George

Intercontinental
Airport
(IAH)
is
one
of
the
busiest
airports
in
the
United
States,
and
it
has
played
a
vital
role
in
the
growth
and
development
of
Houston
for
over
50
years.
Since
IAH
first
opened
its
doors
in
1969,
it
has
undergone
a
number
of
transformations,
both
in
size
and
scope.
The
airport
has
expanded
to
accommodate
millions
more
passengers
each
year,
and
it
now
offers
direct
flights
to
destinations
all
over
the
world.
IAH
is
also
home
to
a
number
of
innovative
features
and
amenities,
including
a
state-of-the-art
international
terminal
and
a
variety
of
dining
and
shopping
options.
Despite
its
many
challenges,
IAH
has
remained
a
world-class
airport,
and
it
is
a
source
of
pride
for
Houstonians
everywhere.
The
airport
is
a
vital
economic
engine
for
the
region,
and
it
helps
to
connect
Houston
to
the
rest
of
the
world.
As
a
Houston
resident
for
over
30
years,
I
have
witnessed
firsthand
the
evolution
of
IAH.
I
have
seen
the
airport
grow
from
a
regional
hub
to
a
global
gateway.
I
have
also
seen
the
airport
adapt
to
changing
needs
and
technologies.
The
airport
is
a
testament
to
the
resilience
and
ingenuity
of
the
Houston
community.
It
is
a
place
where
people
from
all
over
the
world
come
together
to
experience
the
best
that
Houston
has
to
offer.
Ever-proud
of
our
beloved
airport
and
proud
to
be
a
Houstonian.
