This place is expensive for lunch if you get the pasta. And they guilt tip you. If you dont tip for an already $20 lunch with no drink they will give you small amount of pasta that is super salty. Maybe if you stick to the pizza menu you will be okay but anything else this place is not worth it. I will not be going here anymore

The food was not good. One bite and i just couldnt bare to eat anymore. Ordered the chicken piccata, tasted really bad. The broth was like a dishwater color and had a smell. Maybe from the mushrooms? My husband ordered the chicken parm and it was just as bad. Watered down and the sauce was so basic that it was just tomatoes. Pasta for both dishes was way over cooked. Gnats were everywhere, not sure why. We did ask for our money back.

Ordered a pasta dish with grilled chicken to-go. The portion was really small and I had to actually push all the pasta around to find the tiny slivers of chicken. Not what you would expect for "New York style" Italian!

GREAT choice for a group lunch. I placed a HUGE delivery order of their 28" GIANT pizzas and salad trays. The order was placed with Genesis over the phone. She was very friendly and even personally delivered the pizzas that barely fit through the door. The order arrived correctly and was delicious. The GIANT pizzas are definitely a HUGE WOW factor for a party! :) THANK YOU!!!

Went with a group of friends and the food was great and the prices were very reasonable for a big city. The calzone was awesome.

We ordered pasta and bruschetta. Food is ok but overpriced for the quality. You have to place order at counter, get you own water and silverware. Given that the most annoying part was automate tip suggestions of 15% to 25%.

Called at 515, google says they close at 6. Lady answered and said they are closed and hung up without letting me ask anything else. I don’t get it. Either don’t answer or be moderately polite - which from other times isn’t a trait staff their excel in. I only go here since Frank’s parking is terrible for a quick slice.

Had a great grease pizza. The ladies that work there were so sweet. They need security for them though. During our visit a homeless man ran in and stole their tips. So sad.

Russo’s certainly has a large menu with many choices that can make anyone in your group. I went with a make your own calzone and it was an overall good calzone. Next time I will try some of the pastas or subs that looked very good. Place it self was clean and the staff was nice even with how busy they get at the lunch rush. I would say that it was a little pricey though with my calzone being $20.

Arrived at their door at a little after 5:00 PM on Friday night, and doors locked, no patrons, and could see two staffers inside. Their info at Google maps says open until 6:00 PM. Hugely disappointed since options in the downtown area for quick and easy to-go food are severely limited.

Stop by for lunch and was odd to hear they didn't have any utensils so had to use plastic. 12 30 lunchtime

Walked in for a casual lunch and had a great experience. Employees were friendly, helpful, and provided excellent customer service. I went with a build your own slice. I ordered a specialty veggie slice. They were generous on the toppings. Presentation of toppings and distribution was inconsistent. However, it's easy to look past that aspect when you realize how big your slice is. The size of the pizza slice is a absolute hit, especially when compared to NYC pizza shops that I've visited. The crust is delicious. The toppings are too fresh, I'm my opinion. I would have liked my veggies a little more cooked and warmer. The sauce is very addicting. Visit Russo's for New York style pizza with a touch of Texas love.

Delicious pizza with fast and courteous staff. It's located right across from Hyatt Regency under the mini tunnel on Polk. Order online, park in front of the door with your hazards on, and get your pizza.

The food was delicious & a good amount of food for each serving! My husband had a calzone & I had a medium pizza, and we both had enough for leftovers. I thought the Duppio Pepperoni pizza was tasty and not a combination I would have normally ordered, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! Our little one also really enjoyed his meatball & pasta.

In my opinion an excellent dining experience. Pasta dishes were prepared correctly, sauces were flavorful and properly prepared. The pizza was delightful. Service was attentive and fast. Desserts were very attractive, though we did not try any of them. Definitely would dine again, if in the area.

Good selection of pizza and we could build our own including vegan options. Nice beers on tap. Friendly helpful staff. Not sure about using garlic on every pizza.

Went there yesterday and ordered 2 slices and a calzone for take out. The calzone was freshly baked and good but the 2 slices were dried out and at least a day old. On top of that, the guy who told he'd bring out my order forgot about it until I went back to him and asked him about it... no apologies, nothing but blank looks of indifference. Be careful cause you may get day old pizza and you will most likely get bad service.

The very nice person who helped me said I could never eat two of these slices of pizza. Yes, the slices are HUGE, but I put two of ‘em away. It also helped that the pizza was very very good!!

Thank goodness this pizza spot was open after 6pm. Seems like every thing downtown closes early as they must focus on local business traffic. That was good news for me as I really enjoyed the Biaca (sp?) slice. Beer was tasty but I forget the name. Mozzarella sticks were good and plentiful. Not very busy on a weeknight so you'll quickly get a table. Place was clean and service was friendly.

This place used to be great for lunch. Went back today, prices have gone up alot. The pasta I get used to cost $12 is now $17, the service was slow, it took my lunch mates over 30 minutes to get their slices (simple pepperoni). When they did get it, the pizza was doughy and hardly any sauce. We had to ask for the bread basket and that took 10 minutes. I get they are understaffed but if it costs this much, takes this long, and quality is lacking maybe its time to shut down or get new management.

Good place to get a quick an larger slice of pizza than most places. Great NY style thin crust and if in Downtown Houston a worthwhile place for a slice!
