The worse Dennys out! Customers service was terrible, they had all the excuses in the world and we only asked for a jug of water 3 times🤦‍♀️ streak was dry as hell my curly fries were hard🤦‍♀️ my family and I spent almost $200 there and their food was horrible! You deserve 1 star cause the raspberry drink was the only nice thing I had🙄

After a terrible experience at the Manukau branch it was refreshing to have a pleasant meal at the Highland Park restaurant. The staff were lovely and the food came out quickly but freshly cooked. Food quality isn’t great but not terrible either. A good meal when you just crave breakfast in the afternoon.

Read the reviews before coming and most said hit and miss so decided to go anyway since we were hungry and wanted something more than the usual. Our drinks came out first, followed by our food. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. Ordered the satay chicken on rice, snapper & chips with Buffalo chicken. Satay chicken had lots of flavor, especially the sauce. Snapper was so fresh and tender. Great portion of golden crunchy chips. Dessert hit the spot fullfilling our chocolate and ice cream desires.

Seniors menu is good value, good quality, and tasty. My steak was nicely done and tender . $27 not bad for a good meal. Staff were friendly and helpful. We will be back!

It's ain't fine dining but it ain't kaka, very middle of the road. Probably a bit more expensive than it deserves to be but I've been to fancier places that have had worse food and service so 🤷🏾‍♂️

I had the Sirloin Steak. Medium. Nice cut but wasn't seared properly, rubbery. Bland. I didn't want to return it though lol. I took it home and gave it a good seasoning and hot sear. My partner usually has the Roast Beef Roll, I'd say this is our least favourite. Our coffees were burnt and my cappuccino spilled before I even got it then at every touch. Portions are smaller than other branches. They forgot our milkshake then charged a 2nd lol but it was corrected. I'd return and try another meal or 2. *Excuse the photos. The state of it 🫣

We visited one night for desserts, we were a large group of 15 people and the staff were quick to seat us on a large table fit for us. Went in for the classic hot fudge cake like old times… staff were prompt and got the desserts in a timely manner. The hot fudge cake was so yum 😋

Dessert was amazing~ Satay chicken, snapper and chips were great~ the Buffalo wings needed more spicy sauce to add flavour to compliment the sour cream other than that WAY BETTER THAN MANUKAU DENNYS! Staff was available to cater and best to go around 8.30pm

Haven't been to Denny's in years, but the kids really wanted some dessert after dinner. Came at 8pm on a Friday, waited 7 mins to be acknowledged and seated. The restaurant was fairly busy, so I was dreading the long wait for my dessert. Luckily it came 10 mins after ordering. The welcoming service is lacking

Barely 3 stars. Food was ok to good. But the place is very run down. Quite dirty in places. (Carpet, table ends etc) Kids machines not turned on. Food from kitchen a little slow. Wouldn’t be in hurry to return. Kickboard missing in photo

If you want the grimiest and dirtiest dining experience of your life, come here. The fudge lava cake is soooo mid, but it's a classic.

I didn’t give 5 stars because they take quite awhile to make our food (and we usually always go as a big group). They have sometimes forgotten our order. Aside from that we have enjoyed what food we have eaten here.

Such an outdated restaurant in need of a much needed renovation. Food was very overpriced for the quality received. Service was extremely disappointing and took long for food to be served.

Every time I visit I order the Superbird Sandwich (Bacon, Turkey, Tomato, Cheese) with Fries. You can’t beat it. The restaurant is tired, but the food quality is still good.

I've been going to this Denny's location for over 10 years and it has always been pretty good, but as of the past few years it has been getting a lot worse. The Denny's waiters are decent, some of their service isn't amazing but a lot of them are amazing, but the food always takes forever to arrive. I was one of the only groups of people in the restaurant and my food took 20 minutes to arrive, by this time my whole group had already gotten their food and I was just sitting there waiting. The menu selection is good, and the taste of the food is always amazing, but the price is way too high, it seems like every time I return to Denny's the price increases. The building is also very old, but it doesn't get renovated at all as it seems. The inside of the building is typically alright but sometimes it can be pretty dirty, and the tables are always sticky.

First time eating here, Food was average. When our food came out we didn't get any cutlery, had to try get waiters/staff attention to get any service. Very poor service with waiter coughing. Please if your staff are sick please ask them to stay home as they should not be handling food. However, atmosphere was ok and quiet.

Dennys is usually always pretty decent service, food and resturant cleanliness wise but sometimes they really just aren't on par. My friend ordered the oreo waffles and one of them was solid. Not edible knife can barely get through it. Waffles are meant to be crispy and fluffy. Pretty disappointing. I really recommend Dennys start making their own waffles, it's really not that hard. And also please make sure they don't get coffee grounds in their filter coffees because there's nothing worse then getting to the bottom of the cup and you're feeling dirt on your tounge. Love the times when things are good but there are definitely a few small but noticeable differences that need attention. This isn't just Highland Park they are one of the better Dennys in Auckland. Consistency is key

Bit of a wait but the food was as expected from Denny's. I've always enjoyed their ultimate omelette, not a fan of the sauce on eggs benedict or the salmon meal but that's just me. Curly fries were awesome.

Food was well below average, I do not recommend to anyone wanting a decent meal, the service wasn’t great, reviews aren’t great either, wish I had read these before dining. Better off taking your money elsewhere. My wife and I shared a meal, we both ended up vomiting it out an hour later.

"Chilli dog" the most disgusting thing I have eaten for a long time! The sausages were hard as hell, I could barely chew them. The "chilli" was flavorless. It tasted like mushed kidney beans. The chips were greasy and just off-cuts from the bottom of the bag. When the hotdog first came out it was almost cold, the cheese wasn't even melted. The apple juice was dark in colour and had a strange texture. The service wasn't to rave about. The waitress seemed like she could not be bothered, didn't want to be there. There were not many people in the restaurant when we arrived and after this experience I am not surprised. $20 for this is an absolute rip-off.

Service was rubbish. Only 2 staff serving the tables. We saw one staff even tasting someone meal before serving it. Will not be visiting this outfit again. The 2 stars is for the food quality and quantity. We were charged for a drink we did not order. Review and check your bill in this place

Staff don’t even know the name of the dishes they serving us so I had to assume what was what. Asked for a table for 8 people we got placed at 2 different tables another family come in 15 minutes later and they pull the middle divider part out of the the wall and they got one big table then followed by another family not long after. Staff avoid coming to your table to clear dishes, we had ordered dessert and there was piles of dishes on our table and she saw them and just took our order and left them so by the time dessert came we had to make room and eat with the dirty dishes, annoying part is it wasn’t a full house or busy like a normal Sunday is. Please note we’ve been here a few times now but the last visit was probably the worst experience, hoping there is improvements to customer service because it’s a shame, it’s such good food!

A great drop in lunch venue that will satisfy the hunger quickly. Recommend the salad, chips and cheese omelette. Venue is old, run down and extremely tired, but the staff and food definitely aren't. Well done team, your working very hard out South pumping out the meals for the big families

Absolutely disgusting. Mushroom rump steak cooked to medium-well accompanied with a pool of meat juice, I can almost bet that it wasn’t cooked to medium-well and needed to be microwaved, so it was also unevenly cooked. Some parts were okay, and some were really red. I have also ordered chicken curry, the naan was stale, and the rice tasted horrible. Everything was just oily. Lastly, ordering and receiving our food took really long, when there were little customers. Such a horrid experience.
