ordered takeout from this place on a quick whim. wanted to try it out since it was new—first thoughts: came with an awesome amount of sauces which was nice. the chicken is delicious! Fried crunchy. We ordered mild just try out the spice level (I like more spicy, but wanted to try out first) and even though some other restaurants have different definitions of what mild is the taste was at a good mild. The fries were seasoned also. Food came out fresh and hot. The seasoning they use for the chicken also seems to have a bit of sweet in it, overall very good.

One of my colleagues recommended this place so I decided to try it today for lunch. Let me start out by saying 10/10, I would definitely recommend checking this place out. The staff was able to make good recommendations on what I should order since it was my first time. The service was really fast and I was satisfied with the overall quality of the food. The sauce is tasty and the chicken has a subtle sweetness to it that compliments the heat perfectly. My mom got a hot tender and I got a mild slider. I will say if you’re not too fond of extremely spicy food, I would recommend getting the mild. It was not as hot as I would have liked but the hot probably would have been too hot for me. I really liked the art on the walls and the atmosphere of the place. Overall this was a great experience and I will definitely be back.

My daughter enjoyed the chicken with mild sauce. The fries were spicy, we liked it. Good size portions. A little pricey. Worth visiting whenever we are in the area. The facility very clean and maintained. Would recommend it highly. Excellent customer service as well. Thank you.

After hearing the hype about Dave’s hot chicken, so had to try it myself. I ordered the Mild sandwich with a mild strip + fries and my boyfriend ordered mild sliders. The fries were great and the meal portions were perfect. However, the chicken was OVER seasoned on the outside but UNDER seasoned on the inside. There was no flavor - None. It was as if they didn’t marinate or even fry the breasts in the seasoning at all. The seasoning was piled it on the outside AFTER it was fried. Due to that, we probably won’t be back. However, 3 stars for the awesome fries and hearty portions.

Very good sandwiches. The sliders were huge. I think you could reasonably share the combo plates. We got medium spice level. I didn’t really notice any heat, so Next time I will get hot. Chicken was extra crispy. Sauces were very good. Flavors perfect

Quick organized over the counter service. Had my food within 10 minutes of entering in the middle of lunch rush on a weekday. Mild heat was perfect to get the full flavor with a little spice. Will probably go hot next time. Fries were so good sprinkled with a touch of seasoning!

I was pleasantly surprised. I did not know what to expect. Was this just another Chicken Sandwich place? Answer: No! I did not know what to Order. So Sean explained everything and made recommendations. I decided on the 2 slider combo . Medium Heat. This was more than enough for this 265lb big boned football player/Restauranteur. Pro tip. Get the Honey packets For the most interesting flavor profile. I have been back several times so much so now it's a part of my weekly routine Trina the manager recognizes right away each time. Pro tip#2: "every wants to go where you know their name" They explained what Halal Chicken meant, but I stopped paying attention because it was so good 👍🏾 Good people good food. This was a literal crispy, tender and hot chicken sandwich. You get to choose your spice level and I got the "hot." I underestimated it. I was almost dying because I did not expect it to blow up in my mouth that hard. The sauce was pretty good and I would love to have more of it. The crinkle cut fries were super fresh; I bit into a crunchy outside texture with soft interior. 😋 The price was average for the amount you get.

I’m visiting town on business and walked by Dave’s Hot Chicken and decided I’d be back for lunch on another day. I stopped by today and what a great find. This is a attractive restaurant. It’s the cleanest business I’ve been in recently. The crew is nice efficient and outgoing. I ordered the #3 combo 1 Tender and 1 Tender Slider with fries and pickles. I ordered hot and it was just that and so flavorful. I would go here often if I lived in town. Check it out for yourself

Honestly food was good, servers nice. Everything was fine up until I got to my last chicken slider I brought home with an earing stud in it. Hoping nothing else was in anything my girl or I ate and we wont get sick.

Came to Houston for the weekend to get away and we decided to stop here. Great service, friendly faces, and clean facility! I was help by Alana and she was very sweet and answered all my questions. Definitely recommend this location! Can’t wait to visit again

Don’t bother. Long wait for food - it took 35 minutes for us and the place was 1/3 full. Inconsistent spice level - one was hot (what I ordered) and one was EXTREMELY SPICY. The tender was served cold, sandwich was fresh. Tables were sticky, nobody cleaned after patrons. Trash bins over filled. Employee was annoyed announcing order numbers if announced more than once.

Food is fantastic. The fried chicken is flavorful and can be super spicy (if you want). The Dave’s sauce is delicious. Fries are good too. Service was friendly and fast. All in all a perfect lunch/dinner spot, other than the area of town it’s in. Not the best area for this location.

Great experience and would visit again. I got the medium and hot and thought it maybe spicy but I think it’s perfectly spiced. They have about 5 different levels of heat so can customise to your liking. Good thing is you can get all items with different heat levels.

First time visiting since it's recent grand opening and the service was awesome and the food was so so good. I had a sandwich with "hot" flavored sauce, and yep, it was hot! It was so good!! The fries had a nice seasoning on them and the mac n cheese was yummy as well. Definitely recommend this place and we will for sure be going back.

Tried the hot and extra hot sandwiches. The extra hot had a kick but hot wasn't really hot to me. They were not too flavorful either and had very little coleslaw. Overall I liked it but it wasn't as delicious as I hoped.

Ordered food to-go and even after a 20-30 minute car ride home, the food was still hot and fresh! Soooo flavorful and juicy. I’m very impressed! Chicken is well seasoned, and the sauce adds enough jazz to it so it’s not too dry. I love how crispy it is without it being burnt. I can see why this place is so popular and has numerous locations! If you like fried chicken tenders, you should definitely check this place out! Highly recommend but be safe if you cannot handle a little kick of spice in your food cause it is definitely flavorful

Definitely a place to come for lunch and or a good dinner. It's an urban atmosphere that feels comfortable and exciting for kids and friends to hang out! The service and staff were amazing, they've clearly earned their stars!

The food is always good. Heat level on these were the "Hot" ones. Just enough heat to enjoy the flavor. The only drawback was the location. Downtown Houston and crawling with homeless people walking around our vehicles. Don't think I'll be back here just because of that. There's other locations.

This is the best hot chicken sandwich in Houston!! And I’ve tried 8 different halal ones. This is the best one. Top notch service. All the employees are always so kind and happy. Very clean establishment with decent parking given its location near downtown.

Food was fresh and delicious. The customer service was top tier incredibly friendly and polite, the eating area flawlessly clean for a first experience here I couldn't ask for more.

The food is HALAL in this location. They have halal certificate. The food was not as good as I had in a different Dave’s location. It seemed they were under-staffed as there was only 1 cashier. I had to wait some time before the cashier took my order. The wait time to get the food after the order placement was okay. They give u a free drink if you have a metro ride card or write them a review on Google or Yelp.

Super good fried chicken sandwiches! Recently tried it with the coleslaw and it definitely hit the spot! FYI be careful with the reaper sandwich as it is really really good as it is spicy, it will leave your crying and sweating as you try to finish a delicious spicy sandwich. Dining in is great as well clean tables, refills and a great atmosphere to finish your meal.
