I wanted to throw my mother in law a surprise birthday high tea because lockdown made her miss out on celebrating her 70th birthday last year. I contacted Fisher House and made the booking end let them know it was for a surprise birthday. The manager Piyush told me he would give us a private room for free if one was available on the day to help with the surprise. On the day we had a private room and the service was above and beyond. The staff if so friendly and helpful. They catered for the dietary requirements I told them about. The food was delicious and well presented. The lovely manager kept checking on us to see if we needed anything and if everything was ok. He later brought a complementary slice of cheesecake to my mother in law and sand happy birthday with us. That was really nice of them and I was so thrilled to see how my mother in law was having the best of time. Everyone enjoyed their meal and had a blast. I can’t thank Fisher House manager and the staff enough for making it a very special day for my mother in law. I can’t recommend this place enough!!!

Been here for both lunch and dinner menus, both are excellent with lots to choose from. Food is tasty and the premises great, well maintained and lovely warm atmosphere. Lots of parking. They also do high tea, I didn't get any photos but it was also really good with our own private room for our group to enjoy.

Great customer service. Upon arrival, was greeted by two wonderful waitresses. Ordered a long island iced tea with corona (👀 as we do) lol while waiting for my family. Delicious scallops ND tasty garlic bread for entree. For main ordered the Angus Scotch fillet and char-grilled lamb rump. Wonderful atmosphere. Definitely recommend medium rare 😍😘.

Excellent place for the a quick meeting with delicious food. The place is situated in the middle of busy industrial area of Auckland and, provide superb service. Staff is friendly. Really looking forward to visit the place soon. Must try the Garlic Bread.

We had a babyshower there this weekend. From the bookings right to the very end they were very helpful and quick to response. The venue was beautiful and the high tea was delicious. The staff went out of their way to make everything perfect. What a wonderful day we had there. Thank you so much.

The restaurant that we often go to. Fillet Mignon is the best. The staff are kind and nice.

I must admit I came here 10 years ago and the food wasnt too great so stayed away until today when a friend suggested we come here. Today food and service was excellent, really appreciate the staff letting us hang out for 3hrs without making us feel like we had to get out. We ate our meals and just drank water which they continued to top up. My salmon meal was so good that I will definitely be returning to have it again very soon.

Fantastic high tea done right on Saturday such a superb successful bridal party for my guests they had mentioned the Great location beautiful atmosphere with awesome surroundings. Did not compromise at all with outstanding customer service quality food and sweets thank you to the team at fisher house and Taylor for your can do positive attitude so accommodating! 5 stars ⭐️

Excellent brunch, everything was tasty. I had the elderflower tea which was lovely and full-bodied from the start.

Went for dinner today first time here working at Fisher & Paykel a lot of our colleagues have dined here in the past and recommended it walked through the front door and it was a warm cozy ambience the decor was classic as if you stepped into someone’s house for dinner it was pretty full on when we walked in today around 5pm we had booked a table for 4 and were seated by the window Range of different meals from steak to pork pasta and chicken my 2 of my colleagues were vegetarian and they noticed there was not many vegetarian options for them to choose from I had the battered fish and chips today which was average quantity was good and the tartare sauce they served with it I found quite different but was ok the lady who served us today was very nice great customer service

Beautiful place to have a quiet and intimate dinner with family and friends. Place is just near by. Great food! Fantastic flavours! Beautiful presentation! Awesome service!

Honestly an amazing place with great service and amazing food, history filled and literal hidden gem as it's located in a business district and doesn't get the attention it deserves in such a location... non the less we'll most definitely be back.

We were quite happy with our order: chicken liver parfait and grilled fish (snapper) and chips. The restaurant has the vibe of a country house and the staff is really nice.

Six months ago Amanda Allan posted a review and mine is exactly the same (minus the cockroach). High Tea with bubbles over $40 but food is identical to her description. Confirmation had been great but on arrival we were confused when given lunch menus. Back to the Cordis 😉

Food was average as. Our food box meals at home are better & we suck at cooking. Give it a good 2.75/10. For the price you would expect more. No seasoning on the steak or chicken. Only flavour was coming from the gravy which wasn’t even all that great either, steak was burnt. Not impressed.

My family & I had family dinner here and we loved it! our server was joyous and kind and made us very comfortable to be around! the food was very delicious, i absolutely loved the golden fries and steak! The desert was lovely too! it was fully booked out because of a work function happening as well but the staff were very gracious and kind not forgetting us haha HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We came with family for dinner - drinks were good. All our food apart from vegetarian burger was old and stale. Mushrooms given with burger were bitter though. Veges with salmon had no taste, salmon was hard, Thai curry had no taste. We did not say anything then as we were celebrating and did not want to ruin our night further. The staff was really friendly. I wonder if we were given stale food due to a party they had at the venue. Oh and fried chicken was stale too it tasted sour. I could not finish any of my food. Next morning everyone else in the morning has sore and lose tummy. So never again Fisher house and will not recommend it to anyone.

Very disappointing high tea. Nice enough venue and appears reasonably clean although the presence of a large cockroach in the dining room should have been enough of a warning to make us leave. The plastic flowers on the table were a bit tacky and the bathroom, although clean looked very tired. The venue is essentially a reasonably nice local bar, with a small restaurant that happens to serve high tea. In that order of priority. The service was adequate, although we were not greeted at reception and had to go to the bar to attract the attention of the staff. Although this could have been an issue with low staff numbers. The food was very ordinary - nothing fancy about it. Only one hot savoury, the scones (date) were stodgy the sandwich fillings were okay, but the bread was thick and dryish on the outside. The sweet offerings all seemed to be mass produced and sourced from off site. We left nearly half of the food. If you are wanting a refined, elegant high tea with delicious, quality food then you may need to look elsewhere. We won’t be going back.

Tried this place for lunch today with my workmates and we were impressed! I got the lamb shank which was so good, the mashed potato was velvety smooth and delicious, the gravy was the highlight and the shank was superb — it wasn’t falling off the bone but it was very tasty. Service was great and the staff were friendly. The food came out fairly quickly. Coffee was a little average but that was the only downer for me! Will definitely visit again.

A nice building with historical events pictured in a book on the table and hung on walls for you to see. Food was decent, a bit on the pricier side compared to other steak houses. Overall a nice experience with a lively atmosphere.
