like you then maybe your mommy needs to teach you manners and patience). I appreciate that when I ask a question I get a no bullsh*t answer. There’s no up selling or pushing and shoving. Their inventory is amazing and well kept. More times than not when I have visited the employees are diligently cleaning the display tanks. Their new location is as awesome (and closer to me) as well. Keep up the good work. I have been going to Aquarium Artisans since they moved to their new location, I began going there just prior to their grand opening. They have a much more professional approach to their store. Everything is clean, healthy and orderly. They have a great selection of corals from $10 frags to $400 show pieces. They also have an excellent selection of saltwater fish and invertebrates as well as fresh water fish and plants. Most of the freshwater fish I have seen in their store are fairly unique compared to what most stores sell. They have your run-of-the-mill Mollys, Platys, Tetras, etc. but also a great selection of harder to find Cichlids and on occasion some Discus. I have bought a lot of frags from here, some saltwater fish as well as freshwater plants and have not had any issues. All are alive and healthy to this day. I stocked my nano tank mostly from this store, I will attach a picture. They also have a nice selection of aquariums, supplies and food. The best thing is their self serve RO and Salt water tanks. Just walk in with a bucket and get what you need. Staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and it is easy to get someone to help you get what you need. Very glad I found this store and I will definitely continue to shop here.

This shop is awesome! It's hard these days to find a business with excellent customer service and Aquarium Artisans delivers. They took care of my 125g reef tank while I was deployed and when I came back it was in even better shape. Jeremy and Jen, along with their team, go above and beyond to ensure they have quality fish, coral and customer service. Check them out.

I've been to all the local fish stores and this place is high class. Lots of marine fish and inverts and plenty of corals. And a very large selection of freshwater fish and plants. The equipment and tank selection is great too. Lots of expensive reefer gadgets too. Definitely recommend this place.

Very well stocked aquarium store. One side of the store is freshwater fish and the other side is saltwater. If they don't have it they can order it as far as supplies. They don't compete with the big box stores on aquarium tanks prices. Their line of aquarium tanks are high end saltwater, with 1/2" thick glass. I would buy a cheap freshwater tank at petsmart and buy your fish and supplies here if you are looking at freshwater. The fish I have bought here have all survived and flourished. Not so lucky at petsmart. This is a premium aquarium store with premium prices. They also have a HUGE selection of aquarium plants. $$$ but we'll worth the investment in the quality and health of the fish they offer.

This place is amazing! Blows away businesses like petco and petsmart. Not only is their selection of fish way better but the selection of tank accessories like filters and salt is better too. I'd say only thing they're missing is fake decorations but lots of live plants and best selection of salt water coral I ever seen! My wife and daughter went with me and we loved their display tanks, they're beautiful with so much life and really inspiring. Even had a little sitting area with books next to an amazing custom tank.

This place has one of the most impressive freshwater fish selections I have seen. The store is clean and welcoming. The staff are super friendly. Shout out to Moriah, who is very knowledgeable and helped me while I shopped. I like the layout. They put tanks with fish under their aggressiveness level, which will help you find a better fit for your tank. You can see what I mean in the pics I posted. I’ll be sure to stop by again.

This place was astonishing. I was reading the reviews and saw great feedback, so my family and I went. They thought it was going to be a rinky-dinky hole in the wall, and boy oh boy were we wrong. The service was great. The cleanliness was great. The products were great. Overall a great fish store to go to. 5/5

I bought 15 galaxy rasboras that were $6.99 each. First day two died went back replaced them. Second day came home from work, most were dead in one aquarium, the ones in the other tank were fine. Went back and replaced them. A day after I replaced them all the fish died. My water is perfect, no ammonia, nitrites or nitrates dechlorinated and fully ran for three weeks with cycled media and I was ghost feeding the tank. The tank was set up properly everything was fine, I was completely done buying fish from this place. So I wanted my money back… no refunds only exchanges. Bought a bunch of other stuff to get rid of the store credit. Will not be returning to this place! The people who work there think they no everything, as if everyone who walks in knows absolutely nothing about fish.

Do your own research and Don't rely on others. They have very clean products and have handled returns and exchanges great. Their fish tanks are fun to sit and watch. The cleanest fish store I have been to. I just wish all of the staff had expert knowledge on fish tanks. The plus-sized is they carry star wars stuff for the fish tank.

This place was unbelievably amazing. Tiny bit busy since it was Sunday, but totally worth it. Huge aquariums, with large turtles, coolest fish, could literally charge admission here! Haha. The staff was very helpful, and we got all the advice we needed for our home aquarium tank. Will definitely be coming back again soon!

Seriously the nicest fish store I've ever been to. They have an amazing selection of large tank setups which you don't usually find in most aquatic stores, plus decorations, food, and water additives. The saltwater selection is a little small but they have a ton of freshwater fish, including small and larger-sized fish. Amazing place to go to if you like big fish! They also have axolotls, crabs, frogs, and turtles here so there is a little something for everyone! Edit: went today February 12th and just want to give a shout-out to Adam who made an effort to help me and my friend with all of our questions. He was extremely knowledgeable about everything we asked about and gave us the best experience I've ever had at an aquatic store, and I go to a lot.

I’m from Corpus but was visiting family in Houston and let me tell you, I’ve never been to a fish store better than this one. They have a very vast selection of fresh and saltwater fish, live plants, corals, fertilizers, co2 options etc… My uncle, who is also from Corpus, had us stop on the way back home to pick up some frozen fish food because their prices are better compared to where we live. The customer service is beyond amazing! One of the employees, Anna, knowing we had a long trip home, took it upon herself to fill a bag with ice so the food would stay fresh. Overall a very pleasant visit. 100000/10 would highly recommend shopping here for all your aquatic needs! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is hands down the BEST fish store I have ever been to in my over 30yrs of fish keeping! If you are in the hobby and have not visited Fish Gallery yet, you are missing out. My wife loved it as well and had made the comment, they should almost charge admission. Lol. Take the kids, they too will love it. Selection of fish is amazing and the prices are fair. The display tanks are phenomenal, the hard scape inventory is off the charts as well as their stock in supplies. If you need it, they have it! Very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Well staffed store that specialized in fish. They have a wide selection of fish supplies and various freshwater fish. Their saltwater section is okay and they have a couple of varieties of fancy goldfish. Their display tanks near the entrance is gorgeous, and it’s calming to look at them! They occassionally have discounted used tanks out in front of the store if you’re willing to put in some elbow grease to make them look sparkly new again!

always I buy my fish stuff here but the last time when I came to buy fish food, they’re selling a product really bad. It’s say doesn’t cloud water but my tank is horrible and so dirty after using this product. Even after changed the water a week ago. I have the proof that that. I don’t recommended this product and the store must test it before sell it.

Inconsistent stock, lack of general knowledge, and prices are marked up 20 to 60% what you'd pay with another retailer. Absolutely zero follow up if you leave your information with a question. Go with aquarium co-op.

Saltwater section is just depressig & not worth the drive. If you're into freshwater maybe but even I've seen smaller shops w/ equal variety if not more. Seems like they're focused on business accounts & not so much hobbyist. Staff is cool though, can't blame them for the direction of the store 🤷🏻‍♂️

These folks are professionals! Upon delivery to my business, a manager showed up to ensure I was satisfied and that the install went smooth. The two techs were exceptional in their craft and had all the proper tools and lifts to complete the install. Highly recommend!
