This newish spot is very popular with vegans (vegetarians) and meat eaters, so expect to wait for a table during peak hours. Based on the items I had, the food is excellent. It is 100% vegan. The Almond Butter Croissant was very good considering it was missing the eggs. The grits were absolutely delicious, and I only do butter and sugar in mine (sorry salt and pepper folks). And I can say they were even better the second day when I enjoyed my leftovers for breakfast. The Hot Honey Shrooms (Oyster Mushrooms) had a very nice and well seasoned crust/skin on them. They dish was a perfect portion and delicious brunch item. It will be hard to try something different next visit, but I will...not sure what though. I hope next visit to have an opportunity to try their coffee...

I find it very difficult to enjoy vegan meals from "Vegan Restaurants". It often taste like meat substitute. Instead of a culinary art. I pass this place every weekend. The smell is amazing. So I decided to stop in. I see why they called it "Mo Better". It's absolutely "More better" than any other vegan restaurant I've been to in Houston. I took the suggestion. See the pics. Best breakfast I've ever had. Id pick this place over the Breakfast Klub any day. Oh and the staff is amazing.

Yummy for my tummy 🤤 My friends and I had multiple items on the menu. I ordered the Pesto with Lump Crab. My friends weren’t too hot with the gumbo😕 The sushi was cool. The artichoke dip was cool. The atmosphere was super nice. I loved the art and vinyls. No liquor but wine and coffee on the menu. Parking situation not the greatest but there. Super small parking lot but some street parking available nearby. Staff friendly.

This is my second time at this restaurant and the level of professionalism leaves a bitter taste in mouth. Today, I came here with my family to celebrate my birthday. I was told that there was a 45 minutes wait and that was okay. Since I wasn't feeling well, I asked the young man who took my reservation if I could have something hot while my table was ready. He unequivocally told me no because that would mean I will be taking the place of anyone in front of me. I truly thought he was being facetious but alas he stood by that incredible answer. I asked him to point me to the takeout counter and I stepped past him and went and ordered my soup. I explicitly expressed to the person taking my order that I wanted the soup to be hot 🔥 and by now you must have correctly guessed that they handed me some iced cold soup. My husband returned it to be heated but, it was lukewarm. At the 40 minutes mark, I inquired why I was waiting when there about 8 open tables that could accommodate my party. The same young man who took my reservation told me that those tables are reserved and the people are on their way. This was 5:15 and the store was slated to close to 6 pm. My son simply said, " Mom let's leave"..... this place has to train their staff...they have to do better and be better because the vegan restaurants are becoming more competitive.....BTW, this was second and last time here. The first time, I left with a similar experience....

This place is amazing! It has a great vibe, a cute outdoor patio, friendly employees and good music. I also LOVE the all-vegan menu. We tried the sweet potato hash, and the lox and bagel. The “lox” was made out of marinated carrot and was DELICIOUS. Highly recommend this spot!

The Spinach Artichoke Dip was my favorite. Everything was delicious. Wings had a great buffalo flavor and filling. I came for lunch and the food came out with in 10-15 minutes. The portions were big, you can share these plates with friends. The restaurant is small and very cozy feel. It has an outside patio. I loved this place I will be back soon, next time I’ll order online.

We came to visit from Tulsa Oklahoma I am vegan my husband is not but he raved about how good his shroom and waffles were he got the spicy and I got the regular kind we both left full and satisfied! Upon arriving we were greeted with open arms they make you feel like you’re right at home. The owner was very friendly and I love seeing black excellence. This place is definitely going to be on our list to come back to as we travel to Houston often! I was really impressed the atmosphere the music the professional decor and food were all amazing definitely worth 5 starts in my opinion! I love that I can take my husband to an all vegan spot and him not miss meat.

We visited this afternoon (Saturday at about 12:30) and were completely satisfied! We were seated promptly with no wait. The server was kind, professional and promptly greeted us when we were seated. The food is amazing, I was completely blown away by the wonderful flavor of each dish. The service and food were prompt. We were in and out in less that an hour, which suited the attention span of the 4 year old. I would highly recommend and I’m sure we will be back to try more delicious food. 💯

I’ve been meaning to come here for a while and finally made the time. If I could give Mo Better Brews 10 stars I would. One of the owners came out and greeted me. Everyone was so welcoming, oh and the music selection will make you want to do a two-step or a body roll, or perhaps both at the same time 😂💃🏿! The food is seasoned to perfection. This will definitely be my new chill spot. I had the pancakes, fried mushrooms (absolutely DELICIOUS), and grits. Hibiscus mimosa to top it off (pictured). Please support this business! You will not be disappointed!

Choosing from the wide selection of seemingly delicious meals was a challenge. My friend and I started with the Buffalo chicken dip and it was simple but delicious. I went with the monte sandwich and would rate it at 7/10. The sandwich is fried and the crust was so hard to eat and did not taste good but the inner part of the sandwich was pretty good. The hibiscus mimosa was great and it is super sweet, I ordered a second but my friend switched to orange for her second. I debated on rating this at 4 stars due to the okay sandwich but mostly due to our server, they were not attentive and we had to remind them of our drinks twice. But I think it was a one off experience as other servers seemed very attentive. I’d try this place again.

This Place is a Vibe✨ A Vegans Haven 🌱 Music 🎶 Therapy Galore! The Food was so soulful and flavorful! My first impression when we entered was filled with excitement! With Such a Kindred greet from the awesome Bar Attendant (Not sure of her name, but she had the Dope haircut✨) And the momentum went down for a min thereafter because of the long wait, but our Beautiful Food Attendant Empress Tiffany Made it better! She also, was considerate of our wait time, as she explained the reasoning. Overall, I enjoyed everything and will be back!

Awesome vegan spot. Got the breakfast combo with grits, hash, sausage and toast. Everything on the plate was seasoned and prepared well. Chill vibe and friendly staff too. Will definitely come back for more.

This is an all Vegan all delicious restaurant! We had the smoothie, breakfast combo, Boudain balls cauliflower wings with their buffalo sauce and breakfast tacos. We were so surprised how tasty the food can be being vegan. We didn’t miss our eggs and chicken for sure!

Absolutely the best Vegan Restaurant I have ever eaten at so far in the US! The place was comfortably crowded and just loved the ambiance. Brian was our server and she was fantastic. She said, "everything is good!" She was not lying. Check their menu out. Of course just we ordered too much but it was worth it! We got the spinach dip and chips as an appetizer. We ordered the burger, three types of grits and fried mushrooms. One bowl had Aguve on the food. Another was sweet and spicy while the third was just spicy! They have this Charcoal Lemonade: order it! It is fire! Oh and my son flew into Houston for the Sigma Conference and he met me there! How super dope is that?

Took 3 yummy flights (combos) that was very flavorful. Thank you Shehnaz for guiding us through our journey. You are an awesome server. Can’t wait to come back again. This place made my birthday full and happy. The outdoor patio was very pleasant.

Overall, really great food but fairly slow staff. The atmosphere was very loud and kind of stuffy. However, I, a four year vegan, came with two non-vegans and they were very impressed with how tasty the food was. Such a great selection of vegan comfort food that I can’t get anywhere else.

My husband is a huge fan of vegan foods, me.. not so much! But I have to say the food was amazing! The waiter/staff were super friendly and accommodating! Will most definitely come back!!

Omg the food was awesome and very tasty. The restaurant was filled with customer so we sat outdoors. The temperature was about 62 but they had nice outdoor luxury heaters that made us so cozy until it felt like spring out on the patio. I’m from Alabama, I will most definitely be returning

If you're looking for vegan comfort food this is it!!! Definitely call before you go to see if there's a long wait. They are busy for a good reason; they are freakin' good! 🤤👍 And the servers and other people working there are attentive and so nice. The bathrooms are nice and clean, too. 100% recommend!! 💯 Thank you! (We got the breakfast quesadilla, strawberry cheesecake pancakes and the breakfast platter. All amazing)

Where do I start…the atmosphere as I walked in was amazing. We were greeted by the most pleasant host. While I’m not vegan, the food was seasoned to perfection and actually had me considering a change in my diet. Our waiter (Shawn) was very attentive and made sure we wanted for nothing. This is a restaurant that I will highly recommend to my peers, and I’ll definitely be back soon.

Great place! Super flavorful we enjoyed it very much. The music is in point! We had the fried mushrooms and waffles and the Mo’s better breakfast plate. Everything was really good. Garlicky grits crispy mushrooms and fluffy waffle. Definitely will comeback!

Really fun and welcoming restaurant/coffee bar. Everything is vegan, but don't let that stop you! It's very tasty and filling. The fries are truly amazing. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is limited. Street parking available but watch the signs. Service is fast and friendly. Great for after a visit to the museum district.

Food was amazing. We had the sweetest server wait our table. Their reservation/name list system needs some work, but overall would definitely recommend. The food is worth the wait.

It was my 1st time here was invited by my Big sister to enjoy poetry night, and was wasn't disappointed it was a lot of Great freestyle artist from all over. Love the vibe, atmosphere, and the whole concept was really nice. The crowd was very laid back, and there was a lot of variety vendors that I was able to support which I thought was very cool. Next time I'm in town I'll stop back by, because I really enjoyed myself.

Food and service was mostly great. The bartender was slow to warm up but once he did, he was cool and helpful (we sat at the bar). The food takes quite a while to come out. We ordered the Monte crisco (AMAZING), pancake flight (disappointing and not good), waffle w ice cream (great), boudain balls (okay - drier than what I expected. Seemed like they were fried too long), breakfast sandwich on a croissant and one on a donut. They both were good but the donut and croissant did not hold up well. The charcoal lemonade doesn't taste like lemonade at all. It taste like grape juice. We also had side orders of oyster mushrooms. They were okay. The size you get compared to what you pay is minimal. It wasn't the "meaty" part of the mushroom, it was the stem for lack of better words. Overall if I lived in the area I would return without a doubt. Just a couple good to knows: parking is limited, indoor seating is limited and tight, breakfast is not served all day.

The food was amazing. It came out so quickly, too. Destin was our server and she was a patient sweetheart. Did I say the food was so damn good? I got the elderberry mimosa which had minimal elderberry, but was good. Then I got the cocktail with butterfly pea flower, which was surprisingly underwhelming by looks, but made up for it with the strength/heavy pour. The hibiscus mimosa was cute and tasted good. I'll be back for sure! There's so much more I need to try! Hats off to the chef.

I love this place! It’s fully vegan and supremely delicious! I shared the “Shrooms & Grits” and “Classic Pancakes” with a friend. I don’t like to share normally as I can EAT; but this we TWO could not finish! Price was well worth it. Flavor, presentation and service were all spot on. I 100% recommend this restaurant!

This place is so good! Everything is vegan and the gluten free items are clearly marked and always safe. I'm extremely gluten sensitive and can honestly say the fried potatoes are some of the best I've had. My partner loves the fried mushrooms. All the espresso drinks are on point, too. 10/10.

Really enjoyed this place! Went for brunch with a friend and ordered the cauliflower buffalo wings, chickn fried shrooms and grits, boudain sushi roll and of course Mimosas! Everything was delicious! The patio vibe was nice with good music. Our waiter was awesome and was very helpful with suggestions. If you’re looking for good Vegan food this place is it!

Derrick was our waiter and he was ON POINT with the recommendations. It’s my third time here and the food has been AMAZING every time. Highly recommended! Especially for vegans looking for some soul food food made with love and adequate seasoning!

This spot was an entire vibe/mood. Went there for Brunch and it was exceptionally great! From the customer service to the food n drinks, everything was above 10 on a scale from 1-10. I will be back soon.
