OH MY..... THAT WAS INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS!!! On a recent trip to the big H, I was seeking a reputable Indian Restaurant...FOUND IT!!!! As you will read in other reviews, this is possibly the best Indian Cuisine I've had in the US! My server was Abid, and he did a phenomenal job of walking me through the menu and recommending dishes of interest. First off, he insisted I try the Mango Lassi (first excellent decision) Then he recommended the Chicken Biryani (second excellent decision) Along with that, we had to have some Naan right!?!?! I opted for the Garlic Naan (third excellent decision) TRIFECTA!!!!!! I will absolutely be dining at Amar Indian Cuisine routinely on trips to Houston!!! Check em' out!!!

What a gem! Found this place after leaving one of my former favorite Indian restaurants in Katy that now has horrible service. That is not the case here! Though they were light on staff, our waiter let us know and apologized yet still provided excellent service. And the food was off the chain! Try the lunch buffet. The goat curry is delicious along with the butter chicken, Saag paneer, chicken tikka, and naan. They allow you to select your spice level,, mild,, medium or hot.. medium has enough kick unless you just like firey hot.. Generous portions,, the wife and I ordered a buffet plate each and had enough leftover for dinner. Will definitely be back here to quench my Indian food craving.

This isn’t just a regular Indian takeout restaurant. It’s so nice and clean on the inside that you just have to stay and eat there. The staff are extremely friendly and the lunch prices are very reasonable. Not to mention they have a full sit down bar. The food is fresh and cooked perfectly. It’s my go to Indian spot now!

We went right after the lunch crowd, so it was very quiet. This was my first experience with Indian cuisine and I enjoyed it! I played it safe by trying the Chicken Tikka Masala. My friend had the Chicken Pakora and enjoyed it too. I think next time I will try one of the delicious-looking seafood dishes, but I will have to work my way up to one of the lamb or goat dishes. I'm sure everything will be delicious. The service and atmosphere was great.

OMG This was a great find... best Indian food we've had in the US! If you're in the Houston area go check it out... they do a buffet daily from 11 to 2👍😁 This was from our 1st time we found this gem. Today we drove 1 45min just to try out the lunch buffet and it was SO good. If you like Indian or want to try it you can not go wrong with the lunch buffet!

The food is good. I love the chicken noodles. The price is reasonable and the buffet is good. They have good vegetarian options. The people are really nice here.

I hate to say it but the food here just wasn't the best or up to par with other Indian restaurants. I had the buffet, everything looks good but there are two tastes that really mask most of the curry dishes. Coriander and this almost watery taste. Tandoori chicken on the other hand was excellent. Well cooked, juicey and the right amount of seasoning. Pakora, naan were also very good. People were nice but maybe not as attentive. I don't think I would recommend coming here, at least for the buffet maybe dinner or take out is better. I saw 4 people come pick up in the hour I was there.

I'm sad that this place is no longer the Amar Indian restaurant. Does anybody know if the family who owned Amar opened a restaurant somewhere else? I loved, loved, loved their diahes.

No one told me the entrees were extremely tiny. This is $16.95 for butter chicken, in a pint container??? I spent $50 for 3 people but it's only enough food for myself. I ordered a dessert for $7, it's only enough for a toddler. And the veggie sampler for $11.95 was just a few brown pieces. I can't comment on the food bc the portions are very upsetting. I order out often and this was a humbling experience.

Absolutely phenomenal experience at this Nepalese Indian restaurant! From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the fusion of Nepalese and Indian culture evident in the charming decor and warm atmosphere. The was really good, one of the best Indian Restaurants ai have been. Different options like veggie, lamb tikka, chicken masala, Chicken Seekh kabab, carrot pudding etc. staff were very friendly and it was pretty clean.

Absolutely delicious and fresh Indian food, friendly staff. It was my first time coming here, and I have to admit that I will be coming more often to Amar Indian Cuisine.

The place is nice and the service was really good. Our server lady was nice and polite. They serve complementary papad. We ordered: 1. Veg chilli momos - they are really good. Authentic taste. 4/5 2. Malai kofta - i didn't like it much. The gravy was lacking the flavours and the kofta wasn't properly cooked. However, they didn't charge us for the kofta and were apologetic for the undercooked kofta. I feel it may be the wrong curry decision. 3. Garlic naan - it was okay. 3/5

I was not impressed by vegetable biriyani at all!! I was very disappointed in the taste. I have definitely had better! The chana masala and cheese Garlic naan bread was delicious! However the white rice that came with it was very dry. If I return, I will only order the chana masala.

Ordered a few things from the Nepalese menu and they all tasted great. Some dishes have a fair amount of Chinese influence. Also got the lunch buffet that was all Indian food and they had maybe 8-10 different dishes, all good as well. The coolest part is the owner used to live in Japan for a long time so I was surprised to see Japanese fried chicken on the menu but it all makes sense. Great people and great food.

Delicious. I’m getting chemotherapy now and no food tastes good to me. Almost everything makes me nauseous. But I ate almost all my tikka masala with rice and roti and naan. Wish I’d ordered two portions! It was delectable and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
